The Portable Pantry

I have only been into the Portable Pantry one time. However, the team at this cozy café catered my wedding last June. To say they did a stellar job is to not do their effort justice. My wife and I were looking for a low-​key and comfortable burger buffet with a ploughman appetizer and cupcake dessert. They followed through completely and did not disappoint us a single bit.
The ploughman was superb with lots of local cheese, meats and homemade chutneys, pickles and jams. There was even a great fruit platter. Susan, the owner, did an amazing job setting up the table to look rustically elegant. It was a fine center piece for our cocktail hour.
For dinner we asked for a burger bar. Again it was amazingly done. Susan looked tirelessly for local meat and great portabella caps for our veggie guests. The burgers were juicy and perfectly cooked. The bar style (instead of plate service) was great and her team was extremely professional and quick to keep the food coming!
Instead of a wedding cake we asked Susan to make German chocolate and carrot cupcakes. These were easily some of the best cupcakes we have ever had. The German chocolate was rich and fluffy without being too sweet and the carrot cake was perfectly balanced with spices and a nice cream cheese frosting.
My wife and I are lovers of well prepared and artisanal food. Susan and her team from the Portable Pantry blew us away not only with the quality, presentation and flavor. But also with how easy Susan made the planning process. She constantly anticipated our desires and truly delivered us our dream wedding dinner. I cannot say enough about this café, the owner Susan and her team. Do not hesitate to book the Portable Pantry for your wedding or any other function. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!
