Happened to be craving Mexican food while in the area, so I stopped here for lunch after reading some Unilocal reviews. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by colorful décor and a strong, delicious scent coming from the grill. Chips and salsa are brought to the table as soon as you sit town. The chips were warm and fresh, and the salsa was good, though not the best I’ve had. I ordered three corn tortilla tacos: one carnitas, one chorizo, and the other steak and chorizo. I ended up getting flour tortillas instead which I was a little disappointed about, but I was starving and the food smelled so good that I kept them and ate just the filling. The carnitas taco was a little on the dry side, but the chorizo and steak was amazing. I don’t even know how to describe the flavor of the chorizo, but it was juicy and packed so much more flavor than any other chorizo I’ve had before. The dish also came with a side of refried beans which I was a little unsure about at first bite, but I ended up eating more than half of it so I guess you can say I ended up liking them. Overall, the experience was pretty good. I would consider visiting again in the future, but it would mainly be for that surprisingly great chorizo!

From Texas and very picky /biased about Tex Mex food. This place was pretty good and had a large selection. The waitress was friendly and it was a nice place. The iced tea was gross though, but again… I’m used to my Texas tea.

Solid Mexican fare. Slow(s-l-o-oo-o-w) service. Reasonable prices. Fine place to go with a family. Good for groups.

Went in at the end of the night to get takeout and ordered a chile relleno, burritto, enchalada combo. Got it home to find the burrito was just ground beef and the chile relleano was inedable, tasted like cleaning fluid. I have been to other locations in Salisbury and they were my go to Mexican resturaunts. I enjoy the chain, but not this location.

Honestly I don’t understand all the great reviews. The chips and salsa are fine. We had the Hawaiian fajitas and I was very unimpressed. Probably a quarter of a chicken breast and three shrimp in there. three tiny pieces of pineapple. I had the distinct impression that the pineapple shell on my plate had been used for many other dinners prior to the one that I got. There were a few onions and a few peppers. The beef quesadilla from the à la cart menu was just OK. The taco from the children’s menu was good. Flour tortillas were tasteless. Honestly just drive right by this place unless you’re desperate.

If you’re looking for cheap, solid, and tasty Mexican food here is the place. Was here for a convention and decided to stop by this place after seeing it’s menu. Food came out quick and was delicious. If i’m ever in Dover again I will surely go here.

This was such a great find after a client meeting! They have a lunch express menu from which I got a fajita express and my coworker got enchiladas for about $ 8 per dish. It was a good amount of food and so so tasty! Service was great and quick. The place has a great atmosphere and the chips were warm which we loved and the salsa a bit spicy which we loved also. Overall a great experience and I will visit for lunch whenever i’m in town!

I stopped here with a large group of coworkers after arriving in town for a few days of work. We were excited after seeing great reviews online, but somewhat disappointed with the meal afterwards. That said, it was our 2nd best meal in town. Guacamole was very watery — as if they actually added water to extend it. Bizarre. The queso however was delicious — a creamy, white cheese. Mmmmmmm. Definitely a highlight of the night. Most of us ordered fajitas which were a little bit over salted and over cooked. Rest of the group’s entrees were fine. If you’re from a major city and accustomed to eating out a lot it may be a bit of a disappointment, but this is likely one of the better meals you’ll have in Dover.

Good Food and Excellent Service Mi Esposa and I enjoyed dinner, I had the Steak Mexicana, very well seasoned and filling, the appetizers were very good! We were treated very well by our server MEMO pronounced Mehmo. He knows the menu, and its always good when your server say«VERYGOODCHOICE» after you choose your entrée. He is attentive and treated us like family! Ignore the reviews about about«the décor» The food and the service, and prices MORETHAN makes up for it! Stop in and see MEMO ! If you can’t make up your mind, as him for a suggestion.

You never know what to are going to get when you pull into a Mexican Restaurant in a city you’ve never visited before. Sometimes you are disappointed and other times you are pleasantly surprised. This restaurant proved to fall in the group of «pleasantly surprised». We were greeted by smiling faces and were promptly seated and served chips with salsa. The salsa was delicious! I do think it would have been nice to have been brought more than one little bowl but I guess we could have asked. Meals were priced between $ 9-$ 15(far, far less during lunch). I ordered fajita nachos and my partner(32⁄33 years old) ordered enchiladas. O.M.G. Delicious! My nachos were enormous! If you like cheese then this is like cheese heaven. I would say that this could easily make a meal for two. I ate far more than I needed to and still had a third of them left. This is especially true if you still have chips left over from earlier. There is more than enough fajita topping to make another plateful! The enchiladas also deserve a great review. He got the supreme platter and enjoyed the cheese enchilada the most. Great food for great prices! We would definitely return!

Good food at a good price. Always enjoy the service and meal when I have the opportunity to eat here. The location is convenient being right on rt13. I am picky on what Mexican food I like and can always find an enjoyable menu item.

This place has really good food, but it’s not necessarily Mexican food you get in TX or Arizona. Just not the same flare or authenticity as the food you’ll find close to the boarder. Needless to say, my family finds ourselves here quite often! The environment leaves somewhat to be desired because of the tight fit seating and uncomfortable chairs and tables. The outside of the building makes you think you’ve arrived at an old– abandon Wendy’s fast food joint, which you actually have I think… but, alas, you’ll find a much better meal and bar inside!

I love Mexican and this is a great place to get it. It is always fast no matter how many people are there and always hot and fresh. I’ve gotten the taco salad, fajitas, burrito, quesadilla s, chalupa, and tacos. Ive also hag the chicken nuggets since my kids don’t really like Mexican. Won’t say the nuggets were worth it, and the chalupa is nothing like the one at taco bell. Maybe taco bell took the chalupa and made it their own? Its just a scoop of beef on top of a small tostado. The fried ice cream is great as is a fried cream cheese thing wrapped in cinnamon sugar.

I love real Mexican food. This is the best Mexican restaurant in the area. They have really good food at a good price. The interior is no different than any other Mexican restaurant. The food is quite different in that they do not put a lot of sauce all over the food to make it taste good. They have a great dish called Talapia A La Mexicana, it is by far my favorite. I also love the nacho supreme appetizer. The Margaritas are the BEST in town! Be sure to get top shelf alcohol in it as it gives the drink a nice punch :) If you have a taste for good Mexican food & you are in the area, this is the only place in a 50 mile radius that is good! Enjoy!

The meal of fish tacos expertly prepared with all fresh ingredients. My husband had the taco salad all freshly prepared and delicious. Sangria was perfection. Yes we will be returning. The service was perfect and we were quite impressed with our waiter who couldn’t have been more accountable. Kathy

These raving reviews have to be bogus. Let me start off by saying the waiter was completely inattentive. Coming to the table to drop off a pitcher once and that was it. He was curt and ignorant. It was out of the way to even ask for more napkins. This is the furthest from authentic Mexican foods as it comes. The queso was canned American cheese… or at last cut 50⁄50 with it. I live in Philadelphia… we use canned American cheese sauce on our cheese steaks… I know what I was eating! The guacamole was bland and clearly packaged and the«salsa» that came with the stale, burnt oil chips tasted like cold crushed tomatoes. The shrimp quesadilla that I paid $ 10.75 for was completely over priced and disgusting. It tasted like a fish tank and there was American cheese in the quesadilla. Greasy, dirty Shrimp and American cheese… not so pleasant! I drove several hours to see my sister who happened to be a feasible distance from me on a work trip. We were ready to sit, relax and spend some money. We were so dissatisfied we didn’t dare stay for dessert! Try another restaurant… seriously, taco bell has more seasoning in their dishes! At least you know you’re getting cheddar cheese! Never, EVER again!

Love their enchiladas! This is a very good Mexican restaurant and is reasonably authentic. The menu is better than most Am-Mex restaurants. The salsa is better than most places as well, and has a nice zing and good flavor. Comments and Observations: The entire staff is Mexican, which is a good thing. Their enchiladas are my favorite in the whole area(PA, NJ, DE, MD). The chili rellenos are different(someone else said this too)…they contain mashed potato in the stuffing… I enjoyed this. They have the best tamales that I’ve had in 5 years in Southern CA. Their prices are reasonable.

Slop Mexican food served in an over-the-top themed restaurant. They sat us in a dark, dingy booth where the furniture was so big that the waiter had to struggle his way around it to bring us our food. The dishes were heavily seasoned with MSG laden adobo and cooked to death. The service was fast but not at all friendly or welcoming. The complimentary chips smelled of the dirty oil they were fried in. If you must go, head straight to the bar for the drinks and skip the food.
