I’ve been going to this grocery store for almost a decade. I’ve heard several bad reviews about the owner(I don’t know his name, but he has a scar *redness* on his face). Therefore I always avoided him. Young guy who works there is super nice though, very friendly. Today the owner was the register. He was very rude, unprofessional, with a terrible attitude. Now I know why so many have stopped going to this store. Plus, watch out. They have expired items.

This Indian market sells everything you can think of. If your looking for something Indian you’ll find it here. They also sell food to go or to dine in. The taste is average. I do like the spiciness to it. The naan seems a bit soft. I like the thinner a bit crunchy naan.

This is my go to Indian grocery store. It has a typical desi grocery store feel– not fancy at all, just to the point, which is fine by me. They have a wide variety of items with not just groceries, but things like henna, hair oils & Indian movies. The staff is very friendly and helpful; for example, they have a card minimum but there have been a couple times they have let it go if I have no cash on me. What deserves 5 stars though, is their delicious food!!! By far, the best in the area for South Indian cuisine. Usually, I have a difficult time deciding what to order, because there are so many things on their menu to choose from. The channa bhatura is mouthwatering, I say that because my mouth is watering as I type. My mom loves their thali, and surprisingly, their saag is the best I’ve ever had!!! The saag with their roti, which is also delicious, is what I usually end up getting if I’m trying to be health conscious hehe. Their chaat selection is pretty terrific also, I usually always order either the samosa chaat or papdi chaat, both of which are soo yummy! Definitely give this hole in the wall a try if you’re in the area and in the mood for some delicious South Indian food.

So this was the second time my husband and I went to eat at this place, but this time we decided to take our friend. We enjoyed the food, however, our friend poured over the rice onto one of the curry dishes and once he was on his second last bite he noticed that something was odd. This foreign piece he spat out was a small metal piece. We had already finished our food so we just advised the lady who works up front and the man. They said sorry and totaled our bill. We paid our bill and left this place. Ignore the«A» rating from the health department and go with your gut! It’s a sketchy place — my advice is to avoid this place at all costs unless you’re buying prepackaged groceries. Thankfully, our friend didn’t swallow the metal piece!

Samosas and their veggies are great and delicious. But one thing they need to do is to keep the eating area separate from the grocery shoppers looks very weird. And the cashier the girl needs to be professional. And more cleaner storr and rest room of course.

3 stars The food is legitimate some of it 5 star worthy and tasty but the store is a bit worn and dated and not the cleanest at first glance. After leaving I found out the bathroom is nasty which is unfortunately a deal breaker for future visits for me. I am pretty sure they have an «A» rating from the health department which is always a good sign but it would not hurt to do a deep clean to keep up appearances. If you are in the area this may be a good spot for the occasional and inexpensive but tasty Indian sweet or savory snack. This small hole in the wall Indian Grocery store has a little kitchen in the back. Don’t expect a fancy environment, you wont get one. What you will get is some great tasting and inexpensive snacks. I am pretty sure everything here is vegetarian. There are about 4 or 5 bright yellow fast food style tables with benches in the back of the store, again nothing fancy or exciting. Basically you are looking at a bunch of freezers and groceries while eating in so take out is always available as well. Paper plates and plastic serving utensils are used here. I came in here years ago to pick up some samosas to go and remember them being really good. Recently my husband and his coworker have been coming in for samosas, channa samosa, masala dosas(thin crêpe like pancake with potatoes or plain), and pakoras and I kept hearing how much they enjoy the food here so I stopped in to try it myself. SAMOSA-5 stars $ 1 each for an incredibly tasty samosa. The crust is thick enough to stay together, perfectly formed and sturdy, slightly flaky and fried but not greasy at all. Inside are potatoes and peas. Served with tamarind and mint sauce described below. One of my favorites items here. CHANNASAMOSA –5 stars DELICIOUS $ 2.49 for a truly comforting bowl of garbanzo bean soup with peas and spices, it has a sweet savory flavor that is completely addicting. Both times I’ve tried this I was tempted to get another bowl but I didn’t. If you look closely you will see the black specks on top, that’s roasted black cumin, never tried it before but its lovely. Inside the soup is a whole potato samosa, I think quite possibly this is the favorite item I have tried here. PAKORA-5 stars: Indian Mixed Vegetable(spinach, onion, chiles, potatoes all vegetables are mixed together but still individually detectable) fritters sold by the lb. @ $ 5 per lb. New India Sweets and Spices makes a great pakora. The gram(chick pea) flour batter which coats the fried pakora is spiced and seasoned just right. The pakoras are served with tamarind and mint dipping sauces. Dunk a hot pakora in either of the sauces and you will experience an incredible burst of flavors. The house made mint sauce is among the best I’ve tried, its fresh, slightly spicy, and delicious, no neon green fake mint color here. The mint sauce is the real deal. The tamarind sauce is just as good as any I’ve had, sticky, sweet and tangy. I ordered ¼ lb of pakoras and actually received about 1⁄3 lb for $ 1.80. In total the amount was approximately 10 pcs about the size of a bite sized fritter. I loved that they were hot and savory but not greasy at all. Next time I will order more, they were so incredibly tasty! MASALADOSAS-3.5 stars-$ 3.99 I find the flavor to be average but my husband enjoys these filled with spiced potato and served with coconut chutney and spicy sauce DESSERTS I am unfamiliar with a lot of the Indian desserts, but they have a whole case full to choose from, I tried the coconut sweet syrupy dessert balls typically found at Indian Restaurants $.75 cents for 2, sold by the lb., they were sweet but good. SERVICE4 stars, food comes out quickly and efficiently. The ladies at the counter were helpful. AMBIANCE1 star, it is what it is, its an older Indian store with some room for improvement. Located in the old K Mart current Ace Hardware shopping center in Diamond Bar, there is plenty of parking. Bring cash, Credit Cards are accepted for purchases over $ 10.

Searched Unilocal to find a place with the best samosas, and recommendations did not disappoint. I walked in and ordered 2 dozen Samosas to take to a dinner party. They prepared them immediately for me and gave them to me nice and hot with two different dipping sauces. I appreciated that they packaged the sauces individually. Everyone loved the samosas. They were delicious! They were the perfect size filled generously. Especially loved the price $ 1 per samosa. Will definitely come here again.

My parents come here a lot for their Indian grocery needs. They’re typically very well stocked. The owners are pretty friendly as well. I’ve eaten here as well. At the back of the store, there are a few white tables. You order at the cash register and then sit anywhere there’s a spot available. They’ll serve you the food on paper utensils. So, it’s a very casual environment to say the least. But, the food’s not bad. I thought the rice was day-old though. As far as combination grocery store and restaurants go, I’ve definitely had better.

Small store, not neatly organized, not air conditioned, cashier a little frustrated to have to explain menu items… Channa samosa is like a Samoa in a chickpea soup… too spicy for pastor… got the Thali special. After such a spicy samosa. .the special seemed bland… staff telling at each other made me uncomfortable.

I have no clue why this place doesn’t have a higher rating. I have to stop here whenever my husband goes to Ace Hardware. New India reminds me of the shops in Artesia where they sell food, snacks, sweets and groceries cuz why not… you have all the ingredients there. You must try the masala tea($ 1.50/small). It is the best. Rich, deep, well-balanced, smooth. I was curious about their displays so I had lots of questions. The young man behind the counter was super polite, answered all my questions and made suggestions. Not once did I feel rushed or talked down to. Some of the sweets are hits or misses. I do recommend the cheese ball in milk and the masala cashews(both $ 7.99/lb).

This store is located in the large parking lot of Kmart. This is a large store and two wonderful people run it. I was able to found almost all the spices and foods, jams and sweets in here. Loved the Mango chutney Jar which was 3.99 awesome deal. This is close to my house and will have to come back. They had lunch special for 3 – 4 dollars per person. They also sell Indian sweets.
