I found this place because the daughter of the lady who owns this place used to go to my mom’s tutor. Honestly, I am really picky about my hair as more than clothes, my hair is what I focus on the most when it comes to my personal style. I have been to many hair cut places as anyone else and I have officially made this place permanently my go to as long as it is open and as long as I am alive. There are 2 Korean ladies here manning the fort and so their specialty is probably older ladies. I am 24 year old dude who likes to try diff variations of faux hawks. They not only get it to look good but for the past year have consistently got it good every time. Some haircut places get it wrong or off sometimes but she gets it right how I like it every single time and even knows what would look good on me and follows the hair style trends. She suggests new styles to try which I trust her with such as a «line cut» where your upper and side hair are parted by a cut straight line. Anyways, I wanted to write this lengthy review to talk about my experience here. If you are looking for a decently priced stylish place, try this place.

You know when you have a last minute date and your hair be looking like something out of a big foot documentary? Well hair mode is the place to come when you need to tame your mane. I have been coming to this place for over 6 years and I am always pleased with the different styles they are capable of. Faux hawk, to fades, to comb overs, to jeri curls(jk, I don’t think they do this, but who knows). These hair-stylists are amazing when it comes to precision, detail, and efficiency. They are the epitome of «fleek». Heck, they invented that word. They should change their business to Fleek-mode. I’m sure they do all the other hair-styling stuff for females like: perms, highlights, threading, and other stuff(lack of a better term). Their prices are fair, the staff is super friendly, the availability is flexible, and they are swift. You’ll be in and out in no time, just in time to go in-n-out on your date– the burger joint, you perv…

I would love to go this place again. Affordable prices and good services! It is good to make an appointment if you don’t wanna wait, but not necessary.

I am new to the area, so this was the first hair salon I went to. It was a friendly korean hair salon, Men’s hair was 20 $ which is not bad. Pretty good work on the hair, overall I’m satisfied with their service. Edit: Went to get some adjustments, they did it for free :) thank you!

I’ve been getting my haircuts here for 4+ years and have even entrusted my engagement photos + wedding haircuts to them. There are usually two women working who are very nice. Since I show up after work my hair is usually gel’d so they will wash my hair before and after the haircut. After you tell them what you want, they’ll always take their time as they cut your hair. I personally feel like they do a really good job. The one time I wasn’t happy with my haircut I went back and they fixed it for free.(It was the first time the other lady cut my hair and she didn’t use the thinning scissors) This is my go to place.

This is my go to place for a hair cut and I always come out happy with how it’s cut. The workers are super nice and always recognize me whenever I go. The only reason I’m not giving them a 5 is that I’m not happy with how they wash my hair after. I know it’s not a big deal, but I always have a a few straggling pieces of hair behind my ears and on the back of my neck after they wash it. Other than that, they do a great job with Asian hair.

fast cheap haircuts and if they mess up you can go back later or the next day and they’ll kindly fix it for you with no problems! The ladies are always nice and they enjoy their jobs. I’ve become a regular ever since 2006 and probably will continue going for a long long while.

First time getting my hair cut at a Korean place, but I trusted them since the boyfriend has been coming here since Allen Iverson was still famous(sad face) The haircut itself was quick, but not really painless. I feel like they only listen to about 75% of what you want, and the rest they do what they think is best for you. Trust me, I know what’s best for me! I supposed I’m 75% satisfied but since I usually cut my own hair anyways, it didn’t bother me too much because I could always fix it as needed. Make sure you go with a Korean to make the transaction go smoothly and there’s no miscommunication. Cheap and fast!

Service — I’ve been coming here since I was 14(I’m 24 going on 25 now). You know how it is – you find a good hair place, and you kind of marry yourself to it. I first came here when I was basically the neighbor to this place. I moved to Orange County, and I still made my way up here to get my hair cut. There are at the least one of two ladies that always work here. They can’t speak the best English, but they are friendly. Quality of Product — I can’t complain about their hair cutting abilities, as it’s pretty easy to get my hair cut. I never had to show them a picture as it’s a typical cut. BUT, if you plan on getting a more sophisticated cut that requires you to show a picture and you’re expecting a replica of the model – don’t. They’re talented individuals, but I’m pretty sure they cut the hairs of older generation Korean people. So… simple hair cuts, no problem; sophisticated hair styles, try looking for another place. Oh, one thing I loved about this place is they cut my hair fast. My cuts takes them 5 – 10 minutes, never less and never more; and this is a great thing, as I’m always in a bit of a time crunch. Atmosphere — This venue is just like your small, Korean hair salon. Don’t expect fancy, but don’t expect run-down. The place is clean, they have Korean drama playing all the time so your wait isn’t too boring. Price & Value — For men, it costs $ 15 for a hair cut. Do I think a simple hair cut is worth $ 15? Probably not, but I’m married to this place, and no one ever said marriages were cheap(har har har)! But seriously, it’s a small business, and I support these ladies. Parking — This place has very limited parking, especially on a busy day. They share a parking lot that probably fits about 20 cars max with ~8 businesses. The spaces are also either small or you can’t tell where the space starts and ends. My recommendation is to just fit yourself in somewhere and hope no one dings your door. Good luck! Overall — This is a great place to get your hair cut. There are several factors that may create some inconvenience for some, but for the most part, simple cuts will have you leaving satisfied. $ 15 for a hair cut for adult males, so not too bad. Don’t forget to tip!

Absolutely stay away from here. Yes, it’s reasonably priced($ 15 for men), but you will feel regret when walking out. Your hair is washed with cold water briefly for 10 seconds. No shampoo was used. I showed a picture of how I wanted my hair, and it hardly looked similar. Haircut was done in 10 minutes or less. Convenient, yes, but no attention at all. Even if this haircut was free, I wouldn’t come back. Save your time, money, and go somewhere else. I will never come back. The haircutter’s name was Grace.

Got my haircut here, forgot the price but it was cheap — I think the $ 15 quoted by the other reviews is correct. Hard to find, but that’s a good thing because the wait was really short. Located on the second story. Korean hairdressers. I was pleased with my haircut, so I’ll be coming back.

A true whole in the wall(Yes, WHOLE) Located on the second floor of a small plaza off of Diamond Bar Blvd, this location may be easily over looked. Keep your eyes open, Hair Mode is a gem! I was looking to get a quick haircut before my cousins birthday party. Had about 2 hours to sacrifice and needed something quick! As I drove down DB blvd, Hair Mode caught my eye. I wasn’t expecting much because the prices were suspiciously… REASONABLE… compared to all of the other Asian ran stores in the area. Ms. Park,(who I later found out was the owner) was extremely friendly and attentive to my hair. I thought I was going to be hit with an extra charge for the additional styling /deep scalp shampoo I received. To my pleasant surprise there was no additional charge! — Whole hair cut(sharper than ever) — Visit was under a whole 15 minutes — Whole deep scalp shampoo — For a 15.00 !!! Wholey Moley! As I floated out of Hair Mode, I looked in the mirror and wholeheartedly felt more presentable than ever! Awesome. highly recommend.

The shop is on the second floor. These shops tend to not get patronized that often. I needed a haircut so badly and decided to go here after walking in and out of the salon Hair Habit also located on Diamond Bar Blvd. This shop is is decorated and maintained much better than the first shop I visited. The ladies inside greeted and treated me nicely from the get go as well. My hair came out much better than it usually does as well.
