The other night here I had an altercation with the bouncer here. I rode my bike up there and locked it to the fence. I didn’t realize it was blocking a gate to get in the parking lot next door. The bouncer came over to my friends and I and was very rude asking if we rode a bike here. He was acting like we were retarded. He followed me out side and told me to «not lock my fucking bike to the fence over there» I told him it wasn’t a big deal and I didn’t do it on purpose. I went on to lock my bike elsewhere then heard him explaining to the other bouncer that some«jackass» locked his bike to the gate. I wanted to say more to him but I had a friend in from out of town and didn’t want to get kicked out. Either way that guy made me never want to go there again. I have met the owner through a photo studio I work at and he is nice. I think the bouncer had too much muscle milk this day.

The owner or whoever he is with the stupid mustache, honestly drives customers away. He stands around like a hawk nagging every little thing you do to the point where I felt harassed. I have been coming here for years and after my last encounter they will no longer have our business.

Came here on a Friday with a small group. The crowd was good, although college-y, the bar had a rustic feel with lots of weird quirks like a fireplace and a ring toss game. However, there were downsides. There was a really creepy guy with a red beard sitting at the bar that kept staring at a friend of mine, which, you can’t really blame the bar for, but that was just the start of the night. Then, the same Taylor Swift or whoever song played 10 times in a row on the jukebox. You would think the bartender would skip it or something, but the Johnny Bravo looking bartender just ignored it and the Japanese or something bartender was nowhere to be found(she was apparently outside talking to people). Suffice to say, it took forever to get a drink. The drinks we got were good when we finally got them and it was a decent place otherwise, but it had really slow bar service and weird people sitting around the bar.

There are many good things to say about this bar — the food, strong and well-mixed drinks, friendly bartenders, etc. However, I must say they have a problem with holding grudges. For whatever reason, I’m not allowed to drink at this bar because the head bouncer thinks I’m someone that got arrested there and, I assure you sir, I am not. To be honest, I’ve brought people from all over to hang out at your establishment, but it seems to me that you don’t appreciate the business. Last night was the first night I was back since my birthday when I chose your place for an after party just to be kicked out in front of the 40+ people I brought with me. What did you do on my first night back? You kicked me out again. This is why I choose to take my business South down Cass to the Old Miami — much better people over there and they let you carry in your own food, they have a pool table, fire pit, and live music all the time. Not to mention, they put on bangin’ parties in the giant backyard too(feels just like you’re at home). Much better vibes at The Old Miami compared to 3rd Street. That bald dbag you call a bouncer is probably why The Old Miami was packed wall-to-wall with people on a Thursday night when 3rd had a whopping 10. I feel sorry for the bartenders who work their butts off just to get a crappy tip from people who encountered this a-hole. At least Old Miami’s bouncers don’t have a pissy attitude from being fisted too hard before their shifts. The Old Miami epitomizes the Detroit grit and hustle that people come from all over to experience, while 3rd just tries to keep up. Word of advice: Try harder. ‘Til then, I ain’t comin’ back.

Best bar in town. Great service, great drinks, good vibes. Plus, can’t beat a great patio in the summer. Good for all walks of life.

Decent prices, but some of the rudest and most disrespectful employees out there.

We came to keep drinking. Mainly for dessert because of the Dangerously Delicious Pies is located inside the venue. So drinks and dessert it is. They had their Atwater Vanilla Java Porter was on special, so we ordered a round of those. Plus these would probably go great with the dessert pies we ordered. I like this venue, the whole industrial feel of the place just seems very right. Plus I like the repurposed wooden wire cases for the tables. Good drinks, good food makes for a very good night. My friend was buying the drinks and dessert, so we did their special on Atwater java porters. The place is pretty good, I like the whole luchador masks the bartenders wear. There are games to play if you want to be doing something competitive when drinking. Usually I prefer to sit and conversate. Speaking of conversations, I don’t know if it’s just that night we went. But the sound system was rather painfully loud. I’m really not into shouting at my colleagues when we’re just talking about something in particular. A proper audiophile couldn’t hurt to check on the system.

I can’t believe it took me so long to go to Third Street. It was a great atmosphere, good drinks and there is skee-ball in the corner. On top of that Dangerously Delicious Pies is there to accompany good drinks.

Been here a bunch of times and it’s a pretty cool bar with great outdoor seating when the weather is nice. They just newly renovated behind the bar and looks much better. Drinks are good and staff is cool. This is a great place for large groups it can be a little over whelming with college kids since Wayne state is around the corner.

The Dangerously Delicious Pies is probably the number one reason I visit Third Street but the bar itself is pretty cool. Prices are decent, bartenders are quick and friendly, and the bar atmosphere is relaxed but fun. I love the skee ball machines and various games along with the cozy couch seating mixed between high top tables. It reminds me of a hunting lodge that somehow wound up in an urban city. It’s a cool place to have a relaxed bar night out without laser lights and a huge dance floor. But those pies— definitely go for the pies. SMOG is amazing and has me attempting replicas at home :)

3rd Street used to be my bar of choice when I attended WSU. I hated when it closed, so to hear of its reopening was awesome. I couldn’t wait to see the old place again. I thought what they did with the space was pretty cool. The Delicious Pies are unique, but seem to be a hit. I was disappointed that the old signature pizza was no longer served, as it was the highlight of the place. I actually thought that the delicious pies, were in fact the old pizza. Oh well. I was served a whiskey old fashioned on the rocks, that is clearly not a normally ordered drink, and had to explain what ir was… then once served, it had knats in it. Also disappointing. I would rate lower stars, but, I still would like to believe in what the old 3rd Street used to be. It had potential

I primarily come here to get the pies they sell in the back, but I do enjoy this place as stand alone bar, as well. On the plus side, they have a fun set up with cool furniture. They also have a shuffle board table, dart boards and skee-ball! More importantly, they are the home to Dangerously Delicious Pies. On the downside prices of beers are a bit pricey and the draft beer selection is rather limited. Overall, a decent bar for starting or ending a night out, but not a main course kind of bar.

Stopped in here on a busy night for a quite bite to eat before catching a concert. Surprisingly not too buy for a Friday! They have a really nice large sized patio with picnic tables, and«ring on a string»(a really simple game where you try to get the ring on a string on the hook on the wall, sounds easy… but its not). They bar has a good selection of beers on tap and the vibe is super cool. Really laid back and chill. They have shuffleboard, darts, and a few other games which makes it a fun spot to hang out at. My husband and I each ordered the pulled pork Pie from Dangerously Delicious Pies and we both enjoyed them, however they did take quite a while, about a half hour after ordering. Thankfully we weren’t in a rush and we were enjoying ourselves. I definitely plan to go back next time I’m in the area and looking for a chill, not too crowded place to grab a drink.

Come here. Come here now. You don’t know what you’re missing! If you are a local, please come on Tuesday nights, eat some pie, listen to my best friend and I sing Vanessa carleton’s 1,000 miles, and have a dang good time! If you aren’t a local, come for Sunday brunch, it’s new and fresh and amazing and with the drink prices, no wrong can be done. From the outside it may not seem like much, but the inside will have you coming back for ages

This review is for Inside 3rd — the brunch that occur at Third Street bar. We were there on a Saturday… I’m not 100% positive if it occurs on Sundays as well. But this brunch was FANTASTIC. I ordered the 313 breakfast nachos which are thinly sliced potatoes with chorizo, scrambled eggs, shredded cheese, sour cream and peppers. I added avocado to it as well. I had this with a couple of mimosas and my bill was about $ 20. The mimosas are $ 5 a piece and they also had a bloody mary offering that came with a tostitos pizza roll a top it! I found the food to be absolutely delicious. The only complaints several of my friends had were the portions. They did tend to be slightly on the small side and the chorizo was minimal on the breakfast nachos, but overall, it was delicious. I’d definitely recommend this as a brunch spot. Plus, we have a group of 12 or so and they were very accommodating.

If this place was a color it would be grey. It was the most«Meh» place I think I have ever been to. It wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great. It wasn’t good, nor bad. It was just plain Jane. And that is fine if you are a regular or it’s around the corner from you or something, but I can’t see myself making it a point to go there. That is unless you are getting Dangerously Delicious Pies. That’s the only reason I think I would go back. I’m not saying don’t give this place a shot, but I guess what I’m saying is that it didn’t make me think, «I need to come back to this place!»

It’s got a cool enough atmosphere, I like these types of bars though. I like them when they are a little ramshackle and different. The decorating is pretty cool and rustic, and they seem to have a sense of humor. We were there eating some deliciousness from Dangerously Delicious Pies and they were playing the Puppy Bowl and the Kitten Bowl on Super Bowl Sunday. They have shuffle board and a few other games. It’s just a laid back atmosphere. They have a juke box, which is something not enough places have anymore and it didn’t seem like anyone care if you were dressed in pajamas or a suit. Just a cool little neighborhood hangout. One problem I did have though was that I asked for Vernors and he said they had it, but it wasn’t Vernors. It was crappy bar ginger ale… but whatever.

For what it is I have to give it 5 stars… for what I needed it to be on a Monday night after work I’d give it 1. Honestly, I just wanted some freaking pie… what I got was incredibly loud(read: ear piercing… and I’m pretty sure I’m partially deaf) indie rock to heavy metal, skipping past the 80’s along the way, but still playing Jack Johnson? I was confused and disoriented by what fell out of the juke box at an excruciatingly loud decibel. I’m not sure if this bar is Midtown elitist or Nihilist but I think this is a fine place to come tip a few back if you feel like being in a rowdy space without a rowdy crowd(with exception of the sororityesque woohoo girls that were there that night). Service was great once I was actually acknowledged… then again I left my stocking cap at home so perhaps they just couldn’t see me at first. Three bartenders, for maybe 15 people sitting at the bar, plus a table of 8 and our table of two. It appeared a little overstaffed for how unstaffed it seemed, if that makes sense. Then again… my stocking cap, drat. That aside, next time I’d just come back with a flask and use their facility to chill in. It’s Moose Lodge meets ski lodge complete with fireplace(working or not, who knows), skeeball, darts and a shuffle board table, some high-top tables and a couch or two. If I was in walking distance I’d be a regular… this is a cool place to chill but I’d come with friends because I didn’t get the friendlies from anybody in the building.

This place is always my first choice to go drink. You don’t have to deal with the«bro» crowd or pretentious hipsters here. The drink prices are great and the bartenders are always friendly and hilarious. They also have live music and karaōke once a week, it’s great fun! Dangerously Delicious Pies also lives here. Omg, get a pie, do it. If you only eat one thing between now and the day you die, get their pie.
