Theeeeee best taco truck. Cheap, delicious and QUICK street food. The will give you extra limes if you ask. I love the steak tacos they are only about $ 2 each. I go to #3 (I think) on Michigan Avenue. Please, don’t forget to leave a tip.

If you are looking for some of the best Tacos in the city but don’t want to dine in. Then this is the spot they are always parked in the parking lot located on Michigan ave and Martin st. The chicken tacos w/​onions and cilantro are absolutely killer. I always order 5 or 6 at a time. The only thing is they are a little pricey for a taco truck.

I love this! Best taco truck is southwest. It is a Taco truck still, but better than a few others that I tried around town. El Guapo could learn a thing or two here.

Outstanding tacos. The pork tacos are just about the best I’ve had north of the border.

Drive to Detroit at the corner of Michigan Avenue & Martin Road (west of Livernois and north of Mexicantown). Eat Mexican food from Tacos el Toro 3 food truck. It’s not Cuban fare, but it’s great Mexican food. And, you will feel like Robert Downey, Jr.

Most expensive tacos form the trucks here in Detroit and very salty Cabeza and al pastor !

This Truck is great! I go for a visit all the time. The taco’s are great Ive only had the ground beef and recently the steak. I recently got them w/​cheese, lettuce, and tomatoe’s which brings them up to what, $ 2 each? Oh and btw if you’re not a fan of the corn shell you can request flour. Ive also had a couple burrito’s, very good, I think the steak is a better choice. The Salsa or «hot sauce» is great also. Plus the young lady that works there is cute, lol.

We were on our way to the opera, running way early due to utter lack of traffic. Heading down Michigan Ave where there are about six strip clubs you pass on your way between I-​94 and downtown, abandoned buildings, we even spied a rat. Classy, very classy. Then we spotted it, a taco truck. Tacos el Toro.
Yep there we stopped. On the way to the opera, standing in the sketchy parking lot, chowing down on tasty tacos. Between us we had cabeza, al pastor, barbacoa and asada nicely topped with onions and cilantro and in slightly crunchy tortillas. Friendly guy serving, bargain pricing but a bit tricky eating.
So worth it. Happy tacos indeed. We were hungry so we did not care a bit about the lack of ambiance. James helped me not make a complete wreck of myself and in return I let him sample some of my picks. We savored our meaty treats and debated about doing a taco run sometime this summer, just the two of us having a little adventure. I realized after seven years of marriage my husband can still happily surprise me, all thanks to eating tacos from a taco truck.
We will come back.

Awesome. Found a different truck today while driving down Michigan Avenue.
Tried both cabeza and al Pastor tacos. Both were tasty. They were prepared with the standard onions and cilantro and I had them add some of their red hot sauce. The shells were slightly different than most of the trucks, almost having the consistency of a flour tortilla that has been grilled for some time and having a slight crunch.
When I asked for everything I was also given a side of marinated carrots which were excellent, lime and radishes. This all made for a very nice plate.
I definitely want to get back and explore this truck a bit more.
