I was very disappointed. I was seated by a rude waitress who didn’t even greet us. After sitting and waiting for over 15 minutes we returned our menus and left.

Nikis has always been good i guess in my older age now, i find the sauce on the pizza a bit salty but still good. I haven’t been here in close to three years, the inside has changed greatly with more seating an added bar in the middle and its just all around nicer! My waiter mumbles a bit and i didnt understand that he was saying that today Wednesday was half off large pizza day i think because of the Tigers game today im not sure however i didnt know till i walked out. The place is clean and comfortable and customer service was good. The place can get noisy at times and they have outside seating too. Its pretty much kids friendly too i use to bring mine back in the day and mine were bad as all get out at a place to eat sometimes but nobody is worse than their dad tho so yeah dont be shy bring kids LOL.

A bunch of us were in town for work. Niki’s was just a short walk from our hotel. Our server suggested various menu items and was spot on. The food was outstanding. As I’m an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan, and Niki’s has Direct TV, I asked the bartender if he could tune to the channel the game was on. No problem! It was awesome! Great food and Blackhawks hockey!!!

Hit’em up during a 5 hour layover(easily done with time to spare) and 10 days in China. Our jet lagged bellies craved something familiar and Niki’s did not disappoint. We ordered two pies, a gyro and the Saganaki. Everything was fantastic. The Saganaki was first to arrive. Saganaki is greek cheese that is doused in brandy then lit on fire table side. It was hot, gooey and had earthy nutty flavors served with a nice spongy bread to spread it on. The pizza’s have their own classification: Detroit Greek Style Pizza. Think pan pizza, with a thick buttery crust. The Feta Pizza(their legitimately famous for it) was out of sight… salty and cheesy with a bold, zesty sauce to tie the whole thing together. The gyro was good with fresh veggies, a good tzatziki and flavorful meat but I’ve had better pita bread. It’s massive and the roughly the size of a cornish hen! We had a great server, the place is casual, and the prices are highly competitive. Though I’m not familiar with the Detroit dining scene, I’d say it’s definitely worth a visit. Hint on parking: Park at the casino for free and just walk over.

Niki’s is always my go-to for pizza whenever I’m downtown. Every time I eat there it’s always solid. Their pizza is Detroit style deep dish. It’s cheesy, but not too cheesy. They’re also very generous with the toppings. Many pizza places overdo it when piling cheese and toppings on, but Niki’s finds a good balance. The dough is soft on the top and inside and crispy on the outside. It’s such a satisfying bite! Niki’s is a perfect place if you wanna grab some great pizza and have a beer. My only criticism is that almost every time I’ve been, the tables have been a little sticky. It almost doesn’t matter though because the pizza is so great and the service is fantastic.

Sooooo… I was craving saganaki in Greektown so went to Nikkis on Beaubien… I had my heart set on some good ‘ol flaming cheese and sweet sweet warm pita… this is what came cold and stale… sliced Italian-style baguette bread. Service was the only thing positive I can say about this experience.

If you are looking for a well made pizza then go here. Been here twice and enjoyed both visits. Service was great and never have to wait. Check out the Mediterranean pizza.

The pizza was very tasty, but they forgot my sangria and that made me a tad upset Also we ordered a Hawaiian pizza which on the menu says comes with cheese ham and pineapple It came out with onion for some reason Then we were charged for a beer we never ordered While I would come here again only for the pizzas quality it’s not worth the service. I hope anyone who decides to come here doesn’t get our waitress, I think she’s on something funny. I suggest pizzapopolis around the block. That shit is amazing.

Delicious pies here. They take Buddy’s Detroit-style pizza and make it their own. Some of my friends say that don’t like Buddy’s and they like this place. I personally love both for there own reasons. The décor here is pretty odd. It’s not sure if it’s a sports bar, an old country restaurant, or a trendy industrial restaurant. This odd combination makes for an unappealing décor and atmosphere. But their patio is nice(weather permitting and if you’re alright with the potential of a homeless person asking you for food or money while you’re eating, which if you just ordered an entire pizza then give the man a slice). And you can always do takeout. They have a nice selection of traditional pizzas and throw in some greek flavoring on some as well, harkening to their Greektown location. They’ve won a fancy award for their feta pizza, but if you’re going to do that then I would just get a greek pizza or a mediterranean pizza. It’s a little pricey for pizza, but considering how many people will share a pie with you and that this is a far cry from a hot ‘n’ sweaty, I think it’s worth it. I’ve ordered from here a few times already and will be doing so again in the future.

Alright Detroit this Gem has been here consistent forever! I moved to Florida about 4 years ago and I do make my trips back to Detroit. This place is always on my list of stops when I come back into town. I’ve somehow convinced myself that jets pizza is awesome, it’s only when I come back to a place like Niki’s that I realize what Detroit pizza is really supposed to be! They might not do all things right there, one thing they do right is pizza, and it’s well worth the trip in! This is a must stop when visiting Detroit.

Me and a few Friday’s had an outing and decided to end it at Nickis. Really they wanted Coney Island but I begged for Nickis. We needed up ordering a bbq chicken pizza. The large ended up being $ 17 but it’s not as bad if you split it three ways. Not as great as Buddy’s pizza but definitely better than a coney any day. The service wasn’t too slow. Pizza was good

No clue why it gets anything above a 3. Dry and bland and not even in the discussion with Buddy’s, Loui’s, or Green Lantern. In addition, their shuttle driver is poor as he blows red lights. Unreal.

So, nobody warned Niki’s what happens when the Slow Roll wraps up near your restaurant. They were staffed for an ordinary Monday night and were a little unprepared for(all of) us. So while our service was a bit slow and they missed the opportunity to sell me a second beer, those aren’t necessarily ongoing issues. Our food was pretty tasty and I’d give them another go. You should too. But you’re on notice Detroit restaurateurs: we come to ride bikes and spend money in the city. Check the schedule. Plan accordingly.

Love Nicki’s. We have been comming here for years. Salads are fresh and sooo generous. Their home made house Greek dressing is the bomb. Let me rave about their pizza !! Every piece is crusty on the edges yet tender in the center. Come to Nickki’s, you will Love it.

The Greek pizza is on point here. It’s the only thing I eat when I come here, it’s that good! For the most part, the service is pretty good and attentive. It just depends on who you get. Happy eating! :)

Don’t let the stingy Unilocal reviews steer you away. If you’re looking for solid pan pizza in Detroit near Greektown, this is your best bet(yes, even over Pizzapapalis). Picture a pan pizza that is thicker, crunchier on the bottom, with a cheesier crust and less grease than a Jets pan pizza. No I’m not exaggerating. Go for the Mediterranean. It is much better than their Famous Feta, which was apparently rated one of the 25 best pizzas in America by GQ at one point. I do agree with the rest of the reviewers that their other food choices are sub par and that’s why this place gets a worse rep. But I would not say it is one star worthy. The gyro is the only other thing I would recommend on their menu. Although you can get a better one down the street in Greektown. I would avoid the Greek salad. Iceberg lettuce and bland Greek dressing does not combine well.

I always love visiting Greektown. We were in the area after the Tiger game and wanted to get a bite to eat. We stumbled upon Niki’s and the group consensus was Yes! They have a great variety on the menu from pizza to authentic greek food. Of course when in Greektown, you go with Greek food right? We started off with Saganaki. Who doesn’t love flaming cheese! Opa! Fabulous blend of flamed cheeses really can satisfy anyone’s tastebuds. I do wish it was served with pita bread rather than their regular table bread. But it was still tasty. Even though it wasn’t greek, we wanted to get their calamari. A huge plate was delivered to the table. It was fabulous! It was lightly breaded and served with a cocktail sauce and also a spicy aioli. I was so full after the appetizers but we didn’t stop there. I tried their Gyro with slices of lamb, tomato, onion and tzatiki sauce. Perfect in every bite. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. It was stuffed full in the pita for a great gyro sandwich. Service here was fantastic. Our waitress did an amazing job with keeping our drinks full. Her bright and bubbly personality was key here making us feel welcomed like one of her friends. My only gripe would be about the club next door which had their music up so loud it was coming through the restaurant walls. Otherwise it was a great visit to Greektown and Niki’s is the place to eat!
