It must take a special talent to make a burger quite so tasteless. Garlic fries — Get a mixture of plain and garlic. Service was friendly, professional.

While Belgium IPAs are some what hard to find, I am pretty sure I had my best one here. Guest tap from Blue Point. That aside, nice looking place with stellar service. Nice, knowledgeable and attentive. Definitely stop by if you’re by the A73 gate.

Decent place to grab a bite at the airport. Friendly service and pretty fast for those in a hurry. Huge bar area with a ton of tvs. Super cool is each table has a plug in so you can charge while you eat. I got the Cajun fish tacos($ 16) that come with a side of rice and beans. They were okay, but they were definitely too salty. Lots of craft beers on tap for those needing to take the edge off from a stressful travel day.

Beer was good, food was so-so, service was pretty awful. I caught them at a shift change but it shouldn’t take 10 minutes to order. Even at non airport restaurants it shouldn’t take 40 minutes to get your food. And who lets their employees change their shoes in the bar area… hope I didn’t get food poisoning…

What more could you want from an airport bar? There are some bad reviews but I had a good experience. Went in, sat at the bar, charged up my phone, had a delicious«guest» IPA, and a tasty sandwich. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. I would say that airport bars probably have more turnover with the staff than others, and also pretty high peaks and low valleys of business. So will you like it here? It may depend on how those factors are shaking out when you stop over.

I come here anytime I have a layover in Detroit and have yet to have bad service, food, or most importantly; beer. I will preface that with the fact I always sit at the bar. I love GB in general and have enjoyed their beer from DC to Denver and parts in between. With the exception a stop in at a DC airport location, all others have been excellent.

3 hour delay so hitting the Gordon Biersch Brewery! Ordered the Classic Buffalo Wings and the Famous Gordon Biersch Garlic Fries(the way to my heart) The wings were a bit cold but the taste was good! The ranch dressing was delish! The fries well they are my piece of heaven! Not too much garlic where Dracula is crying — the fries are crisp outside and soft inside and not greasy at all! I paired it with a GB Hefeweizen– l recommend this one. Heaven! Our waitress was Sonia and she was a total doll! So sweet and had great conversation skills :) that’s why I gave it a 4 star.

Because of the horrible service from the hostess I walked out. The dining area was open and not busy, as a business traveler I asked to be seated at at larger table do I could work while I eat. I do this very often. With snarling attitude that escalated to sharing with her co workers one I’m assuming was a manager as they laughed and snarled again . Their lose of a meal and several drinks . Can’t help with the quality of the food but the service was not for me.

Horrible service and horrible beer. Maybe my expectations are too high. They seem to be short handed. Nice enough people so I’ll give them one more star. $ 18 for a beer and fries. They gave me a 20 oz beer. Way more than I can drink.

Garlic Fries are the bomb. Should probably check to see who you’re seated next to in the flight though before you indulge. Had the slider platter which combined 3 Kobe sliders, 3 pork sliders and the aforementioned fries. The sliders were OK and would have been great and at least another star worthy if they were a bit more warm/hot. Still a nice add to the restaurant scene here in this terminal and worth another visit in the future.

What would constitutes as an inviting welcome, other than family members at the airport? An airport with a brewery does in my opinion. Once you’ve landed, or perhaps you’re preparing for a long or short flight you have the option of enjoying a fine craft or cocktail to settle the nerves. We all know it’s going to be a 30% mark up on anything you choose seeing you are in an airport. I did enjoy 2 pints of Hop-A-Peel, and a Dirty Blonde while both were refreshing with an appetizer of fried artichokes. If you’re mildly hungry I’d pass on this, you have other options in the airport you can peruse. A great brewery with a good liquor and wine selection, but sub-par food in my opinion. Other than the whole dining experience, this is an ok spot to break away from the airport rush.

Its nice that they gave this end of Detroit terminal a much needed facelift. My fave Chicken Fillet place is now there. Also crap service, I walked away again last week without ordering. Jeez go to MSP airport and they get it right. Anyway back to this nut job, so bad it makes you laugh place… The worst service ever, they still have the same staff from the old Heineken bar and some new additions but they are so clueless and useless it is almost like being on a reality show. I was wondering if the joke was on me and it’s a hidden camera show. Where’s that loud mouth prick from Bar Rescue? Waiting for around 10 minutes for acknowledgement and then trying to order a beer, am I an alien? Chick is bringing checks to random people and some muppet bringing me food that I didn’t order, some poor bastard is gonna get that food after everyone at the bar who it was placed erroneously in front of has breathed all over it. They are rude and don’t care, lets just make it through this shift… I know it’s a airport bar, I am not expecting Eleven Madison Park but come on… REALLY. it’s shocking. Good job I paid my check, leaving cash on the bar because I couldn’t flag down a muppet for 10 minutes. They need management now and not some disaffected who gives a s* that they have. Why do places like MSP airport manage to get this right? Atlanta airport is another place like this, crap show. Its so bad it’s funny. Come here for a Seinfeld Soup Naziesque experience. The beer is good but honesty. every time I go there I leave shocked at how totally useless and clueless their servers are… There will not be another time, I am somewhat of a captive audience, traveling via DTW on a weekly basis but NO. I would rather sit and drink my piss that deal with these muppets. It’s THAT bad. Go to Vino Volo, although it’s not close to our gates at least they seem to give some semblance of a s** Look, do yourself a favor and do not go here it’s crap. Honestly if you run this place manager you should be ashamed of yourself.

Stopped in for a bite to eat before my flight. I had 1hr before my flight and was sat promptly but after 10 – 15 minutes and the waitress haven’t even taken our drink order we left. Mainly because a group of 4 – 5 waitress’ was«chatting» at the waitress stand instead of tending to patrons. I will never suggest this. I was never served and left to make sure I had something to eat before my flight.

Anyone who knows me knows that I enjoy a cold, crisp brew and Gordon Biersch never disappoints. I also grabbed a bite to eat and I will admit, even though this location is in an airport, the food was delicious and the beer was wonderful. This location also had some beer on tap from other breweries which some locations do. The only reason I am not giving this a five star was the service. Although the service was good, it was not great either and I was sitting at the bar, which was not full so I expected better service. That being said, I will be stopping in this place on the way back!

It’s amazing how much a beer cost at an airport, yet the place is still packed. This place reminds me of the movie Hallpass when Luke Wilson orders three shots of tequila and it cost $ 40. Except this is an airport pub and not a fancy night club. If you don’t order a beer, then a meal for one might be under $ 20; if you consider an appetizer a meal. The burger wasn’t terrible and the garlic fries had enough grease to curb the worst of hangover munchies so if that’s what you’re craving then this place will pass as satisfactory.

This restaurant is priced as a fancy one, but serves truly underwhelming food. First of all they told me that none of their tap beers was available. I can understand 1 or 2 of them being not available, but the whole tap list… Second I order a 25 dollars seared tuna and the quality was really bad. The tuna was poorly cut, the rice was all sticking together, and the presentation looked like the food had been thrown on the plate. If you are stuck in Metro airport, eat somewhere else.

This was an airport bar, so what you get is what you expected. They had friendly service, a good beer selection and standard chain bar/restaurant fare. However, I had just enough time to enjoy a beer and meal, and was exited to do so… but, my meal came out wrong and I did not really have time to send it back, so I simply sucked it up and went with it. The food was still good, but the staff could have made more of an effort to at least acknowledge that my dish was completely wrong. Instead they just brushed it off and acted like me getting something I didn’t order was a norm. Overall, it was what I expected. nothing too bad, but nothing spectacular. If I am in this part of narnia again, I will more than happily belly up to this bar, but maybe only for a drink this time.

Located near the far end(the 70’s) of terminal A, GB was a great pit stop before my connection to JFK. They offer standard Brewery pub style food, in addition to the house draft beers. Portions were actually generous, and reasonably priced. Quality was on the higher end for airport food. I enjoyed a half pint of hefeweizen, with a cup of creamy southwestern corn chowder($ 4.50), and an order of cornmeal dusted, fried artichokes($ 10). The chowder had a little body to it, and was quite flavorful. The artichokes were nicely done, without a heavy coating, and the lemony aioli was good. And so plentiful that I couldn’t finish the plate. Service was very attentive. I’d wager that GB would be your best bet when at Detroit Int’l.

This was like a mirage. After a day of sitting in an airport and flying most of the day, this place springs up at the end of gate A. They serve beers from Gordon Biersche brewery out of California as well as coffee, wine, and some mixed drinks. They also offer a few danish and muffin selections. Starting in November of 2014 they will open with a full menu. Friendly staff and a quite laid back atmosphere, odd for most airports. Misty and James took great care of me. I hope they get bonuses for being mentioned… If not, they should. So if you are in the airport, stop on by and grab a cold one.
