I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. I went here for brunch and it was amazing!!! The food and portions are beyond great, the service was spectacular, and the unlimited mimosas is the way to go. I got the burger and it was delicious!

Met with a good friend for brunch this morning. Nice atmosphere with decent food. Unlimited mimosas will have you lit. The power went out for 5 minutes but that didn’t stop the brunch flow. Food was okay. During brunch there was a banjo and bass player who strummed over the crowds murmurs.

I’ve been here a couple times. The food is good for lunch and dinner never had their brunch. I know they have bottomless mimosas and really good bloody marys. Their bloody Mary is very balanced it’s not too salty or spicy, however they can make it spicy if you like. It’s cool in the summer too they open thr patio and it’s a cool atmosphere. Even in winter with the ice skating rink outside makes it a nice place for a date, Dinner, drinks and an activity. Sunday brunch had a little folk style band, very good background music.

I had a late-brunch(2pm) at Fountain Bistro. My brunch companion had the ultra decadent, Bacon Peanut Butter Banana Pancakes. No surprise, she was unable to finish her entire meal. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Hash. It consisted of breakfast potatoes with smoked salmon, hollandaise and poached eggs with a small croissant. I probably shouldn’t have cleaned my plate, but did. Being a mid-September day, we had extra appreciation for the outdoor seating knowing that cold weather was just around the corner. The al fresco dining at Fountain Bistro is especially enjoyable being, as the name suggests, next to the fountain. All in all, it was a solid meal in a lovely locale.

The hanger steak sandwich and the wild mushroom omelet we had were very good. Staff is friendly, helpful, and efficient. Prices are very good. Will come back next time I’m in town.

Food was great, service was great and price were reasonable. Came to have brunch on a cold day made me feel warm with all the mimosas they served me and the food was very tasty.

Really great service and amazing food! I had the Bistro Benedict while my fiancé had the hanger Scramble and both were very satisfying. Would definitely recommend.

Came here after walking around the park. Looked cozy from the outside and I thought I would go in to try the coconut shrimp and a glass of wine. I was immediately turned off by an overwhelmingly strong stench of sewage or stagnant water type of smell. It bothered me to no end and I should have walked out right then. I sat at the bar and had to flag down someone to order my drink. Meanwhile it looked like people were just loitering at the door. Total turn off. Limited wine selection and crappy tasting seven falls chardonnay. Not impressed. Probably has a lot to do with the fact that earlier in the night I had a fantastic experience at Wright and co. This place is amatuerish when compared to that.

Went for brunch on a Lions game Sunday. There was a steady flow of people and we still had top notch service. Our waiter was very prompt, we had water and a request for drink order as we were taking our seats. The food arrived quickly and exactly as ordered. Portions were excellent. Not over sized and not skimped on either. I ordered the bacon, peanut butter, banana pancakes… And WOW were they good. Nothing was too overboard on them. A perfect blend of peanut butter mousse, banana slices, bacon and chocolate syrup drizzle. All on a pancake! How can you go wrong?! The manager came by to check on us and make sure everything Was to taste and that everything was going smoothly. It was nice to see that management actually cared and had some input. Will definitely be returning!

Have enjoyed this spot several more times. Everyone is always very accommodating and friendly from wait staff to management. The food is always quite good. Music on the weekends and always something happened in Campus Martius.

A pretty standard restaurant with overpriced food due to its superior location at Campus Martius. However, it keeps me coming back. Who wouldn’t love sitting outside in an urban park, overlooking a «beach» and people watching? Plus, the food and drinks have always been good enough. In summary, go here when the weather is nice for the outdoor seating and happy hour(M-F, 4 – 7). Also, make sure to ask for that HH menu… it wasn’t offered to me last time. Did I mention the service is spotty?

This is a great patio sit and recently remodeled to accommodate more seating both inside and out. My preference is to enjoy the patio, the people, and the pulse of downtown during lunch. I stick to the seared salmon and get the sauce on the side just to look at. I recommend this place highly for lunch meetings — especially with clients and associates not normally in downtown during the day in the summer. Enjoy!

This review is based on brunch dining. Myself and three others dined here for a Sunday brunch during a busy time in Detroit(The Movement was going on and a day Tiger’s game). I put our names in and the host way over quoted time, she told me about a 45 minute wait. My suggestion, if this happens to you, is to stay close by. We walked away for a minute and I noticed when we came back she had crossed off my name on the waiting list. The wait ended up only being 10 – 15 minutes until we were seated. We sat outside on the patio, which fun fact is a Dog-friendly patio. This is a great brunch spot. They offer $ 10 bottomless mimosas, although they aren’t strong, they are generous with filling them up, even before you take the last sip. I had ordered the Frittata special which I think they should really consider putting on their everyday menu. It was a large scrambled-egg like pie with bacon, onion, ham and green pepper pieces topped with a Verde pico salsa and fresh avocado and a side of house potatoes. To die for. My fellow diners had the eggs Benedict, the frittata special and the turkey sandwich. All which were enjoyed thoroughly. Portion sizes are large and in charge. My friend’s sandwich was huge. They did not hold back on the turkey. My frittata was un-finish-able even though it was delish! Prices are also not bad. Be prepared to pay anywhere from $ 11-$ 15 for an average dish. Obviously these prices are more expensive than your run-of-the-mill coney island breakfast, but these are not your run-of-the-mill dishes or tastes. By far it is worth it! The patio view looking out at Campus Martius is great and great for people watching while you sit back and wait for your entrée.

Service, food, location, ambiance all a solid four stars. Noticed some bad reviews regarding service. My wife and I went around 5.00pm for an early dinner so it was quiet, however I will say that the main course took a while to come out. Not a big deal for us since we had plenty of time but i could see how this would be a problem when it is busy. Overall Server was attentive, its a nice place to be and the food food was very good.

I went to Fountain Bistro for brunch after running the Corktown 5K. I ordered a bacon omelette with pickled peppers, onion and irish cheddar. It was great! The potatoes and fruit were excellent as well. It was a little bit busy, but we got a table when we walked in. We were casually dressed from the race, but I’d say normally it a slightly less than casual restaurant. I’d love to sit outside in the warmer weather :)

We placed our name down for an hour wait at the Hudson and decided to walk around. We happened on this place and thought«brunch is brunch why not try this place.» Boy were we wrong. We were seated pretty quickly so we thought«Ha Hudson and your one hour wait.» We waited for wait seemed like 15 minutes before anyone came over to introduce themselves. She said shes in training. Where is your trainer?! We asked if they had hot chocolate and she doesn’t know. –_– We ordered and then was given our hot chocolate. It was tongue burning hot. Had to wait like 10 minutes to drink it. We waited another 25 minutes for our food. Like with this wait time we could be eating at the Hudson already. When we were fed up our food finally showed up. My friend’s pancakes were pretty good but my breakfast salad was sad. The side of potato hash was pretty decent but doesn’t make up for the long wait and horrible service. We left and 30 minutes later realized we left our keys there. We called and the lady said it wasn’t there. We walked all the way back to find it sitting on the chair. Obviously she didn’t look. Thanks for not doing your job. WEARENOTCOMINGBACK! Edit: When we were checking out, my friend asked the waitress if we could get a discount considering how long we waited. They were kind enough to give us 30% off our bill.

Had the wild mushroom omelet, which was perfect. Wish we would have known about the 10 dollar bottomless mimosas before breakfast. My only complaint was the hot sauce and how it was brought to the table(empty bottle). Great view of downtown.

A little bistro spot located perfectly in the middle of the Detroit universe. Where one can get a nice drink and an appetizer or food while soaking in the scenic Campus Martius fountain. It’s a perfect base camp for all the nocturnal activity here in Downtown Detroit. This bistro is wonderful not just because of the impeccable setting, but because of everything else that comes with this spot. We were here one night and had a round of beers and took their duck wings for a spin… All I could say about the wings is that it’s probably gonna be my go to bar menu item. It’s amazing in so many levels. I would probably never get tired of it. Don’t like duck? There’s a coney island two blocks down from here. You can bet they serve chicken fingers and potato sticks there. Ok, let’s list the obvious, these guys are clearly running a business here. The toilets are not for public use as specified by a sign which is clearly legible for you to READ. Unless you’re illiterate, then we truly forgive you. Then there’s the fact that there’s the fountain, which does make noise. DUH! If you don’t like hearing it, make the CHOICE of sitting inside where it is a lot QUIETER. Life is short, live it everyday like the glass is half full. Weeeeeeee! Follow me on instagram @rodtorres3
