Does what a hotel bar is supposed to do, at least for me, and that is to provide pre and post game drinks. $ 4 for a bottle of Heineken.

I’ve walked by this place a few times, and finally decided to go in. It was a pleasant break from sitting in my car during rush hour/game day traffic. I only had some drinks, and didn’t bother eating, but I liked the atmosphere. The next time I hit the jackpot at Greektown, I’m blowing it all at this place.

Not a very good experience. We stopped in because we had a coupon to use, and the meal was very mediocre, the drinks so, so. The best item we had were the Sliders as an appetizer! The calamari was not so good. My steak was ok, a bit overdone. The salad had some wilted greens that should have been removed in the kitchen. The wait staff, was friendly, but clearly very inexperienced. The décor was not very attractive. Overall quite disappointing, especially the prices. If I had to compare it to anything, I think the food(style) was like an Applebee’s, but not as good. The prices a little bit more than Applebee’s Not what I expect in a Downtown area near the entertainment district.

The Chrome Grille is located inside the Hilton Garden Inn. My co-worker & I stopped in here one day for a quick lunch on a game day. The place was totally empty. That was good for us because we only have an hour, but we wondered — WHY is this place SO empty? The chef and the bartender/server were chillin & chatting it up when we walked in. The interior is nice. It gives that«hotel bar» vibe and I guess would be a nice spot for a high priced cocktail one evening, if I were an out of town guest staying there. So we figured out why the place was empty. The prices were SKY high. These downtown businesses would do SO much better if they catered to their working crowd and offered lunch menus(quick and inexpensive). We each paid $ 9-$ 10 for a lunchtime sandwich and fries. Plus $ 2 for a soft drink. Add tax & tip and we ended up paying $ 14-$ 15 for a lunch in the middle of the week. The food was good. The service was good(being the only ones in there).
