Just had my first meal in the USA in the last 2 weeks and was craving Bucharest… it did not disappoint… I have been to the original location and my meal tonight was just as good. I got the chicken schwarma and the tabbouleh salad; both were excellent. Quick and friendly service. So stoked this place is just a block away from my loft!

Now get home spent $ 16 for the wrong order… called up there to be kept on hold by «Erica», came bake and said «Sarrok» Mgr said i wont have to pay for my next order…

This location is very accessible… There is plenty of parking and the staff is fast. I have been here three times so far. I went the first day they were open. The service was great but the chicken shawarma did not taste good. It was overcooked and dry. I gave them a second try and the food tasted better. I went tonight and the chicken shawarma was perfect!!! It tasted just like the food at the original location on Park Street. I can definitely see the improvement. This is is a great asset to the Midtown area.

Avoid this location at all costs … past 2 visits (two too many) have not been pleasant at all. The last time myself and a co-​worker grabbed shawarmas from here, her beef one was ABSOLUTELY cold, as if it had been sitting there for hours, and my chicken one was severely overcooked. The curly fries I received were also undercooked. I’ll stick to the location on Michigan Ave!

«Bucharest, Bucharest, Bucharest, oh how I LOVE you!!!» This place is «PHENOMENAL!» Food is just as good as their original location on Park St. They done an «AWESOME» job on the renovation of the old building! It looks «GREAT!» Bucharest, if you read this «PLEASE» bring a location Downriver? I know this sounds DESPERATE, but we NEED you!!!

If you want your order fucked up, order from this Bucharest for delivery (DMC). Ordered five sandwiches, two came. Then they accused me of lying about it. Fuck you Bucharest. Ordered three salads, only two dressings came. When you call and request your missing food they try to convince you stuff is in a bag that it wasn’t. I love being bullshitted for 10 minutes about missing food and then you deliver it anyway.

I visited on opening night. Ample parking. Not too busy. Great staff. The quick service allowed me to be in and out in maybe ten minutes.
I got home and discovered that shawarma was very salty, causing me to throw more than half of it away. I was disappointed. I mentioned it on their Facebook page. Someone quickly responded to understand the issue better. Complete resolution was given in less than 24 hours.
That type of response is rare, but truly appreciated.

SO happy this place opened up on Piquette! It’s down the street from me so no more going through the hassle downtown. The place was really nice and clean, and bigger than I expected. Food is great as always. Happy eating! :)

This is one of these places you MUST go to as a part of your Detroit experience.
This is not an upscale place and i suggest that you order take out as this grill is always very busy.
Prices are very low and the food is delectable, high quality and in monstrous sizes.
I’m very picky and they never disappointed.
Their salads are usually $ 5 – 9 and have enough fresh veggies and meat that I feed a party of 3 with it.
Let’s not forget that on top of all they keep their flavor quality remarkable. Never had a dish that was too salty or under-​seasoned there.
