44 Burrito

I’m not usually big on Mexican food, but my boyfriend wanted to stop for food on our way home one day and I loved it. I had a the tacos and they were delicious. He had a deep fried burrito and I ate almost half of his (not to his liking) and I’m coming back to get more. The staff seems really personable and I feel like it’s a more at home kind of place where you get to know the people. I’ve eaten at Taqueria el Rey a few times which I consider good Mexican food and honestly I think this place is comparable if not better.

Wow holy crap that was terrible!
It took 25 minutes for a small order to be ready despite only two people ahead of me that already ordered.
My «authentic» Mexican tacos were filled with not even a teaspoon of dry rubbery lukewarm filling. They were a total joke. My burrito was better but nothing to write home about. The corn chips were massively stale. One was so bad it didn’t even break when bit into I had to tear off a piece like corn flavored fruit roll up.
Why can’t we get decent Mexican outside of SW Detroit?
*update* 44B you can not address negative reviews by posting a 5 star review of your own business. The fact that you tried that and went after another reviewer pretty much seals the deal that I want no further interaction with you or your business. Basic common sense applied here would have saved you from generating even more negative attention towards your business.

The food is amazing! Plus the service is fast & friendly. You must check out this place if you are in the area or passing by!

Awesome food, friendly people and close to my house. I will definitely be coming back. I tried the fried burrito not knowing what to expect and it was amazing. If you love Tex-​Mex you should definitely check this place out
