After reading the great reviews I was really excited to go here. This is the first vacation for my boyfriend and I and this was our date night. We made a reservation to sit outside. The valet and hostess were very nice. We sat down on the back deck and we started to wait. And wait. And wait. I saw a waitress giving excellent service to the table behind us. She refilled their wine and chatted with them. She brought them bread and then eventually took their order. Another couple came and sat near us. The waitress got with them almost right away, not even glancing our way. After a half an hour my boyfriend went and asked the hostess what was going on. She came by a few minutes later and got our drink order. We finally received our drinks by our actual waitress 40 minutes after we arrived. There was no apology by her at any point. The food was decent and well presented but it was not worth the terrible service we received. I slowly watched the other tables get roses for the ladies as the bills came. Nothing like this was brought to our table. I’ve never felt more disrespected at a restaurant. I’m a polite patron, I love food quite a bit and love going out to experience places. I do this a lot. The start of our evening ruined the rest for me. I wish I had just left.

Wow. I’ve been coming to Destin for vacation my whole life and this is absolutely the best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at in the area. The ambiance, view, food, roses after dinner… it’s just amazing. Even the Tuscan bread before the meal was delicious! I had the French split chicken which had the most spectacular goat cheese brûlée on top. My husband had the grouper dish and the saffron rice under it was as good as the fish! We’ve said we’ll eat here at least two nights from now on when we visit. The price isn’t even extravagant, but I’d pay more for that delicious meal if I had to. SOGOOD!

My husband and I were celebrating our thirteenth wedding anniversary and we’re looking for a special place to celebrate. I found Beach Walk on Unilocal. We went on a whim. Didn’t have reservations but they made an exception for us. The eggplant appetizer was scrumptious and the wheat bread dipped in the brown butter sauce from the appetizer was heaven. As a true Southern women I can be exceptionally harsh and have high expectations when it comes to Southern cuisine. The Beach Walk did not disappoint, as a matter of fact it exceeded my expectations. I had the lamb special with asparagus. It melted in my mouth! My husband had the shrimp and grits. The sauce was yummy and so were the shrimp but the sausage was not the same quality. He also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts and they were delicious. Service was on point as well. It was a wonderful evening! Thanks!

Disappointed this visit. Had been told we had a reservation for outside under the veranda. When we arrived our spot was not available so they put us on the big open deck. Very windy, felt like we were at an outdoor bar deck. We asked to go inside and were seated. We were able to see 3 tables open on the veranda. Waited and waited for service. Disappointed.

We have had a reservation for over 3 weeks and get there only to be seated in a different area than we had been assured we would have the area we requested. They put us in area we would had if we had not had a reservation. Experience a year ago was fine other than they parked our car in a mud puddle. This time I parked my own car and the parking lot attendant wanted to threaten me with tickets. Very rude experience, we left and having dinner elsewhere.

We dined on the patio! Couldn’t beat the beach view, our waitress was very knowledgeable, the food was delicious, portions small and a little old-schoo!l

The view is amazing. The food is excellent but a touch spendy. If you are looking for an upscale dining experience in Destin this is a great choice.

This place is a real gem. We had a party of four and they were right on time with our reservation. The maitre d and wait staff are real professionals. You feel like your in the Hamptons or Martha’s Vineyard. Simple but elegant menu. They don’t try to trick you up with too much fru fru. I had the cap steak of the ribeye. Tender, perfectly cooked and delicious. The banana cream pie was obscenely large and pushed Emeril’s to second place. Definitely its a place to bring your wife or date. Generous cocktails and good wine list. If you are in the Destin area, don’t miss this place. Also it is one of the few places where people actually dress nice.

Seated at a table for two overlooking the beach, we admired the rustic, cozy dining room and the view. Located in the Henderson Park Inn B&B, I can see why voters on Trip Advisor rated this place #1 for dining in Destin. Our waiter presented an amuse bouche — a grouper fritter — as we enjoyed the excellent table bread with a parmesan, herb, olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip. For appetizers, we had the chopped salad and the kung pao shrimp. The shrimp were huge and they were lightly fried. The sauce was sweet and tasty but overly salty. When our waiter mentioned that the red snapper special and the lobster entrée were the two best seafood offerings, I decided to choose the lobster tails. They were excellent and beautifully presented, along with an edible orchid! The meat was so flavorful and plentiful. I substituted the asparagus for brussel sprouts, which were very well-seasoned. The balsamic glaze on the plate served as a nice accompanying sauce for the veggies. The saffron rice worked well with this dish but oversalting was an issue with this as well. I also tasted the pork chop and the andouille-cheddar mac and cheese. Both sounded better than they actually tasted. The chop was nicely grilled and the bourbon and bacon barbecue sauce was had a bold flavor, but the actual meat did not taste seasoned at all. Similarly, the flavors in the mac and cheese could’ve been better developed. Dessert for us included the«chocolate of the day» which was chocolate butterscotch mousse pie and the«cheesecake of the day» which was peanut butter cookie dough. Both slices were massive and very rich. We really enjoyed them. Service was very attentive from start to finish and prices were reasonable for the atmosphere and for the quality of the food. It was a great place to enjoy my birthday dinner. The rose at the end of the evening was a nice touch.

Out of this world. Beach Walk Café is adorable. Views of the beach are spectacular, and I cannot recommend this spot highly enough. Our party dined here on a weekday night, and reservations are necessary. It is a small café with seating indoors and out. Views of the beach are lovely, but we dined inside and I found the décor-wooden floors, pretty chandeliers, and tables with crisp white linens and a simple orchid– pretty. We received excellent service and enjoyed wine. Complimentary bread accompanies the meal and is LEGIT. So soft and warm and crusty– all that bread should be. The dipping sauce is Parmesan cheese, olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, and balsamic vinegar. I loved this combination, though, some in our party noted that they could do without the balsamic. They are wrong, but perhaps consider holding it if you are not a fan. Grouper Vince was my choice, and I won. To be fair, everyone raved about their meal choices, but I loved this dish. It is a LARGE portion, and it could be shared. I did not share. Again, it was amazing:). I did not add a topping(or «accompaniment») as this dish is really flavorful without. Desserts were shared, and the chocolate lava cake was exceptional. We also shared the key lime pie, and it was tasty as well. Ladies are gifted with a rose at the end of the meal, and it is a nice gesture to conclude a truly glorious meal.

Wonderful place for a romantic evening. Terrific service. Our waiter, Lance, had the best timing. Highly recommend the smoked tomatoe soup and the crab covered eggplant as appetizers. My wife had the Mahi Mahi and I had the filet with a lobster tail. It was all pretty terrific and I can’t wait to go back next year!

What a FANTASTIC place to have a romantic dinner! It is quaint and beautiful without being stuffy and obnoxious. Food is WONDERFUL! Service was amazing. My husband got the Ribeye Cap and said it was perfect!(He is a steak snob too! Lol) It came with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies that he said were done«just right». I got the fresh catch which was Halibut. It was also amazing! It came with saffron rice and spinach that was cooked with bacon. PERFECT! Halibut wasn’t tough or rubbery at all! We finished off with the banana cheesecake that was on a chocolate crust and OHMYGOODNESS!!! It couldn’t have been a more perfect evening out with my love. Beautiful setting and wonderful surroundings. We will certainly be going back!

This was our first time here, even though we have been vacationing in Destin for 30 years. How was that possible? They win the trifecta: food, service and location. This place is idyllically hidden in plain view on Scenic Hwy 98 beachside adjoining Henderson Park. Our server was Lindsay who was excellent. We shared the crab topped eggplant appetizer and we highly recommend this signature dish. I had the grouper vince and my wife had the lobster entrée. Both were out of this world and reasonably priced. We also shared a bottle of wine. Their wine list is not outstanding but has something for all tastes and food pairings. Then to top it off we shared a piece of banana crème pie. It was big enough to share with the entire room but we found a way to finish it ourselves. This restaurant is the real deal and should be ranked #1 for the entire Florida panhandle(if not the nation).

This place get’s 5 stars from this Oregonian. This was our first visit to Destin, and I wanted to find a place that would offer a dining experience that we can’t find here at home. With the help of Unilocal,I was able to come across BWC. BWC is located on the east part of town, right on the beach. This place is very nice. It has a classy/upscale feel to it, candles, low lights, and garden lights on the back deck. We opted to eat outside and listen to the waves crash on the beach. When we arrived, we had to wait for our table to be set up. No problem with that. They offered to get us a few cocktails while we waited. My wife ordered a Cosmopolitan, and I asked for a Manhattan. Truth be told??? The drinks were horrible haha… don’t get it twisted, I love a stiff drink, I often drink my liquor straight, but a Manhattan is a cocktail and should taste as such. Same story with the Cosmo, tasted like straight liquor and not much craft to it. But that’s OK! That’s when we switched to wine. Our waiter was very friendly, a nice gentleman. I think our server was having a rough day though. Whereas he did a great job of taking care of us, he seemed a little flustered. I think he was actually trying to make the drinks at the bar and serve the tables also, so I’m not deducting any stars for having that type of stress to handle. Our food was good! I went with the Seafood Pasta«Rockefeller» the dish included: Cavatappi pasta, jumbo shrimp and scallops, pancetta, spinach, sundried tomatoes, in a rich Pernod cream sauce with shaved parmesan. This was a VERY rich dish, but that’s how I enjoy my pasta dishes! The seafood was great as well, all tasted fresh and well prepared. At the end of the night, the server gifted my wife a red rose. It was a nice touch to a great evening. Once all was said and done, we took the rose and our glasses of wine down to their fire pit. We enjoyed each others company, sipped our wine, enjoyed the soft light and heat of the fire, and looked at the Henderson Park Inn as it was all lit up. It was very expensive, but it was very romantic and well worth every $ spent. My wife said it was like something from a movie. Something she would’ve seen on one of her TV shows that she watches. That tells me I fulfilled a fantasy type dinner that she could only dream of. mission accomplished.

We had an excellent meal here. The menu offers true gourmet food, and the service is extremely professional and friendly. There are some excellent choices on the wine list, and very reasonable prices. And you can’t beat the view, overlooking the ocean.

Fantastic! From the valet to the host to the server, our dining experience at the Beachwalk Café was absolutely awesome! I enjoy dining at fine dining restaurants on special occasions and had wanted to take my wife here for several years. For our third anniversary we finally visited this place. Normally I find the food at restaurants like this to be enjoyable but not over the top. Seriously: the food at Beachwalk was simply the best of any fine dining restaurant I have ever been to. The presentation was awesome, the flavors were amazing and I felt like I received a great value for the money I spent. Ya gotta try this place! Make sure to ask for outside seating and watch the sun go down. It doesn’t get any better.

Very nice dinner location. We were coming in a little late and they could accommodate us which was nice. The service was very good and on point. A nice level of service where we had everything we need without the server hovering. The food was also fantastic. The Kung Pao shrimp were very tasty. I opted for the grouper special with the seafood risotto. This was done very well but the fish portion on the special was about half the size of the normal portion, I guess do to the risotto. I would say the only two draw backs were that the champagne we ordered was not pre-chilled. We had to wait about 10 minutes for it to cool in the ice. And secondly, Kung Pao shrimp seemed(not saying they did) had been under a heat lamp for a little to long; they had lost some inter-heat and crispness. All being said this was a great meal. And in all honesty this place is not much more expensive than the other seafood restaurants in the area with much nice ambiance, but with a much small indoor dining area(which we appreciated).

We were really excited to dine here. I researched all day and decided on this establishment. When I called for a reservation, I was informed that they do not allow children. I was disappointed, but would have been okay with it if the woman who answered the phone had politely told me that children under 13 were not allowed. We were visiting from out of town(out of state), but in the process of moving to the area(we now live here). I asked for a reservation for 3 adults and one child. I was informed that children were not allowed. I was disappointed, but would have been okay with it if she would have politely informed me of their policy. A simple,“I am so sorry, we do not allow for children under the age of 13″ would have been acceptable. Instead, I received, what I felt like was a brash and irritated remark, «Ma’am, we do not allow children». I later check their website, and it does state their«no children under 13 policy», but it took me quite a bit of time and digging around to find it.

Best dining in destin in my opinion. First off the location and atmosphere is unbeatable. It’s a very intimate setting. If your going I strongly suggest getting a table outside. Although in a busy area you seem secluded, prefect spot for a romantic dinner. There is also the option for a private one table dinner on the beach. The food itself is outstanding, the kitchen seems to be very talented. We ordered a crab and eggplant appetizer with a lobster cream sauce, very rich and decadent. For an entrée we orderd the venison rouladen special and the raw tuna. The venison was very good like a fine steak, not gamy at all. It was stuffed with mushrooms which made it very savory, was seasoned well. The tuna was prepared perfect with a very light sear. It was flavorful, fresh and light, everything I look for in a tuna dish such as this. All in all one of the best dinning experiences I have encountered. The price is rather high but considering the atmosphere view and quality of food it is justified.

Impeccable service, marvelous entrees and a ten all around! Our party was for 8 and we were greeted promptly. The atmosphere was cozy, intimate and well decorated. I ordered the Venison and it was the best I’ve had in years. Others in the group order the Ribeye, Panko crusted Ahi, Seafood Pasta along with the Shrimp and Grits. Absolutely impressed with all the dishes not to mention the dessert choices of Banana Cream Pie, Flourless Cake and Crème Brûlée.
