I only come for the awesome happy hour & low priced apps that fill me up! $ 5 burger & fries or $ 5 fish tacos are my favorites.

Carol, Carol, Carol!!! Find her and slap her a high five, give her a hug, just start applauding as she walks in your direction. My wife and I got married at this location and she and her AMAZING staff were for a lack of better words, OUTSTANDING! There was never a empty glass, they kept asking what else they could do for us. The chefs came out as soon as the incredible food did to ensure that everyone’s meal was to their liking! Honestly, it was one of the best decisions we could have made. Great service, great food, great time!!!

My prior visit was much more enjoyable than this one. A group of us came in for Happy Hour and it just didn’t seem like the Bartender, Mike, was too happy to see us. We were met with smart alec remarks and sideways comments. Then, they tried to force us to have 1 group bill without asking and then it took forever for 3 of us to get our bill as we were given excuses as if the place has never had to do separate checks for a group. Uuummmmm, really! I’m over this place.

Nice restaurant. Oyster special on Wednesday was fantastic idea to bring people out to eat. Very reasonable & affordable price. Service was good.

The calamari is amazing! Our server was very knowledgable about the menu and answered all of our questions! I had the blackened mako shark and it was delicious, my date enjoyed his mahi as well ! I will definitely go back! The setting is also pretty romantic also some of the booths have a sort of private curtain setting!

Overpriced and so-so food. We went there this past Tuesday and it was not busy at all. First impression was not great… had to wait for a while for someone to greet us and get us a table. The food were cold… mashed potatoes, green beans and the Bouillabaisse. The salmon and the shrimps were under-seasoned. Service was very slow and the waiter was extremely inattentive. The waiter rather spend time at the hostess stand or talk to the bus-boy Contacted M&S via contact us and no reply. It shows that the management and Landry does not really care about the customer satisfaction at all. I had good experiences with other M&S in other states, I will never go back to the one in West County Mall in Des Peres.

I had my first experience here today for happy hour and it was fantastic! $ 4 well drinks and a large variety of huge appetizers ranging between $ 3 and $ 9! It’s amazing! The calamari, bruschetta, and burger and fries are all great and very large portions! The service was excellent! M&S is definitely a great place for happy hour! In the words of Liz Lemon, «go to there!»

Worst service and the restaurant was not busy. The food is terrible and is so overpriced for the caliber of food they serve. Shortly after they opened visited for a happy hour and they had strange rules about outside seating. These people don’t have a clue how to run a restaurant! Probably won’t last long here in West County.

Great steaks, fresh fish and dessert. I love their halibut and swordfish steak. It’s pricier so my husband prefers Ruth’s Chris if we’re going to spend the money. However I like to swing by here for a nice meal for a change. Also, every now and then it’s worth it to stop by just for dessert. You can’t go wrong with their chocolate bag. Chocolate + moose + fruit = happy taste buds! They have a nice bar. You can eat it there or take it to go. This is also a great place for large groups.

Visited about a week ago and was truly underwhelmed. I’ve been a few times before but this time was likely my last. My husbands steak was not cooked properly, sent back and came back right but he was not that happy with the cut of meat. I ordered the ultimate mixed grill which I was really looking forward to. The scallops were just slightly undercooked but well seasoned. The stuffed shrimp were tasty but almost cold and the salmon should have been grilled but seemed poached. By the far worst of the meal. The restaurant was not full by far but we were neglected by our server, I had to ask for two things twice. Though he was friendly, just not attentive to us. For the amount we spent including the meals of kids ate, I expected more. On a positive note, the calamari was good,

This place was ok. Not ok enough for the price. The shrimp and fish tacos were ok. Lobster tail was a good size… the biggest negative for me was steak… I’m a huge steak guy and this steak had no flavor at all. If I’m going to pay the price I did I expect an good steak.

Had lunch at the Des Peres location today with 3 other people. I ordered the lobster bisque. For $ 13.99 I expected a delicious bowl of bisque with lots of lobster. I got a bowl of bisque that was so over salted I could hardly eat it and the lobster was skimpy because they mixed croutons in with the lobster! Very disappointed. The walnut bleu cheese salad was ok but I think they used goat cheese instead of bleu cheese because it tasted like goat cheese and had no coloring, just white chunks. The bread was stale. Won’t be back.

Sub par seafood. This was very disapointing. I have eaten at McCormick and schmicks in other states and was surprised at the sub par quality food that was served here.

We went here to celebrate our Valentine. My husband order lump crab tower, shrimp kisses, lobster bisque, a bowl of clam chowder, and stuffed flounder. Lump crab tower is kind of too fishy for me. And in my opinion, Clam chowder is away better than the lobster bisque in my opinion because the lobster bisque was too creamy & heavy. Service was good. Thank you.

I went for a group dinner in a private room. The salad was good, but we had no dressing choice. Entrée choices were fish, steak or chicken. I chose steak. Sides were pre-selected: mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was fine. My steak was cooked properly to my liking, not an easy feat when serving a group. The mashed potatoes were fine — nothing extraordinary. The green beans weren’t seasoned at all, but were cooked well and retained some crispness. The servers were friendly, accommodating and refilled beverages, but not all that quickly. Everybody at my table was using salt and pepper on everything. I took half of my meal home, so I had a fancy lunch for the next day. I know this place is expensive, although I did not pay for this meal — and for that, I’m glad.

First time trying this chain and I was pleasantly surprised! I am definitely a fan! The overall impression that this restaurant gives off is that its patrons are older(late 30s and higher). Wood paneling everywhere, old fashion nautical décor, and very good hospitality. The food is delicious. For lunch, My husband and I scarfed down the mussel appetizer and as well as the deep fried calamari with the awesome lemon aioli sauce. Free bread that melts in your mouth. TIP: use the bread to dunk in the red mussel sauce. They also have different portion sizes for appetizers which helps if you are a party of 2 or a party of 8. I ordered the salmon with orzo pasta while my husband ordered the fettuccine with blacken chicken in a red cajun sauce. Both were tasty, but I commandeered my husband’s dish after I tasted it. My favorite! The salmon was cooked perfectly, but the orzo was overcooked. Great service! No complaints there! Prices for dinner are on the higher end(20+). If you aren’t rolling in dough, go during lunch or happy hour to try their fabulous food.

Wow, I was expecting the Mitchell’s of seafood restaurants and I got Long John Silver’s. Okay, maybe not quite that bad, but the service was sub par and I can say with 100% certainty that I could’ve prepared my meal better. After a short shopping trip at West County, Matthew and I decided on McCormick’s for dinner. I had heard good things about the place and figured it was worth a shot. We walked inside and I instantaneously felt snubbed. It wasn’t on a verbal level as much as it was the staff’s condescending«I’m looking down my nose at you» expression. We got the same vibe from the bar tender as well. Since they were apparently«booked all night»(I saw plenty of open seating during the hour we were there), we were told to find seating at the bar. We weren’t exactly attended to promptly and every time I gestured for the bar tender, it almost felt as though it was a nuisance for him to assist us. When we got our food, neither one of us were impressed. Give the ambiance of the establishment and they way we were treated(I wasn’t sure if it was that we were CLEARLY the youngest people there [no money] or that we weren’t wearing any designer apparel…), I at least had high hopes for the quality and presentation of our entrees, but to no avail. Just another typical chain. I definitely won’t be back.

I was shopping with a friend at West County Mall today, and we decided to come here for happy hour. Being that it was nice outside, we opted to sit on the patio. I was glad they didn’t have the rule of happy hour prices only at the bar area, as some other places do. Their patio is a decent size, and although it is located at one of the main entrances to the mall, they have plenty of tall plants for added privacy. I decided on mojitos for the evening, which were priced at $ 6 during happy hour. Mojitos are always a nice refreshing summer drink and these did not disappoint. My friend had the lemon drop martinis($ 7). We split a few of the menu items for an early dinner. They offer about three items each in different price points, ranging from $ 3 — $ 6. We decided on the chicken sliders, chicken quesadillas, sweet potato fries, and blue cheese chips. Though they were smaller portions, this was plenty for the two of us… it was the perfect amount for a two meals. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.
