Don’t waste your time and money! Service was awful, food was even worse. Fries were soggy and the tenders were very bland. We went on a slow night(nuggets preseason) so their grill was closed and all they had were apps and fried food. Serve was very unprofessional and was rude. I can understand if they are busy but she had only 2 tables. Never again.

Drinks are strong, but they botched my order and the chicken was overcooked. Doesn’t seem like a place that functions well with big busy crowds.(Pre concert at Pepsi Center)

We drank here with a few friends. The atmosphere is okay. It got really crowded after the Avs game. Our bartender was spunky and had some attitude(in a good way that I can appreciate), but she was clearly overwhelmed, so service was a bit slow.

By far the worse. Don’t come here after a game. Place sucks. I game here after the Avs game and requested food right when the drinks arrive. The server said she would be right back after she dropped off some drinks… tic toc… She never came back after 23 minutes. …nor did the bill. I left. No tab. No server. I left 5 dollars but I bet the biz never saw that five.

We’ve started coming to The Trunk prior to Mammoth games as there are always seats available, they have good drink prices(except shots as they are $ 8), and the food is delicious. I’ve had the brisket sliders and brisket sandwich and both are super good. The meat is really tender and the coleslaw is perfect. Their french fries are heaven as well. Service is always quick and friendly and they know that you need to be in and out quickly.

A very busy sports bar! A fun place to grab a beer and watch the game. The food was ok. I had an ok burger nothing great about it. I would go elsewhere for food. I can say the Pink drink special was strong. It was a drink special they had for the concert– Pink. They make good cocktails here. It’s walking distance to the Pepsi center so it’s a good place to grab a drink before or after a concert at the Pepsi Center.

Pretty less than average place that advertises post Pepsi Center specials to get you in then says nothing is on special. Go to another bar to wait out the traffic.

Great place, nice and big, and not too crowded. Food prices are a bit steep(but the food is really good)! FAST service, and $ 2 post-game beers!

SUPERB time, service, food, ambiance, priced great, nice staff, appreciated our business(unlike Brooklyn’s next door), fun customers, chatty and relaxed. Great place to prep for AVS or Broncos! THANKYOU!

This is a sports bar right outside of the Pepsi Center, extremely convenient before sporting events. They offer a basic menu; pizza, burgers, share-able appetizers, and salads. The restaurant is obviously designed to be able to get customers in and out quickly and on to the game, my friends and I received efficient and friendly service. The place is under new management this year, run by the same people who run Brooklyn’s next door. $ 2 post game beer specials!!! Plus we got a discount for having basketball season tickets. We’ll be back!

Oh how I wish I had checked Unilocal before coming here! i would not come back here for any reason, nor would i recommend it to anybody. unless i really despise that person. Came here before an Avs game b/c Brooklyn’s was packed. We thought we were really fortunate when the hostess said, «open seating downstairs.» and my friend even commented, «weird that this place is so open while Brooklyn’s is packed, and they’re probably the exact same.» wrong. we found an open booth right away, and that was pretty much the pinnacle of our experience at Tailgate. it was all downhill from there, and not in the way that implies everything got easier and more pleasant. i don’t want to spend too much time on this review, so: slowest service i’ve ever received. never once did the server come to our table without me having to go wander through the restaurant to find her. limited menu, food came out slow and kind of cold, and portion sizes did not impress me. we finally went to the bar to get our drinks b/c the server never came by to take our drinks order. when i found the server to try to order food, she told me, «the kitchen is running about 30 or 40 minutes delayed right now.» when we decided we couldn’t wait that long, she walked away shaking her head as if we were being unreasonable after being SO rude as to get her attention. not good prices. $ 14 for a pitcher of domestic beer. when we finally got the check, the server said, «here’s the bill so you guys can pay and get out of here.» i don’t know if she meant for it to sound rude, or if she meant it like she was doing us a favor. we left, frustrated and annoyed. in short, i can’t imagine this place gets much return business. i will never come back, and would not recommend this place to anybody else, either.

Must say — not bad! Went for a quick meal prior to an Av’s game & our large group was seated quickly. We had a sweet and sassy server who was great. Ordered the chicken wings — super good! Lots of meat on those lil suckers. Only issue I saw was there were no drink specials aside from a $ 20 bucket of beers. Not nearly as bad as the other reviews indicate. Everyone else in the group enjoyed their food and it was a relaxed yet busy atmosphere. Parking sucks, but that is to be expected in that area.

The Tailgate offered one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. Stopped in before a Nuggets game for some bites and a beer. We tried to go to Brooklyn’s, which was packed, and now I know why. After ordering our drinks — we waited and waited and waited. After about 15 or 20 minutes, the waitress comes by and sets down a drink we did not order on our table and then tipped her tray of drinks all down the front of me. I get it, accidents happen and I know she felt upset and embarrassed. They tried to sloppily clean it up, didn’t offer to move us to a new table and the waitress said she was taking care of our bill. We would have left if we hadn’t already put our food order in. Our mediocre food took forever to come out, and in the meantime, the waitress kept dropping off random drinks at our table, ones we never ordered. It was really disappointing, especially when we were readying to leave, and the waitress dropped off our bill with all of the food on it. We didn’t want to make a fuss and honestly just wanted to get the hell out of there but she said«oh, I was just going to take care of your drinks(2 beers and an iced tea), I guess I can take off more if you want.» Which is not what she initially told us — and the fact that the manager didn’t do anything to accommodate us was the final straw. The menu is limited, the food was bleh but the service was unbelievable — in a really bad way. If you are headed to the Pepsi Center, skip this place.

The food is bad and the selection for this type of place is minimal. They don’t know how to pour Guinness. The waitress didn’t know anything about the menu, the drinks, or what specials were running. We were there to kill 3 hours between Avalanche and Mammoth games on a Saturday. Shortly after our food arrived, she brought the bill(we never asked for it). I guess she wanted us the hell out of there, so we took the rest of our money and tips to Brooklyn’s.

What happened to this place? We have been here before, when they had an official menu with custom pizzas and such. Now? Barely anything to pick from. We ordered chicken fingers and fries for the kids right away. We were on our way to a game at the Pepsi Center and getting the kids taken care of was a priority. Kids food and adult drinks came quickly. Our server was obviously NOT excited to be there. Thats fine… we can understand that happens. Our food order was a burger, wings, and pork sliders. All came but the sliders. Actually… they NEVER came. Told the server(who had a slightly improved attitude) to simply take the sliders off since we were leaving. Got the bill… with an automatic 19% gratuity. What??? Why? Because of the large(read: sarcasm) table of 6?

My husband and I went twice in one night – before the Nuggets v Thunder game and afterwards. Our experience before the game was as expected according to previous reviews. The service was slow because of peak business hours, but our waiter was so kind and did her best. The food was probably a little subpar but wasn’t too terrible. Our experience after the game was absolutely HORRIBLE. Right away, a glass of wine was spilled. When we asked the waitress for help, she threw a dirty rag on the table and said, «sorry, hope I didn’t splash you» and walked away leaving us to clean up the wine. Needless to say, the wine that got on the floor was left for us to slide our shoes around in all night. We were served our second round of drinks with our tab at approximately midnight. I asked the waitress, who was sitting down taking a break with her coworker, what time the bar closed and she said, «now.» Moments later, she picked up our tab along with our FULL glasses of drinks which we just paid for. We were appalled, but that wasn’t the end of it. Then, she propped open the door by our table to let zero degree air freeze us out of the restaurant. It was by far the WORSTEXPERIENCEEVER. There were probably 20 other diners getting kicked out and every single person was appalled. We will never go back, and I’m tempted to dispute the second round of drink charges with our credit card company. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE.

Stopped in here Saturday night before heading in to the pepsi center. Sat in the bar area, but had to walk up to the bar to order drinks and food. We ordered the nachos with chicken and they were ok. Not a lot of chicken and what was there was clumped in 2 piles. Just ok and likely not to return.

was originally looking for a better option to go to after hockey games and have found it… now we have stopped by on the way home from other places and IF they are open(that is the one bad part, the hours are random and are based on Pepsi Center events or however many ppl are in the bar… we have come to learn they are managed by the ppl who run the concession stands at the stadiums so they really don’t care if this place is open late) food is actually pretty good… we got the late night menu at The Trunk, they have a decent beer selection… some I haven’t seen other places, including one from my home town! and most importantly the bartenders are AWESOME! the crowd is never as big as some other places around the Pepsi Center(i don’t know why?!) so they have time to actually service you! i haven’t dealt with ‘too high prices’…in fact the one time they comped a round drinks when their manager said they had to close even though we were told they would be open long enough for us to eat. hidden gem of after sports drinking — but find out if they are open/when they close first

Eh. Take it or leave it. This bar did nothing for me besides realize how much they hike prices up whenever there is a game at the Pepsi Center. Service is subpar, food is mediocre and prices are redic high. Rumored to have $ 7 pitchers, i suggested to my friends and i that we head over to the Tailgate & Trunk for a few beers before the Av’s game. After ordering 2 pitchers, i was surprised to hear my total was a whopping $ 26. um??? Overall, nothing fantastic, just conveniently located near the stadium.
