Is everyone just bad at their job theses days? I walked in this afternoon and sat the bar ready for a pint and a slice. After 10 mins of NOBODY at the counter or bar, a couple of other folks sidled up to the bar. Then, I guess after their nap, the lady walks right up to them and takes their order. Infuriating. No clue about their pizza. Asleep at the switch. Won’t give this anthony’s another shot.

We were on our way to a baseball game when we stopped by this establishment for munchies. Bae ordered a slice of pepperoni and I ordered a sausage sandwich. We checked the spot on Unilocal after ordering, and noted the unusually low rating. No worries, I wasn’t picky, just hungry. Any old frozen sausage on a roll with canned sauce would satisfy. We sat and watched a waitress wander about the dining room with a plate of pasta and a slice of pizza. She couldn’t find her customer, but she wasn’t trying that hard. There was no vocalization, just an abject wander without completion. She wandered here and there without a word, and never did seem to find who she was looking for. After about twenty minutes, we started to wonder where our grub was. That was when the pretty girl who took our order came back by the table. Her eyes were glazed as she informed us that they were out of sausage. It seemed like she was used to delivering bad news, and wasn’t surprised to have taken a half hour to find out that the item was unavailable. It probably wasn’t her fault. Although I do wonder — what was the sequence of events that led to her revelation of unavailability? Did the cook spend twenty minutes looking for sausage before he gave up? As a restaurant owner and chef I could taste the distinct flavour of an establishment where no one was in charge. As we took our refund and walked out, I remarked to girlie how unusually bad the experience was. She agreed, and guessed that the owner was either trying to provide a remarkably bad experience, or was the most absent authority figure ever. The key word here is remarkable — I’ve never written a bad Unilocal review before, but I do hope to save another innocent victim from wasting a half hour of their life waiting to hear that their order is not in fact forthcoming. As for the food quality — of course I wouldn’t know, but I imagine if the kitchen is run in the same fashion as the dining room then you would be lucky to survive the experience of consuming. On a positive note, we wandered over to Ian’s pizza and had a delicious slice after all.

Anthony’s Pizza is delicious, but the management and delivery service is unreliable and unprofessional. We have had two poor experiences in the last couple months. In the first instance, we ordered delivery to our corporate office and were told by the receptionist that the delivery man left in a tizzy after waiting approximately 2 minutes for us to come downstairs to get the pizza from him. He later returned and was very upset, didn’t speak to us when he dropped off the pizza. The person we talked to on the phone was very apologetic. We tried to give them a second chance today and again had a bad experience. We placed our order two days in advance. This morning we received a phone call that our order would be late due to the weather. It is raining and our office is two blocks from Anthony’s LoDo. They called back again because their computer shut down and they needed our credit card information again to run the order. It is currently an hour and fifteen minutes since the pizza should have been here and it is still not here. The manager laughed at our personnel when she said it was unacceptable service. Needless to say, we will not be ordering from Anthony’s again.

Ordered a pizza for delivery. Then a Weird question… When would you like that delivered? Maybe there’s a new way of ordering pizza. I said when it’s done. An hour later I called. Oh there was a mistake, order never placed. Apologized and said it would be out in 20 minutes. Another 40 – 50 minutes nothing. Tyler. You may need to reconsider Jeremy! You just lost some loyal customers.

Stopped in today for a slice and a beer. I thought it was weird in such a busy area that there was no one in the place… now I know why. Ordered a slice at the counter and told the girl I wanted a beer too so she said she’d take the order. Then she told me someone would be over to pour my beer. 10 minutes later when the kid brought out my slice I asked him if someone could get me the beer I already pis for. He said they didn’t have a bartender(there’s a full bar) and to ask the girl at the pizza counter. I told him I already did and paid for it so he poured me a beer. A little while later a bartender showed up and cleared my tray. Then a manager came over(who had been there the whole time) and asked me how I got a beer?! Seriously! Then asked me if I paid for my second, but I didn’t have 2, there was just a dirty glass on the bar. Then she started complaining to the bartender about someone who’s always late… you know people love listening to staff complain about other staff… Anyway my recommendation is to hit the Wazzee Supper Club down the street.

Tony, we need to talk. Your pizza is passable, albeit greasier than Ralph Macchio in ‘The Outsiders.’ The Sicilian slices are generous, bready, and oven crisp. But your neopolitan pies are wholly lacking in love. Perhaps Papa John’s motto would serve you well; a fresh buffalo mozzarella, some high quality veg, and something other than your bulk Hormel pepperoni would help here. Word to the wise, if you must venture to Tony for your pizza fix, try to eat it hot. Once these slices cool down, the grease and cheese congeal into the superstructure of a cardboard crust.

My wife and I stopped in for an early lunch and each had 2 slices. The Neapolitan thin crust was excellent. Generous cheese and toppings. Delicious pizza! The pizza was hot and prepared fresh. We will be back! Not to mention, it was our least expensive lunch downtown Denver during this week’s visit. Friendly service too.

Dining alone, ordered a slice, salad, water, received within 4 minutes; fast. Slice was big, and hot, salad was good portion; clean, delicious. Great value for $ 8. Nice, lively dining room on 16th near Union Station; lots of ped traffic/people-watching. Recommend.

Not good service. The girl that initially helped us was not helpful, and brought out the wrong pizza. 20 minutes later, what seemed like a manager came and asked what we needed. 10 minutes later our pizza came. It was DELICIOUS, butter girl initially helping us seemed uninterested and unmotivated. Be patient and you’ll get a great pizza.

Ordered a single slice of sausage pizza and waited over 20 minutes to get my slice. After about 15 minutes, I got up and asked the front counter what was taking so long. Then within minutes, my pizza magically appeared at our table. I should’ve asked for my tip back. The guy just didn’t care to be there. I’ve been to other locations where they have a good time and treat their customers well. This place clearly thinks they deserve a cushy job in a high rise somewhere in New York City. I’ll be back but not to this location. By the way, their pizza is good as is their other menu items. Phone in your order and skip the lousy service.

They don’t accept the«check-in» free drink at this location they were very short about it too, which was kind of rude. And the soda machine was out of cherry and vanilla flavorings which was disappointing.

Do not eat here! Not only was it the worst pizza experience, I got sick from eating here. I waited around 30 minutes for 2 pepperoni slices. Unbelievable! After I had waited 15 minutes I go to the front and ask if they forgot about my slices. The cashier tells me they had to make a new pizza! So I wait, longer and longer, and it takes a half hour for 2 slices of pepperoni pizza. I wait patiently, but only because I really had no choice. I was locked into this deal. So I finally get my slice. From the first bite I wonder«how can you screw this up!?» — The slice is hard as a rock and cannot be folded. On the first bite it crumbles into about eight pieces. This pizza was literally the worst I have ever eaten. The staff were rude, especially the big bartender jerk. Not only did the pizza suck, later that day I was sick to my stomach. Food poisoning? Go elsewhere! Sliceworks, Two-Fisted Mario’s, even Marquee’s is better than this crap pizza joint. It’s a joke!

They got this little space that I really don’t like. it feels like suffocating when I was there. Okay on their pizza, they got this non so appealing pizza. I tried hard just to eat one of it and the taste was mediocre. The pizza has lesser cheese than I expected, I think it has more flour than the usual. i can hardly say its a good pizza because what I had was like undercooked pizza.

I usually stop by once a week(I work in the same building)…large, delicious slices served made-to-order and served quick(even during the lunch-time rush). Far and away, one of the best pizza spots in all of Denver and the staff is always über-friendly!

I am a regular to Anthony’s pizza I’ve been coming to this exact location for more than 13 years, and usually we have good, not great casual food. I used to go here when it was on the other side the building. Now Anthony’s is getting remodeled and putting in so much effort into becoming«fancier» if you will. But when I went there the other day I ordered my usual, a pizza with mushrooms, Sausage and onions. Not only did it take 30 minutes to come out of the oven, it left my kids starving who had spent a day playing soccer at the park and were ready for the delicious mushroom, sausage and onion pizza. Finally it came out but, this left our apatite to fade. The pizza we were accustomed to was changed completely and for the worse. First of all when you make a pizza it’s not that hard. All you need to do is cook the sausage in and place the onions and mushrooms on top yet the young and arrogant employees of this restaurant found this to complicated and well, just put under cooked sausage over cooked onions and mushrooms on a two day old pizza. This upset me, for two reasons first of all it was unsafe for eating undercooked foods may cause illness especially to my kids and second of all because this restaurant is making a remodel in order to become a fancier restaurant but their food is disappointing. When I told the employee that we had a bad pizza he said«we always done it this way» which really upset me be jaw the guy was in his early 20’s have been coming here for 13 years and that was disappointing. Anthony’s is taking steps in the wrong direction. The employee’s lack the enthusiasm that every restaurant needs to thrive.

Love the fact that Anthony’s offers both reusable and compostable cups. Wish their options were more the same with their pizzas. Ordered a thin-crust pizza with a friend, topped with spinach and tomato slices. Simple pie. They used way too much red sauce and it made the crust soggy. When holding a slice it in your hands you could feel the moisture seep onto your palms. A Crust ought be… well, crusty. Crunchy. Really loud music in their otherwise empty space necessitated a request to «turn it down» or change the station. Staff were prompt and amenable with the request. Pizza could be better, service is standard and simple. Nice people. Bonus points for the awesome wall-sized photo of Brooklyn Bridge.

My favorite place to get a slice of NY-style pizza in Denver! The product is consistent and delicious. The cannolis are also amazing! I love this location as it has ample seating + a bar. Plus, it’s just off the 16th Street Mall. Always love coming here!

Ordered a Sicilian cheese slice and have to say that for the size of the pizza it is a good deal. Pizza was okay, it was freshly made and the crust was good. The store was pretty empty considering it is right on 16th St mall which maybe worked out for me as the service was fast and attentive. There are better pizza’s in Denver but for the price and portion size I wouldn’t mind stopping here for a slice of pizza.

This is the closest restaurant to my condo. Pizza is one of those things that everyone has a different kind that they like. Anthony’s falls into the category of one of the types that is my favorites. This, lots of cheese and good pepperoni. I also have to say I love the new Coke machines that are springing up in different restaurants around the country, with Anthony’s being one of them. You can select what type of drink you want, and what flavoring you will add to it.

Cute location, good people watching site, and they have one of the new fangled code machines. By the slice, add your own toppings, but then they just slap them on and toss it thru the oven to «warm» it up. Hmmm I chose tomatoes, alas these we’re salad tomatoes to big old chunks still cold. Stick to beer and pepperoni and you’ll be much happier Combos are pretty good, salad was actually decent! Not sure I’d go out of my way to go here again, but take and go for a picnic in commons park could be nice!
