My wife and I frequent this store, and the wait staff have unswervingly attended us with smiles, speed, and accuracy. Plus, the Egg and I makes their own hash, and they have grits! Creamy, cooked just right grits! Nice work, Egg and I: we’ll be back.

I had the Athena scramble with potatoes and grits. The scramble was pretty good with tons of feta, asparagus, and other veggies, but also tasted of margarine. The potatoes were covered in ranch dressing seasoning which I found unpleasantly overpowering. I must have missed that on the menu. The grits were instant and unsalted with big lumps. Perhaps if I stirred some of my ranch potatoes in my grits, the flavors would balance. I don’t plan on returning. On the plus side, my to-go order was ready in 10 minutes and the man at the door was very friendly.

I’ve eaten at several breakfast places including egg and I outside of Colorado, and this one is hands down the best! The dark roast coffee is better than starbucks and dazbog, so fresh! The manager has been there everytime I’ve visited whether its to go, or sitting in. Always pleasant and nice no matter how wretched I look! Love the Beligum Waffles, love the service, love the food. Consistency is key! This is my new go to breakfast place, so glad its close!

My first time at this branch of The Egg & I… Normally I eat at the ones in my hometown(and where they started) of FoCo. So it’s never felt like a «chain» to me. I am torn between a 3& a 4-star rating, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and round up. :) 4-star features… Our server was very kind and friendly. He brought us plenty of coffee and water and the service was good. Our food was also good. My son enjoyed the«Patriot waffle» which hit the spot for him. I chose the Vera Cruz Omelette from«the lighter side» section of the menu. The omellete was nice, no complaints. They subbed wheat toast for the English muffin & it also came with fruit(mixed fruit was OK, not the best/freshest I’ve been served). 3-star reasons… Let’s face it, this place isn’t hip, food selection is fairly typical, and the atmosphere is a bit stale. If they don’t want to become more like a Perkins, they might want to start amazing it up a bit. I do prefer my usual location in Fort Collins… Maybe just comfort and familiarity? Also as I mentioned above, my side of fruit could’ve been nicer and same with the berries I observed on my son’s waffle. Anyhow, the food was satisfying. We were seated right away on a Sunday morning at 8:15, though there was a wait by the time we left around 9:40.

I was very unhappy with my experience. My girlfriends potatoes were burnt and my over medium eggs were runny. We were preparing for a hike but had to postpone it because I got very sick. Not a great time

We had an awesome server, food was delicious, and no wait on a Sunday. My only comment for improvement would be the exterior appearance-it’s a little dated/could use some paint or something. Otherwise, great experience!

Reliably mediocre. I’ve been here many times because my dad insists on it. I’ve tried lots of different menu items, and everything is incredibly BLAND. Not terrible, but not good. Go somewhere else.

When I lived in Texas, going out for breakfast wasn’t something I did too often because there weren’t many decent places to get breakfast near where I lived. Then The Egg and I came to town a few years ago and changed that. Now that I live in Denver, I’ve found so many interesting places with interesting menus to get breakfast that The Egg wasn’t really high on my priority list as a place to go back to. But one morning I was craving the ‘Athena Scramble’ and had to go. It’s amazing at the consistency with this chain. The food was just as yummy as I remembered it! The service was good and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. My server was friendly and efficient and made sure I had everything I needed. I’d say that there’s a good chance that I’ll be going back!

I went here with my boyfriend’s family and it was AWFUL! We didn’t even get our food because after waiting for over an hour we were beyond starving and just wanted to go somewhere else. Rude waitress, insanely long wait for our food, and the most disrespectful manager I’ve ever dealt with. First off our waitress came and took, our drink order and asked if we were ready to order our food, 2 of us said no while the other 2 said yes. The waitress didn’t acknowledge that we said no and just started taking an order and when I tried to tell her I’m not ready I need a few more minutes she just gave me a nasty look, said oh and walked off. Then didn’t come back, for 15 minutes. And when she did finally come back she wasn’t nice or even polite and basically acted like she wanted to be anywhere else. And also we never got coffee refills until I went looking for our waitress and told her we needed refills. Second, we were seated about 5 minutes after a family of 6 and about 10 minutes before a family of 4 and both tables got their food and were almost finished eating and we still hadn’t gotten our food. It had been about an hour since we ordered and about an hour and 20 minutes since we sat down. I found this really strange and really irritating as I and my guests were crazy hungry. Our waitress told, us they were short a cook that day so that’s why there was a delay but that still made no sense to me. Third, we finally decided to leave after it had been about an hour and 45 minutes since we had been seated and we were so hungry and we still hadn’t gotten our food. I asked to speak to the manager and never before have I been treated with such disrespect. She just looked at me with a tight smile and didn’t say anything, then when I was done speaking she just said ‘are you done?’ I was livid. Worst experience at a restaurant I’ve ever had. Needless to say I won’t be back and I definitely will not be recommending any egg and I to anyone in the future. #beyonddisgusted

For breakfast, The Egg and I is great. It’s close to home and I don’t have to get on Colorado Blvd, which is what driving through hell must be like. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean, the service is good. There is alfresco seating, which I have not used. I can onIy comment on the blueberry pancakes and they are delicious. The single pancake is large, served with butter, a blueberry(I forget what they call it) sauce, bacon or sausage and two eggs. I got over easy and the eggs were cooked to perfection. It was a lot of food and I couldn’t finish my meal, but I was quite satisfied. The price is reasonable and the staff is friendly. Try it. You may like it.

The Egg and I really impressed me this time. I ate by myself and was well received. From the minute I walked in the door, despite there being a line, I was asked if I could be helped. This is keen observation and lacks at a lot of restaurants. Literally first impression boost. Now, I am seated immediately. My server is a gentle and prompt young guy. He brought me my orange juice and a side water, which I did not ask for. This is another point. And to top it off, he brought me a pitcher of water, so that I may refill the water myself. Stellar. The food, I ordered the Viva la France. I got my eggs overhard with sausage patties. I finished the whole plate. I won’t even describe the taste because this review is an appreciation for the restaurant’s service. While eating my meal, the server kindly asked if I had been to the restaurant before. I said yes and asked for some recommendations. He was genuinely happy about telling me about the granola pancakes and the strawberry banana waffles. I will try these next time. I was most thankful, however for the server’s time in answering my question. Bravo.

I’ve been here twice and both times it was excellent. The hazelnut coffee and raisin French toast with cinnamon butter is to die for and the eggs Benedict is great as well. The square peasant potatoes are cooked and seasoned just right. Le Peep is good but the potatoes tend to be undercooked. Dozens on Havana does not compare at all. Egg and I gives you much better quality and more food for less money.

It is a bit pricey but the food is great! Service is okay, I wish the servers paid more attention to the tables, although understandable due to busy business. The egg and I is one of my favorite breakfast/brunch joints! I recommend this restaurant as well as any other egg and i’s.

Great once again! I ordered the Greek frittata with home fries/potatoes and wheat toast and washed it down with their hazelnut flavored coffee! The service was very welcoming, sat right down and had door within 15 minutes! Great place for breakfast! We’ll see you again!

I’ve been meaning to write a review here for a while. I really enjoy this place as a breakfast/brunch spot. The staff is always wonderful and very inviting. There is almost never an absurd wait like all of the trendy brunch spots downtown. The longest I’ve ever waited is about 20 minutes but can usually just walk in. The food is also delicious. I usually gets the eggs Benedict but switch it up once in a while and have never been disappointed.

This is probably my favorite breakfast place in Denver. And by probably I mean, totally is. It may not be as creative or calorically intense as Snooze(which, admittedly, is also delicious), but Egg and I has excellent fare without the wait/insanity. I love their waffles. The patriot waffle is a favorite of mine(blueberries, raspberries, and powdered sugar — and somehow, even in the dead of winter they still use fresh berries, they never taste frozen), and their egg dishes are solid and varied. Service is reliable. Only once when it seemed there was some kind of crisis in the kitchen did we have a noticeable wait. It’s home-y, welcoming, and unwaveringly Pro-broncos. A solid weekend staple.

Not bad for a chain. No matter where you go on a Sunday morning theres always a wait but we got sat in less than the quoted 20−25mins. Service was fast and friendly and the food was decent. I got the Mexican omelette and friend got the Eggs Benedict, oh and we split a side of Biscuits and gravy. They have Cholula hot sauce if you ask for it and it helped with the otherwise bland potatoes.

Went with my sister and a friend we had just picked up from the airport for a quick breakfast. We were greeted and seated right away. Got fresh hot coffee and our order came out quick. My sister wanted the huevos rancheros and she said they were very good. Our friend ordered the Santa Fe huevos and they were quite tasty. Whenever I go to a breakfast place, always have to get pancakes. I got the scrambled eggs with bacon and two buttermilk pancakes. Very tasty. The plus is they also offer military discount! All in all, a very good breakfast at a good price.
