I had breakfast here recently. It was good — not life-changing, but good. I had the Original Mile High with bacon, eggs over easy, and tortillas. The Mile High is ‘hash browns smothered with red or green chili, cheddar and jack cheeses, two eggs any style, served with toast, mini cakes, or flour tortillas’. The portion size was adequate, but not as much as I was expecting considering the name of the dish and the portion sizes some other restaurants offer. I would have preferred corn tortillas, but the menu doesn’t list them as an option(next time I’ll ask if they have any). I also had this dish ‘Christmas style’ with half and half red and green chili. It’s hard to tell with all the cheese and the runny yolk, but I think the red chili had more flavor than the green. Service was good. My server was pleasant and efficient and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my meal(and she was busting buns in there taking care of diners and bussing tables). This restaurant is in an older, very non-descript strip mall next to a coin laundry. The outside of the restaurant is very non-descript as well. You really have to be looking for this place to find it. The interior of the restaurant was clean but without much in the way of décor. The heat was set at a nice temp and it felt very welcoming and cozy on a cold morning. At some point someone categorized this place as a Mexican restaurant. The do have some Mex and Tex-Mex(or New Mex) style dishes, but it’s not a Mexican restaurant.

Came to get some breakfast here right before leaving Denver. It was around 9am on a Monday and this restaurant wasn’t very busy. The server brought out our waters and menus right away, which was good. There are a lot of breakfast options here, the menu is quite extensive. I ended up going with the Huevos Rancheros, which were excellent. We didn’t have to wait long to order and the food came out decently quick. I noticed on the menu that they had some mimosas, but we did not end up getting any. Overall it was a good, low key breakfast place and I would definitely come back again.

I enjoy going to this place. The food is good, especially for the price, and I usually receive good service. The staff is friendly. I didn’t realize until I had been going there for years that this is owned by someone who owns Weck’s locations down in Albuquerque. I love the Mile High bowls — the perfect portion for someone who doesn’t like to bring home leftovers or over-stuff myself. But if you’re looking for big portions they have those, too!

Simple little diner in a random strip mall in the Cherry Creek/Glendale neighborhood. Came here for a simple breakfast: two eggs over medium, hash browns, and a small stack of pancakes. Just one of those things that really hit the spot at a reasonable price to boot!

Casual, never too crowded or loud. Always consistent selections & preparation, red sauce could use a little pizzazz but green sauce is always good. Try the Mile Highs, my favorite! Coffee and pancakes are good choices too!

My dad and I are two peas in a pod. We agree on most things except for one — BRUNCH. I’m ok putting my name on a list for something good, but nothing makes him more upset than having to wait for brunch, especially if it’s over an hour like some more popular spots can be(you know who I’m talking about!). Caitlin’s is more up his alley. It’s no frills, fast and still delicious. I guess I would call this a Mexican diner? The breakfast menu has a little bit of everything including pancakes, oatmeals, omelettes, loaded hash browns, burritos, and more. I went with the huevos rancheros — two over easy eggs atop corn tortillas with hash brows, beans, green chili and cheese! My dad ordered the chicken enchiladas smothered with green chili and topped with cheese. Not going to lie, our two plates looked(and probably tasted) very similar. Not a bad thing, just the style! My huevos rancheros became a big mess and I just mixed it all up and scarfed it down. It’s a comfortable spot. They had the Today Show playing on the TVs, others read the newspaper and sipped on some black coffee while enjoying their breakfast. Above all, it was cheap! Our whole meal was about $ 20. Would I come back? Sure! I’d be curious to try their breakfast burritos and especially the cinnamon roll. Just don’t come expecting anything fancy and you’ll hopefully leave full and happy!

Stopped here for a late breakfast(OK it was practically lunch). They serve breakfast until 3, so since I was on the hunt for a breakfast burrito, it was perfect. I ordered the carne adovada breakfast burrito, with Christmas chili. I usually like to have a little of both, and this way I get to taste both chilis in one sitting! The green is a little bit spicier than the red, but if it helps any, neither are extremely spicy at all for those spice-intolerant folks. I liked the red better than the green, though I typically would choose green over red if that makes any sense. I don’t remember the green having a whole lot of flavor. The memorable part of my meal was the potatoes that came alongside my burrito. They were more on the soft side, served shredded with cheddar cheese on top. And they were heavenly and creamy. Oh and when the red chili was spilled over onto them? YES. Top this off with friendly and quick service, and you’ve got a winner. Delightful.

The Mile High hit the spot! It was really delicious and has the perfect amount of spice with the green salsa. The service was great and the food was brought out super fast!

The Great: The Pancakes The Good: The Service The Bad: Everything else Don’t sit too close to the back(near the stinky restrooms) Don’t order the French toast, it was soggy and eggy still

The staff is very friendly and their food is great! My favorite go to is the mile high. Hash browns are always cooked to perfection and their green chili is delicious.

I love this place! Great prices with huge portions of food. The food can sometimes use a little more spice, but there are plenty of options available to add on your own. Service is on top of it, even on busy weekend brunch times.

This is a good, cheap, hole-in-the-wall breakfast joint. Caitlin’s had a perfect variety of breakfast items, and plenty of tables for fast service. I had the eggs benedict, and the ham was a little too salty for my preference. The location is prime for all of the houses in Virginia Village!

Unfortunately I’ll have to find a new place to eat. I was on the patio enjoying a meal, despite the two rudest patrons being there. They were rude to the servers and loud and boorish. If that wasn’t enough one of them started lighting up a cigarette in the dining area. I asked him not to do it, and he said«sorry honey they gave me an ash tray, it’s going to happen». I asked the woman working the register(note: every time you go to the register and you actually had a problem do you ever notice that’s not the time when they ask«how was everything?») if smoking was allowed out on the patio. She said yes, and I clarified thinking there is surely an ordinance that prohibits smoking in eating areas inside or out. She said that the health department has never said anything. So bummer these two hipster douchebags that were drunk, boorish, rude to the servers will be welcomed back with open arms, while polite customers who tip 20% will now have to find a new place to have a nice Saturday morning breakfast.

Great little casual Mexican restaurant. Thumbs up on the fresh salsa + margaritas. Generous servings, great service and prices. Food tasted fresh. FYI: Their guac does have sour cream mixed in it. So it is not dairy free. Beans and rice were veggie friendly.

Pretty good. Came in at 11:00 for lunch and it wasn’t too busy. Considered sitting on the back deck, but didn’t see any shade so opted in for a booth on the inside. Our server was quick and attentive, the rest of the team was also nice and courteous. I ordered the the half salad and sand which, got the cheese steak and ranch as my dressing. The cheese steak meat was somewhat dry and not very flavorful. Had to get a side of mayo to give it some lubrication. The salad was different, huge tomato slice and I think there were pine nuts on it as well for a strange flavor combination. Rang was okay, way too thick, more buttermilk would have made it better. But overall good experience. Can’t wait to try their breakfast burritos.

Closer to 4 stars, but… There was at least a 10 minute gap between when our drinks were brought to our table and when our orders were taken. We had a table of about 10 at a time when 4 other tables were in use, so I thought we might get some priority. Portions were smaller than other breakfast diners I have been to, but still adequate. Who really wants a monstrous pile of food anyway?(I do. Shhhh.) The café fare was good though. I liked it, but was not crazy about it. I had the carne asada breakfast burrito. Everything about it was tasty, especially the green chili, except the actual meet, the carne! It was dry, flavorless, and scarce. My wife’s huevos rancheros was really good though. All that being said, I would come back to Caitlin’s, but I would not go too far out of my way.

Stopped in here for breakfast, as I realized I’m basically across the street. First impressions, the wait staff was friendly and inviting, place was small but well organized. I got the Mile High with bacon, to-go. It was fairly inexpensive, and came out hot and ready to go in under 5mins. The food is prepared well, eggs are not over cooked, the hash browns could of been crispier(but it did steam a little on my walk home), but overall pretty darn good, and not too greasy like I was expecting. Only thing I would add is, if you’re like me you might need the salt and pepper as the flavors are a little bland. I’m not faulting the kitchen for this as they have to appeal to all audiences.

I had a chorizo burrito and a grilled cinnamon roll ordered for takeout. The burrito was smothered in red and green chili and it was super delicious! The grilled cinnamon roll was perfect! It had a tasteful buttery taste to it! They were pretty busy when I came in to order my food to-go but people were going in and out pretty quickly. I probably waited 5 – 7 minutes for my food which I thought was going to take a bit longer, so I was pretty satisfied with that! Just a quick tip if you’re ordering a burrito for take out, make sure to ask for the sauce on the side if you want it smothered or else your food will be soggy when you get home. Luckily I live close and didn’t have that problem will definitely be visiting again!

Unfortunately Unilocalers let me down this time with high reviews of this place. They were friendly enough, but there is clearly no regard for the quality of the food here. All their ingredients looked, felt, and tasted cheap. I had a «carne asada» breakfast burrito that was stuffed with ground beef. Ground beef is NOT carne asada gringos! Beyond that, the waffle my grandma ordered was slightly undercooked and was clearly just cheap mix, as it tasted like dough more than anything. And to top it all off, even the Cholula I asked for to try to salvage my burrito tasted like they refilled it partially with Tapatio! Blasphemy! There are way too many good places here in Denver to waste time/money at this establishment.

I was at Bookies with a raging appetite and decided to Unilocal an early lunch. Catlin’s fit the bill, as I am up for breakfast any meal of the day. I ordered an egg white omelette with veggies, topped with green chili. I had a Bloody Mary to drink. My meal was a-ok, nothing earth-shattering, but not bad either. I don’t get all the praise for their green chili and their bloodys are a pre-made mix added to vodka, no spice or salad, save the obligatory olive. It is a decent choice if you are in the neighborhood and hungry, but I wouldn’t drive out of my way for it based on my experience. Maybe I just need to try something else.
