Peggy, Bruce, Lil are great. Been eating here for 10+ years, always good food, great soups and lunch specials.

I ordered the gilled cheese special. Grilled cheese, a bag of chips and a can of soda. Total including tax $ 5! Grilled cheese is juust like mom used to make — 1 slice of cheese was plenty and it was very filling.

In town for work and staying at downtown hotel. Found this place close by; walking distance. Low key couple runs the place but friendly and everyone who walked in the door they knew and greeted. Good prices and good food. Got the breakfast burrito: eggs, cheese, potatoes, green chili and sausage. Thumbs up. Will be back.

Nothing fancy here, just simple, good, food, in this reasonably inexpensive mom and pop restaurant.

Four stars on my scale of humble breakfast eateries squeezed into tiny spaces. Great little mom n pop eatery convenient to the civil court buildings. The breakfast burrito was freshly prepared and scrumptious. There’s a pretty long menu of breakfast and lunch options. The drip coffee was perfectly adequate — they had regular and dark brews. Powdered creamer was a disappointment, but honestly I didn’t inquire about cream, so maybe they have that too? Service was personable and accommodating. It’s a small café with just a handful of tables to sit at, so if there’s a crowd, seating may be hard to find. I look forward to eating here again, but hopefully not coinciding with a visit to traffic court ;-)

There’s not much to not like about Supreme Bean Café — it’s ran by two strong lovely ladies, affordable breakfast prices, and it’s a great people watching destination. Supreme Bean Café is housed in the same building as the Denver Probation offices so the range of people drastically differs. I got the $ 6.50 huervos rancheros(eggs, cheese, green chili, beans, home fries, 2 tortillas) and $ 1.75 large drip coffee.

Best food for a great price! I’ve tried almost everything and have always been satisfied. They often have lunch specials too. Convenient location & friendly staff :-)

I used to work upstairs from the Supreme Bean.(To whomever couldn’t find other eateries near the courthouse: You were SURROUNDED by eateries!) Peg sounds kind of intimidating on the phone, but, it’s just her voice. The staff are super friendly and they make your food to order. BONUS: the ABSOLUTEBESTMOSTPERFECTBLT on sourdough EVER!!! Seriously. I’ve done extensive field study and informal polls and we all agree.

Lucky for me, I work in the same building as this wonderful little café. The staff is always very happy to see you, and know most their customers by name. They are very pleasant, even in their busiest hours. I stop in many mornings for a chai latte and french toast or eggs, and the food is always made to order– very delicious! For lunch, I have a couple personal favorites– the Mother Theresa is perfect for days when you just need a little something to hold you over– bacon, tomato, and cream cheese on rye bread– very tasty! I’d also suggest the Cobb salad if you are looking for a healthy lunch that also fills you up. This salad is loaded with nearly as many goodies on top as there is lettuce. They also have a wide variety of sandwiches, soups, and burritos(among other things) for lunch, and many great breakfast items before 11am. I recently purchased one of their NO-SPILL coffee mugs as well, and it really does live up to it’s claim. I don’t have to worry about accidentally knocking my chai all over my desk or the car anymore. When you close the lid– you can toss it wherever, and your coffee will stay warm and INSIDE the mug. I would definitely recommend stopping into the Supreme Bean Café anytime you are in the downtown area! Eat and shop LOCAL!

I love this place. The staff is friendly and reminiscent of Cheers but in café clothing. They know you, make suggestions and are always glad to see you. The food is fantastic, especially the breakfast burrito. They run great specials everyday which is always something to look forward to.

The juror who inquired why there aren’t more places to eat near the courthouse hit the nail on the head for all of us poor civil servants working in the lunchtime blackhole that is the Justice Center. I knew I was in trouble when I explained one of my first weeks that I don’t like Subway, and someone offered up Quizno’s as an alternative. If Subway tastes like garbage with mayo mixed in(and it does), Quizno’s just insults my intelligence by sending a pile of garbage through a toaster oven and expecting me to think it’s something more than Subway, toasted. Justice Center is surrounded by chain sub shops whose bread smells like feet and meats smell-stain your fingers for days; and very little else. So I was pretty hopeful when I walked by this place one day after work and tucked it in the back of my mind for a day when I didn’t pack a lunch. I thought the coffee pun was a good sign(of being local? or something?) and a café! Quelle chance! I got it all so, so wrong. First of all, I’m not sure what«mom and pop» means to some of the other reviewers, but their food selection is literally no different than a gas station’s with a panini press. I had plenty of time to observe the wall-to-wall«food™», while waiting to have my existence acknowledged by any of the employees. I wish I’d left when I had the chance. Instead I got a grilled cheese meal for $ 5, but aside from the freshly pressed sandwich(on weird-tasting bread with an unidentifiable cheese type), none of the meal was something I couldn’t have gotten at a gas station. As far as I’m concerned, that does not constitute a café. Further, despite the place being empty upon my arrival(a choice time for cleanin’ if ever there was one!), one of the employees started spraying down tables near my own with a heavily-scented cleaner and wiping them down while I was still eating. Today I learned I would much rather eat chain food at a chain rather than at a gas-station-food-aisle masquerading as a café. If you have jury duty: Pack a lunch.

I work right next to this place at a law firm. Most of the people in our firm go here, especially since there aren’t a lot of food choices around, and the ones that are conveniently close(vs walking 3 – 4 blocks) are all chains. They are definitely a mom and pop, local café, with home cookin’! They have specials every day, and they are good! They seem to be very much a community café. They know my name, and call me by it when I go in. Some of my co-workers go here everyday or multiple times/day! I go about 1x/week. I highly recommend the breakfast burritos and breakfast bagel sandwiches! Soo good. They have really good lunch deals, and it’s pretty basic food offerings… Mexican, sandwiches, brats/hot-dogs, salads… They have some good lunch deals, a grilled cheese, bag of chips, and soda for $ 5. Not bad! Their coffee bar selection is really good too. I normally get a double-shot Americano or Cappuccino($ 2) and a turkey breakfast burrito w/vegetarian green chile. :) Definitely check them out if you’re in the area and hungry! :) Kinda pricey overall, but hey, it’s downtown.

Missed our first tour to the US mint so we grabbed breakfast while waiting. The smothered burritos are delicious! Potatoes are thinly sliced and a little crunchy, eggs were fluffy, and the chili had great flavor and just enough heat. Definitely worth stopping in.

I came for coffee because of the convenient location. After chatting for an hour decided to have something to eat. LOVE the breakfast burrito. I would certainly eat here again. And honestly, the friendliness of the staff makes me feel like I’m hanging out with friends rather than sitting in a restaurant/coffee shope. This place has my full recomendation.

Had jury today and had no idea where to go for lunch. Seriously why aren’t there more places to eat near the courthouse? I was walking towards the 16th street mall hoping I had enough time for nourishment. Where are food trucks when you need them when Supreme Bean Café caught my eye. I peered in at this tiny spot and decided to give it a go. I figured I would at least end up with a bag of chips at the worst. I ordered the grilled cheese which was promptly prepared. I was a tad disappointed to find it wasn’t very robust. I do believe only one piece of cheese was used on the whole sandwich. It just wasn’t very big or very filling. The mom and pop behind the counter were sweat enough and they did have a large rush hour at lunch. I do believe it may have more to do with their convenient location rather than the quality of their sandwiches.

I love the Supreme Bean Café Denver. Working in the area I have many options to eat. However, the simple, down-home cooking and excellent customer service keep me coming back. The menu is simple but eclectic. Supreme Bean is always innovating with daily specials and classic favorites. The prices are affordable and the service is friendly.

We stopped by in our rush to get food before touring the Mint. To our surprise, this place was pretty busy and was filled with what seemed to be loyal customers. We split the Turkey Bacon Wrap and a diet coke. Because this is a mom&pop shop, it was just mom&pop taking orders and making the food, so don’t be surprised if they ask you to wait to take your order(while they finish making the previous customer’s order). The wrap was simple with simple ingredients(tortilla, lettuce, mayo, turkey and bacon), but satisfying. The pop was super nice, continually telling us that it would just be another minute… i like when people keep you informed in order to manage your expectations. They def met our expectations. This couple was so nice, that they even let us hold our phones there while we went on the mint tour since you can’t bring in phones with cameras.
