What’s a better way to kill 3 hours? Having a drink! Or two? lol. The service here was great. Jim(I believe is his name) was a great bartender. Very nice and attentive. The other bartender, Taylor, was great as well! Very friendly and helpful. I just wanted to say thanks for the advice and tips!

What an amazing spot! We went for mother’s day brunch. The open air space was just beautiful, and the artwork throughout is so unique. I loved the views of downtown Denver. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The beignets alone are reason to go! My husband had the bloody mary that came with a lamb slider on top. It was very strange, but also interesting. The food was plated beautifully(though, I would expect nothing less from a restaurant at a hotel called the ART Hotel!). I had the burger which was excellent, though I could do without the house ketchup. Everyone at our table actually requested real ketchup for their dishes, so it wasn’t just me. I hear the vegetable mash and tomato soup were also great. On our way out, we noticed that they were offering free mug and wine glass crafting(painting or drawing on the cups). We even got a souvenir!

Dinner at the Fire gets 5 stars for ambiance and cocktails but –2 stars for food. The location can only carry a place so far. I had the trout«Cajou» it was pretty bland. The mushroom risotto was overly salted and just a big fail. The soup was un memorable and unappetizing. Filet was cooked perfectly but on the tiny side so if feeding a hungry man make sure to add a few sides, apps, or salad. The portion size of the entrees are pretty small but since mine was tasteless that was a non issue. Expect to spend $ 200 for a date night. approximately $ 40-$ 60 pp. on food and another $ 25pp for 2 drinks each. Not a biggie if the food was good. Drinks though were awesome! I would go back and hang out on the cool roof top Fire Lounge just for the drinks. My fav was the Still Life with Apples. That Apple foam on top makes it and I can’t stop thinking about it. The Jackson Pollack and Frida Kahlo were also good. We had the churros for dessert. I would order those again but would skip coming here for dinner. So yes, 3 stars because of the bland food but I will go back just for the drinks and dessert and expect that will be a better experience.

My dining companions arrived early and I arrived late. They only had bread because they literally had no contact with our server for the 25 minutes they’d been there. After we met our waiter then everything went smoothly. We all enjoyed our mixology, wine and entrees. Go for the cool Art Hotel concept and the good food, but not being acknowledged by waitstaff is unacceptable.

Go here! Was looking for a new place to try and stumbled upon this. The Art Hotel itself looked very cool but Fire was excellent. It’s located on the 4th floor of the hotel so just a quick escalator ride. Immediately I was impressed with how simple yet elegant the bar looked. Bartenders acknowledged us right away. To start, I got the Paloma and my husband had the rum old fashioned. Mine was good, tasted a lot like a margarita. My husband LOVED his… ordered several more and asked for the recipe. We weren’t that hungry so just wanted something small. A cheese plate is not a normal order for me but we figured we’d give it a try. It was DELICIOUS! All these cheeses were so great, but I especially loved the«crackers» and jam. I immediately put this place on my list to return to, especially when it’s warm because they had a killer patio.

Everything is great about this place — the décor — the setting — the art One little problem — the food is lousy They have had months to correct the problem with their food and seem convinced that a cool setting can overcome really terrible food

I really wanted to like this place a lot more than I did. I love the atmosphere and the hotel that it is a part of is the newest, hottest hotel in town. Right now it is the #1 rated hotel in Denver on TripAdvisor. The problem was that for some reason we went there the service was really slow. We showed up at the time of our reservation and our table was not ready. so we went to the bar for drinks… and waited… and waited… and waited. They never came for us. After about 30 minutes I finally went back to the host/hostess stand. They said they thought we had left even the we were sitting 15ft from the stand and very visible from the stand. Once we did get seated, the food was good to very good… but it took forever for the food to come out after we had ordered. Everyone was nice and friendly… just slow and they really didn’t seem to be on top of things. The restaurant wasn’t busy since it was after 8 pm when we finally got sat for a 7:30 pm reservation… but they still moved slow. Maybe I was a little more rushed than what I normally feel since we were already ½ hour later than expected.

Over the top pretentious menu. I have dinned three times with clients. Now I am boycotting until they fire the chef. I don’t get why they use so much oil and fats in the dishes. If the food is not doused in oil, it is sitting in a pool of oil, or just tastes greasy. Last week one of our party told me the next day she was up chucking grease most of the night. I would like to see them present items that are cleanly prepared, such as a grilled fish, steak(w/o a shot of oil) or artfully prepared soups. This is COLORADOFORGODSSAKE! Butternut squash soup is bland. Tasted like eating colored cream. Lettuce watery and wilty, or maybe that is Chef Picasso’s style? It is frustrating because I’d love to see another great restaurant nearby. SKIPITUNTILTHEREISTURNOVER, or a come to Jesus for Picssso.

Denver is becoming so chi-chi these days I think I may actually have to go out and get some nicer clothes to hang out at the places I’m finding I like to go. Had lunch today at Fire, the über-cool Art Hotel’s restaurant. Man, it’s like Manhattan had a baby on Broadway(and 12th). Art everywhere. Some of it really neat. Some of it a little too neat for me to appreciate. You know. .. you look at it for a while and you still can’t figure out whether its art or whether a maid just hasn’t finished cleaning up yet. Lunch, however, was without question lunch. And it was excellent. Split a Caesar salad that was elegantly presented with white anchovies, cool crisp lettuce, good dressing, shaved parmesan, and crunchy croutons. I had the duck rillettes and my dining companion had a trio of crab sliders. Both were very tasty, and the service was prompt, professional and friendly. All-in-all a place well worth visiting, and I hear that Happy Hour is a treat.(Treat or not, it certainly must be a very stylish event). Check it out and see what I mean. Denver’s quite the cosmopolitan«Queen City of the Plains» these days. Sign me, David«country bumpkin» M.

{ + } staff is extremely friendly and attentive { + } food has good flavor(my favorite was the chilled lo mein ‘noodles’ w/o cilantro. it was fresh and had great flavors! { + } fire pits outside { + } TVs available, slightly away from the main bar area basically, lots of options to wine + dine! { — } can get a little noisy when you have large groups(or drunk people), lots of glass and hard surfaces. maybe they should invest in sound absorption panels or something?

This rating is for the outside patio, as we just had cocktails and didn’t sample any of their food. The vibe on the patio is excellent and chill. It’s perfect for after work happy hour(which they call social hour :)), or for meeting up for a quick drink before going out to dinner or a show. They have great service, a fire pit, nice art, and just an overall fun, laid back atmosphere. I highly recommend giving it a try while the weather is warm.

The outside patio is beautiful and the drinks are delightful. Bartender Shellie is great! She knows her drinks and is great with her patrons. Order the Brazilian drink! As for the food? Well, breakfast was decent. I ordered a veggie Eggs Benedict. But, the dinner menu needs some work; for one, the chef couldn’t make a Caesar salad with blackened salmon. Go figure. Also, the lettuce was soggy and the salmon portion was extremely lacking in size.

I“m honestly surprised by all of the four and five star reviews. The atmosphere at Fire is terrific — the bar and outdoor space are really great — and the service is good but the food is merely ok. Their interpretation of caprese is bizarre and flavorless and topping cold tomatoes with melted mozzarella results in something gross, unappetizing and inedible. Our food was delivered cold and my steak was severely undercooked — to the point that i couldn’t eat it. The server said he would remove the caprese since we didn’t eat it but that didn’t happen. They have a small but interesting wine list though they were out of the Pinot Noir we wanted. I don’t mind dropping $ 300 on dinner for two if the experience is great but this experience was anything but great and certainly NOT worth $ 300. This place has amazing potential if operations and execution are tightened. But it doesn’t deserve four or five stars when compared with places like Il Post, Luca, Fruition and may others that have tight execution and MUCH better food. I hope Fire get serious about not trying so hard and focuses on executing well. The location and setting are great and it could be a four star place but needs a lot of work to get to that point.

Swung by on a quick visit to Denver. Came in mid day and enjoyed a few great cocktails. Started out with the still life with apples, very strong apple taste with a solid spirit undercurrent. Second drink was the fire and blood orange margarita. Spicy and close to a bloody Mary. Bar has a great ambience and would have loved to come back when the fore is roaring outside, but alas, just visiting Denver for the day.

An elegant and beautiful place to dine. If you have a date this would be an impressive place to take them. From the food to the handcrafted drinks I have to say that this place is impressive and an added bonus to the Denver restaurant scene!

Good food! Decent service but super expensive. This place is on the brink of being discovered. They do add some interesting twists on old favorites. Totally worth a try if you value good food at a high price. The atmosphere is worth checking out. Also ask for a tour of the hotel.

The roof! The roof! The roof is on FIRE!!! Most importantly, FIRE is on the roof!!! This may be the best kept secret in town: Rooftop terrace restaurant and bar inside the Art Hotel!!! Step in to the glamorous Art hotel and it is just a short elevator ride to FIRE! This place is an Art Aesthetes dream! Loaded with REAL Art, like Vance Kirkland and A giant Deborah Butterfield horse– the bar and restaurant sits perched open air, California style. The drink menu is stupendous, using various art influenced inspirations-matisse Martini for example. The menu is amazing. Go!

Best in the West The Art Hotel is Denver’s newest addition of luxury hotels. It’s different than your generic Four Seasons Hotel style and all the art pieces made my entire experience at this hotel absolutely astonishing. Valet was around $ 38 or there’s parking lots nearby for around $ 10. Once you take the elevator to the 4th floor lobby you will be greeted by a flower girl art piece. Aaron one of the managers made our check-in comfortable and told us how excited everyone is about their brand new hotel. My suite balcony room had a memorable view of broadway st. Art Hotel is located right next to the Art Museum and Colorado State Capital building which makes it convenient for first time visitors to sightsee during the day. They also have a complimentary Lincoln Navigator for shuttle to nearby restaurants. Overall, everyone greeted us by name and we felt as if we were the only guests in the hotel. The cabana fire pits at Fire Restaurant Lounge were a nice touch. I especially enjoyed the Bison Benedict and the morning room service pancakes came with the best maple syrup I’ve EVER had. I can keep writing about how much this hotel rocks and I can’t wait to come back!
