Food was BLAH… chicken wings were not crispy… Mac N Cheese bites were tasteless… Cheeseburger Potato skins were cold and nasty… food was POOR at best!!! Save the money and use the concession stands inside.

Terrible! We sat for 20 minutes no server, she finally came and we were ready to order. She brought me the wrong drink, almost brought my husband the wrong food(luckily they were out of what she tried to bring him, so when she came to tell him that they were out of the chicken, again, not what he ordered, we were able to correct her) someone else brought our food, then we literally never saw her again. We tried to flag a hostess down for some ketchup, and she looked at me confused, stood around our table waiting to find someone to being is ketchup(went she couldn’t just take 2 seconds to grab a bottle, instead of wait 2 minutes to find someone else to get it for us, I’ll never know) finally, we waived down our server and paid. The food was bland, mediocre and expensive, my husband said his sandwich tasted like dirt, like the grill has never been cleaned. My salmon was bland, except the mustard«glaze» was just a thick glob of pure spicy mustard, inedible in that quantity. We would have loved a 2nd drink, but she never returned. The atmosphere is great for a pre– game drink, but avoid the food! And have extra time for the terrible service!

We decided to eat here before our first Avalanche game. Next time I will chose McDonald’s. The menu was over priced for quality of food. We first ordered 12 wings for appetizer. They came to the table in about 5 minutes and were cold. We sent them back and and they came back out 30 secs later and were hot?!? They must of just dipped them in the fryer and retossed them in the sauce. Ceased salads were ok, Parmesan cheese crust was the best part. I ordered the flat iron steak, overcooked, tasted choice steak at best. It was 26 dollars, I will go to outback for a steak instead of here. Beware of you eat here.

Updating my last review from the former Blue Sky Grille to Shock Top. This place had not changed. Well, except for the name and staffing. The food is horrible and over priced, service sub par. Saving my breath and will just say, save your cash and go to Brooklyn’s.

Excellent dinner! Great service! Even the side dishes showed great attention to detail. For such a huge venue that fills(and empties) so fast, it far surpassed my expectations.

*assistant manager called to get this fixed. I cannot blame a restaurant for the actions of a server, it’s just distressing. But I’m thankful for the prompt call back* When the server steals money, there’s a problem. We went there after the game on October 30 just to get a quick bite. My friend and I split the bill of 30.95 and added our tips. So the next day I’m looking at my bank account and see that my card was run for another 24 dollars from Shocktop restaurant. Called my friend and she had the same amount charged on her card. So it seems like our server walked away with a 54 dollar tip. The most distressing part is I wonder how many other people have their cards charged unknowingly at this place. Def doesn’t make me want to ever go there again. *I just checked my account and now there’s another charge for 39.95 from Shocktop on my card.*

Great new venue, super wait service. New menu great offerings, but price is way too high for the small portions. Its a shame that thier idea of portion control is about 30% too small even compared to the concessions stands throughout the, Pepsi Center. Not crowded, I wonder why?

We dined before a sold out concert and were very happy with everything. Service was great, our appetizer came out the same time with drinks– so fast! Water glasses were constantly full and the food was delicious. Caesar salad was my personal fave… Huge portion and comes with lemon wedges and a large Parmesan«crisp». Children’s menu was pretty basic, but the chicken tenders were a hit. Super convenient as they are inside the Pepsi center and pre-screen you at their door. You can go right into the center from the restaurant. Loved it and highly recommend!

Not the best. Only recommend for convenience when you are attending an event at the Pepsi Center.

This restaurant has changed in the past year from another owner/name, and it is not a good change. We were seated quickly, and the ambiance is nice, but our food was not good. We tried the special(nacho mac and cheese balls), and my date liked them. Our nachos and burgers however were not good. The burger was very dry(to be fair, I wasn’t asked how I would like it cooked), and didn’t have a lot of flavor. It did come quickly. The nachos were tasteless too. On a plus, our waiter was attentive.

I went last night just before the Mammoth game. The Shocktop beer tasted nice, but the food isn’t that great. I paid about $ 10 for nachos that were tough. That’s right, tough nachos. I’m not sure if they were stale or microwaved, but chewing those suckers took effort. Not worth the money. My husband had tacos and our buddy had a pastrami sandwich, and their food wasn’t much better. They really liked their chocolate stouts, but the food was just not that impressive and it was cold. I would only get beer here before the game. From now on, I’m just going to go to Red Robin instead.

Went for the Nugs game Friday night. Thieving bartender took a photo of my debit card at the register thinking nobody saw him. I had to cancel card while in the bathroom. I notified the other bartender to tell management. I doubt he did.

As a season ticket holder, I’ve been there a few times. The only reason I can see going is for pregame drinks. The food is pricey and doesn’t even sniff the justification of the prices. The $ 14 burger ia a hockey puck on a stale bun. The fries tasted like they were made an hour ago. The $ 16 French dip followed the theme of other reviews as being soggy. … I get that everything at sports venues is overpriced, but these are REALLY basic dishes that require so very little effort to even reach the«decent» standard. I haven’t tried some of the more expensive dishes simply because the other reviews say don’t do it and in don’t want to pay extra for further disappointment The second star was only due to solid service

I just happened to be really early for a Nuggets game while it was snowing and cold. This was my only choice for warmth. Glad it was. I had the potato beer cheese soup and bbq wings. They were both fantastic. Top it with a cheap pint of coors light on tap, and it turned into a great pre-game dinner. Plus the actual restaurant is cool. Very rustic, almost like a mountain cabin on the inside. Fireplaces and multiple bars. Really cool atmosphere and the pricing wasn’t bad either.

After being seated for a pre mammoth dinner we waited and waited to get our drink orders taken. After noticing 4 wait staff standing around chatting we had to get up and ask them if someone could take our orders. The food was ordered, and after forgetting a few sides, we finally began to eat. The food was awesome & it was promptly gone due to the small portions, we started to feel a LITTLE better about our decision. After getting the check we were not happy with paying those prices for the service or the amount of food we received. Although convenient, we will have our pre game meals elsewhere.

Made a reservation and went there for dinner at about 6 before a Nuggets game. I wouldn’t go back for food again and here’s why: The food: I ordered the chicken wellington while my friend ordered the prime rib french dip sandwich. I was excited to try the chicken wellington since it’s been a while since I had a wellington. This is the description they have on the menu: «Tender Chicken Breast and Mushroom Duxelle Wrapped in Puff Pastry, Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Asparagus and Truffle Demi.» Sounds amazing right? What came out was NOT that. It was some sauce on the bottom, with mushroom on top, with what looks like a phyllo dough pastry, with chicken strips. Yes, chicken strips like you’d get on a chicken salad. So 1. there’s no wrapping, just piling. 2. the food was luke warm at best. 3. The taste, wasn’t great. Only thing that required any skill is maybe the sauce and the stacking so it doesn’t fall over. $ 26 for that plate of mess was a rip off. Baked chicken breast with a side croissant would’ve been closer to a wellington than that dish was. My friend’s sandwich on the other hand, tasted better, and was the temperature food should be served at. However, the bottom bun was a bit soggy, but at this point, we were just glad that was more edible. I did complain about the chicken wellington but we’re in a rush to catch the game and there’s no time to wait for them to make a second one. And to be honest, I don’t think the second chicken wellington would’ve come out much better. Best part of the whole meal was the fries. The fries were good. Service: You’d think if you made a reservation for a table, there’ll be at least utensils on the table. Not only were they non existent when we sat down, it’s still not there when the food arrived. I asked for a set but took longer than I’d like to get to me, so after staring at my food, watching it get cold(er), I decided to just walk over to an empty table and take a set. The waitress was nice, didn’t really checked back on us about our food til I was about a quarter way in. Good: As mentioned, fries were good. Beer was good and it was cheaper than what you would’ve paid inside the game so grab a full one before you walk over. So if you just stick with fries and beer, you’re ok. Wouldn’t come back for dinner before the game again, would advice anyone else I know to go elsewhere for food as well.

Well my experience at the Blue Sky Grill started like any other. The wife and I had arrived early for the Avs game and wanted to grab a bite to eat. We stopped in a little after 5 and got on the list.10−15 min later we got a table and ordered drinks. 10 min later we put in our food order after an explanation that the computers were down and it would be hand written tickets. Now the problems start. Everyone seated after us in our area got their food first. Ours finally came out 45 min after we ordered with profuse apologies from the server. Not too bad but annoying. The food was pretty good, overpriced but hey, we were at the Pepsi Center! After watching the Avs win we go home and the REAL problems start. Two words: food poisoning. I haven’t been this sick since consuming under cooked chicken wings on a Boy Scout camping trip 12 years ago. In essence, I won’t be back.

A friend of mine turned me on to this place INSIDE the Pepsi Center. I have yet to try any of the food, but it’s a good place to grab a drink before you head in to the game, concert, or miscellaneous special event. The place is usually packed pre-event, but the staffing is adequate and getting a drink has never been an issue. I recommend hitting the smaller bar, to the left as you enter, for a reduced wait time. There is also adequate indoor and outdoor seating if you are able to find a table for a pre-event nosh. My favorite thing about the BSG is that you can essentially wait in line inside on colder nights. There is an entrance to the Pepsi Center that allows you to bypass waiting in the frigid outdoor setting.

Pro Tip: You can get a beer to go and take it into the pepsi center, and they have their own ticket tackers thru the back! WOOT! That alone gets them the 4 star rating! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful! We had dinner once and drinks and desert once — so far — but we have season tickets to the mammoth… so i see more in our future! Dinner was meh. Food portions were small for what you got — bit i figured i was paying for the convenience of being connected to the pepsi center! There are other things that look tasty and i might give them a try. We had eaten lunch at a weird hour so were not super hungry this last visit, so we bellied up to the bar(as others have said, if you intend to eat dinner, make a reservation). We didn’t see any appetizers that looked super appealing so we went with the donuts. Yummy! All in all, the ability to get a beer to go will keep me coming back, and the staff makes it a fun and enjoyable experience! Cheers!
