Yum! Always come here for 2 for 1 pizzas — it’s a great deal and almost never too packed to grab a seat quickly. Servers are almost always attentive and kind. Food comes out quickly, too! I love their salads — the kale salad I had a while back still lingers in my mind as one of my favorite salads I’ve ever had. The pizza selection is great, with quality toppings, and again — never ordered one I wasn’t satisfied with. They have a pretty extensive drink menu, too — and a nice happy hour. I definitely come here for the specials — it is one yummy pizza joint!

This restaurant had great food(not bar food). I had a great pasta dish, the pizza my friend got was very good. Everything was very nice. Still, it’s a sports bar, it was extremely loud and some of the patrons apparently decided that loud wasn’t enough and were even louder than that. Add to this, they actually have Skee-Ball in the restaurant(really, guys what were you thinking?) So, if you don’t mind the noise, the food is great. There is a little parking and the rest is on the street. It does have big screen TVs and I am sure that on important sports days it’s very crowded so you may want to check the sports schedule(I never know what’s going on in sports) before you show up. We had only a brief wait on a Thursday night but did have to park on the street.

This is my favorite place in Sunnyside! I’ve been here for lunch and dinner and always have a good experience. Their menu is great — solid pizza choices and delicious entrees. My favorite is hands down the Ziti. Their salads are actually pretty good too and perfect for a light lunch. Some of the servers/bartenders there are odd but I’ve never had a bad experience. Probably the best thing about Ernies is their rotating tap list. It actually changes seems like every time I visit and the selection is always generous!

My family goes here every Christmas Eve as our little tradition. Without fail, the service is always friendly and prompt. Plus, they have a really great selection of draught beer and they are always pretty knowledgeable about the selection so they can help you pick something out if you’re feeling indecisive. The pizzas are really good, with an awesome crust. Seriously, I don’t understand how some people don’t eat their pizza crusts here, because I look forward to them. The parking lot can be a bit of a pain, since it’s pretty small, but, hey, at least they have a parking lot. Also, the last couple of years they seem to have been dealing with some external sewage problems around the restaurant. Nothing inside, but you can sometimes get an unappetizing whiff of sulfur entering or exiting the place. It’s not awesome, but I don’t know if it’s something they can do anything about or not.

I can say with an honest heart this is the worst pizza I’ve ever tried, ever. Including the cardboard box off brand stuff at Walmart. It was awful I mean terrible. Gross pizza go away– service was stellar though. They did charge me $ 1.00 for a side of marinara too. I beg to never ever be forced to see that pizza again.

Very nice pizza joint, went here for a date with my wife. We had the calamari appetizer, which was nice, but the sauce was stunning. We got the two for one pizza deal, where in a hilarious turn of fate, I got the most expensive pizza the restaurant had, and my wife got the cheapest. They were both good, thin crust pizzas. Service was good but not exceptional, beer selection was slightly above average, prices were fair. If I was local, I’d be back regularly.

Sunday is the ideal day to come here. I have tried most of their pizza. It was huge and super delicious. Calamari is pretty tasty. I highly recommend the Sausage pizza, because this is my favorite dish here. Be wise enough in selecting draft beers, sometimes you could pick the wrong one that doesn’t complement with your dish. It would be better, if you ask the staff to be guided about your drink.

Good food and good service. They have a great house red wine made specifically for them. Prices are quite reasonable. Good atmosphere. Only issue is they leave large windows open on patio and people smoke out front of the restaurant.

Solid neighborhood bar & restaurant. Come with an appetite, its more like a… enjoy a couple good beers with your slice than a straight drinkers bar type of place. The antipasto plate appetizer is the total sleeper on the menu. Especially at late night happy hour when it’s half off. That between two people and a couple of beers and you’re plenty full without feeling gross for ingesting a bunch of grease. Whiskey is Ernie’s liquor of choice. They have an impressive selection, along with a solid rotation of local beer on their taps. Sour beer fans will leave this place smiling. For some reason their pizza tastes better by the slice than the whole pie. I wouldn’t run all the way across town to hang out here, but if you’re nearby you’ll find a good meal, cold drink, and pleasant company. Seems like it’d also be a good first date place. Quiet enough to hear each other, and skeeball if that conversation isn’t as good as their pizza.

Ernie’s is a great neighborhood spot to get a beer, enjoy a happy hour, or a meal! I’ve been for just snacks and drinks as well as for dinner and have been impressed with both situations… Last night my fiancé and I went for dinner. I got the steak sandwich with pumpkin soup which were both to die for and my boyfriend got one of their pizzas — he was very pleased — and know that pizza is his favorite foods!

Tried this place for the first time tonight and I wasn’t disappointed. Great laid back ambience and amazing food! Every one of the staff members was very polite and friendly. We started off with the house salad and it was exceptional. They use a great blend of greens and olives and place the onions on top, if you don’t want them. We ordered a 20 inch pepperoni and black olive pizza and it fed 3 with 2 slices left over. We probably could have finished it because it was delicious but we decided to save two pieces for later. If you go on your birthday they give you a $ 20 bar tab! We are definitely coming back.

Ernie’s has got that unpretentious neighborhood pizza joint/bar thing going on and I can definitely appreciate it for that. The parking lot was busy but we got patio seats right away on a Thursday night and good thing, because we were HUNGRY. We split two individual pizzas — meatball and Veggie Delight — and both were delicious! I think there was a miscommunication between our server and myself because I meant to order the meatball, ricotta, olive pizza but received just a plain meatball one. I didn’t even notice until I got home so clearly, the plain meatball was still very good. Service was quick and pleasant and though my husband wished his whiskey-infused cocktail had been a little heavier on the whisky, I liked it. Glad to have finally tried(and enjoyed) this pizza joint so close to our house!

This place is just OK. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the patio has plenty of room to hang out. We had a team meeting here and I felt bad for my boss(who had to pick up the tab) because the food was so very expensive! I could understand if the quality of the food was high, however I found most of what I and my co-workers ordered to be uninspired and served cold. Having said that, if you go here, have a beer as they have a ton on tap and offer lots of specials. If you order anything, I would suggest the cal zones as those actually look pretty tasty and come out piping hot!

I enjoyed my Ernie’s pizza last night. Why do you ask? Because it was New York-style, and made with prosciutto, goat cheese, and onions. It was a salty-savory-chewy-tangy slice of heaven. I am looking forward to our leftover slices tomorrow! As for the service, it was really good. Our waitress didn’t fuss when we ordered happy hour drinks one minute before it was up and she was attentive. The best part was when I drank all of my water the manager came by to provide refills and fill-in with other tables. I thought that was nice. Ernie’s is a great neighborhood place, but their pizza really wowed our tastebuds!

The ambiance was warm and stimulating, and the food was good. Liked the local vibe. I ordered a martini and it was a really weak pour. Told the waiter… was real cool about it. and he shut me down quick with, «its a big glass, it just looks small, trust me, I’m a bartender.» Yeah bro. I’m with 3 guys that drink – we all shook our heads. Not so satisfied with that customer service. Other than that, the pizza was tasty.

We came in from out of town and stayed with an AirBnB host who recommended this place. We were not disappointed one bit. Great local beer list, great garlic knots, and the pizza was delicious(soppressata, peperoncini). The staff was excellent. The host was friendly, very informative about the area, and obviously likes his job which made us very happy to support Ernie’s. Barkeep/server was chill but very pleasant. We had a great experience.

I can’t believe I waited so long to try this place! I love pizza, and I finally went to Ernie’s for the first time yesterday. They had a great selection of beers on tap. Their menu is huge, consisting of pizza, pasta, salad, sandwiches, and more. On Sunday they have an all-day special: two 10-inch pizzas for the price of one! Both of our pizzas were very good. I will definitely be back!

5 stars for the garlic knots– the best I have ever graced my taste buds with. Little fluffy dough pillows of garlic goodness! Friendly Staff with an upbeat atmosphere. Seems like somewhere I would hang out more if I lived in the area. But those Garlic Pillows of Awesome are going to bring me back for sure!

New to the hood, having this place as the corner bar is pretty great. I’ve only tried a few bits of the food, but the wings have been awesome. They have a decent beer list, and while most feel a little expensive, they do have some great lower-cost craft options that are lighter on the wallet but don’t amount to them dumbing down a beer list. So it’s a pretty good mix. They also happen to have a pretty great whiskey/bourbon list, sort of randomly. The pool table… well that leaves a lot to be desired, especially at $ 1 per play. But it’s a fun place, good staff, excellent place to chill out, with some great HH specials and Geeks Who Drink Trivia on Monday! I’ll be seeing you soon, Ernies… Like maybe tomorrow.
