The staff at Cozy Cottage is always friendly and welcoming. I frequent this place and they recognize me when I walk in and tend to know what I order. It is very cozy as its name states. I really enjoy brunch here, either by myself or with friends, it’s always a great experience!

Everything on the menu can be substituted to be made gluten free! I ordered the Denver omelette, with potatoes and GF pancakes. The omelette was great and very flavorful. The potatoes were basic, but still very good. And finally the GF pancakes were good, however, maybe a bit too vanilla-tasting. The price was very reasonable! The substitution from regular pancakes to GF did have a $ 2 charge, which is normal. The service was very friendly with quite the characters working there. I will say sometimes it seemed the service was a bit slow, but it was a busy day at a busy time. I will be back and I would recommend this place to anyone, especially those with gluten allergies.

I have eaten at Cozy Cottage several times, it always seemed like such a good value, but the last time I went We had asked if We could switch out the pancakes included in our breakfast for the pumpkin pancakes they had on special. When I got the bill she up charged me 3.00 extra per plate. Not sure what happened there? I think the waitstaff at least should have the curtesy to tell a person of the extra charge. So their value breakfast ended up costing me and my guest 26.00 we did have a carafe of French press as well. And be warned the parking around the place is very tricky, if you park in any residential, I along with 4 other cars were parked on a street sweeping day, like they are really going to sweep at 10am in the morning… pft! So this meal cost me another 50.00

Loved this place for breakfast! Brought my family here from out of town and they loved it. No longer waits like some brunch places I’m Denver. Great, fast service and the food was delicious.

This place is exactly what it sounds like, incredibly cozy. The food was amazing, the salmon benedict was one of the best I’ve had. Very reasonably priced. Great service! Our waiter made sure our meal was great :)

My boyfriend and I always go here for brunch! We love it here! The staff is always friendly, but can be a tad slow at times. The food is really delicious and simple. We usually build our own omelets and they come with potatoes and pancakes or toast. It’s very reasonably priced. The outside patio is adorable and the inside is great too because it is inside of an old house. You also get 10% off if you’re a Regis University student. Would definitely recommend for a fast, affordable, and cute breakfast spot!

Came here for the first time on the 5th of December around 10am. There was not that much people yet. We only waited like 5 min to be seated as a group of 3 and two kids. We decided to come here because DJ berkley was already really full by that time, so this was our second option to try out and we loved it! Everyone was so sweet when you get in their! We had a good first experience with them. They were great on customer service. My sisters order took a while to come out so the waitress who attended us discounted her plate off our receipt for that delay. And the food was so good! The french toast and benedict hammy is what I recommend. I will definitlet be back here again with my husband so he can try it out.

Folks You are over doing it. Too much paprika on the potatoes, the oatmeal is overpowered with cinnamon, vanilla, half a bag of nuts. The sausage is crap. Too big and greasy. Here’s a suggestion, go back to simple, let people add their own spices(salt and pepper) to the potatoes. Loose the paprika. Just serve simple oatmeal with the sugar, raisins, cream on the side. Loose the big blocks of spicy lard you serve as sausage and maybe bring in some excellent sausage like Boulder Sausage. Learn how to do a proper French Press while you are at if. It was thick as tar and tasted chalky. Your regular coffee was better. You are trying too hard and over doing it. Simple is he key, let the food talk for its self.

Ate here for the first time this summer out on the patio and it was quite delightful. HOWEVER we returned last week and dined inside. Shortly after being seated we were set upon by hordes of flies, they were landing on the table, on our food, we looked about and discovered there were half a dozen or more flies hanging out on literally every one of the window shades. After a few minutes two flies that were copulating dove into my partners tea and drown themselves. The wait person was kind enough to replace the tea but no real apology. We managed to finish off breakfast one handed while using the other hand to keep the flies at bay. When our waiter brought the check I mentioned to her that the management really, really needed to do something about the fly issue. She said she would talk to the manager about it. When she returned there was something that sounded a little more like an apology and she stated ‘The manager says when they close each day they do the best they can to get rid of the flies. Diners beware!!! Much though I’m well aware that flies like to come indoors with the advent of cooler weather have have NEVER seen the amount of flies as witnessed here in ANY eating establishment ever, in fact I’ve been in dairy barns with fewer flies. The flies aside, whereas in most establishments the owner or manager would personally make an apology instead even though business was obviously quite slow the apology came via our wait person BUT the charges were taken off our bill for the tainted tea. BFD!!!

Terrible food. I think a gas station has better coffee than Cozy Cottage. Ordered eggs, sausage, and grits. Just wasn’t good. The sausage didn’t even come out with the rest of the food. I got it at the end of the meal and it was the worst sausage I’ve ever had. My husband also didn’t like his meal. We ate about a quarter of the meal before deciding it was too bad to finish and left.

How did I not know about this place? Thank you Unilocal!I went here the other day for brunch and it exceeded my 3 criteria, price, atmosphere and food. It was such a nice day out we sat out in the patio. There’s a bunch of seating with the garden vine feel with a fountain. I came at noon and we got the last table outside so I would recommend calling for a reservation. We looked at the menu for 15 minutes trying to decide what to get there were so many good options. IMPORTANTNOTE: I overheard the waiter telling someone they don’t serve alcoholic drinks but you can bring your own! She said they have oj and champagne glasses you just have to bring the champagne which probably makes it cheaper. I got the pulled pork Benny which was so unbelievably good and my breakfast date got the special which was apple spice pancakes. We agreed we needed to go back to try other things because we wanted so much stuff on the menu. For two entrees and two juices my bill was $ 45 with tip. Not bad! You have to check this place out! Also there were dogs on the patio so I assume they are allowed if you want to bring the pooch

I’ve been to Cozy Cottage several times, but somehow haven’t reviewed them yet. After several previous restaurants couldn’t make this space work, Cozy Cottage has been going strong for a few years(hope I didn’t just curse them). I’ve been there on my own, with family, and even my nephew. Rarely crowded, never empty(even at 10 in the morning on a Wednesday). Their pancakes are great, and huge(I should definitely NOT have eaten all of them). I’ve also had some good omelettes, crepes and other things. Never been unhappy with my choice. If I had to guess, I’d say they have twice as many tables outside as in, so unless they squeeze in some extra indoor tables in the winter, so you might be more likely to have a wait. But go when it’s nice out. Sit outside. Watch the squirrels and the people, enjoy the patio and the garden, the food and some time with your friends. I’m pretty sure your day will be better for it.

The Cozy Cottage is a decent summertime breakfast/brunch place. The expansive outdoor patio is beautiful and the service is friendly, attentive and prompt. The food unfortunately is average in quality and taste. My fried potatoes were undercooked and not well seasoned, and the green chili that smothered my Southwestern omelet was bland and not even a hint spicy. The breakfast sausage was loaf style and not very appealing in taste or texture. However, the bacon was outstanding and their gluten-free pancakes are delicious. I’m giving this three stars because of the food, but the service and atmosphere earns 5 stars. The host was welcoming, friendly and promptly seated us. Our waitress did a fantastic job– she was kind and attentive.

I came today for brunch with a friend, and we sat outside. I enjoyed the pretty patio, and even though it was busy, we were seated within 10 minutes of arriving. The menu looked great and the descriptions were wonderful! Unfortunately, the food did not taste as good as the menu sounded. I got two eggs over easy, potatoes, and two of the pancakes of the day on the side – almond poppyseed. It sounded delicious! Well, the eggs did not taste very good and were cold, and the potatoes were hard as they were not cooked all the way, soggy, and not good. The pancakes tasted like regular ordinary pancakes with the slightest, I mean ever so slightest sprinkling of poppy seeds mixed into the batter that you could see if you looked closely and maybe a pinch of almond slices on top of the pancake that seemed like more of a garnish rather than part of the pancake. Service was extremely slow — I was only able to refill my coffee once because service was so slow, yet we were there for about 90 minutes.

I agree with the guy who said the food is plentiful and adequate in quality, dependable, not stellar. I disagree with those who say the seating is limited. The inside room seats 50, maximum. There are five booths, one of which is designed to seat four, all of which COULD seat four. One eight-top table, four or five 2-tops, the same number of 4-tops. So, yeah, technically there are eight-ish tables, but there are also booths and a large table. So, 50 places to sit. The patio is large, though only useful in season. My breakfast hash with eggs and pancakes was okay. Eggs cooked as I asked for. A tiny bit of gristle in the hash, plus one hair, maybe a short beard or moustache hair. Not that appetizing. Pancakes could be eggier and more buttery(I am spoiled. My homemade ‘cakes are full of eggs, vanilla and real butter, plus fresh, not powdered, buttermilk.), but they bring real butter to put on them and heated syrup, a plus. Attentive and thoughtful server.

This place is cozy. Family friendly. Pretty busy on weekends. They move through tables fast. We were fourth on the wait list and waited maybe 10 mins. Lots of tables and good space for groups or parties of two. Colorado and wildlife photos on the walls. Service was friendly. Great breakfast spot. We had the Mexican Benedict, veggie eggs skillet, special pumpkin pancakes and all were very good. They have almond milk lattes. Coffee standard drip coffee. No liquor license.
