After trying four other shops on Tennyson over the past year and a half, I’ve definitely found a home here. Nothing against those other shops, as there are some great people working at many, and I respect all of the owners, but in the end it’s about the haircut, and Diana (among others, I’m sure) knows her craft.
I don’t have the easiest do, with competing cow licks and extra thick (half) Asian hair. But she does a fabulous job, and really talks through what she thinks would work best with those complications.
Great atmosphere, not at all aggressively hipster, just welcoming. They also have a barbershop concierge, of sorts, who just keeps things running smoothly. Wish nothing but the best for this place!
(By the way, I also wrote about less positive experiences at other local shops if you’re trying to make a choice…)

Still 5-​star service, but I wanted update my review. Since my last review I finally had my first dark beer here… so kudos on expanding the selection of what beer is available to customers. Also, I know customers have a lot of choices of where to get a hair cut, but you get an experience at Spruce and not just a haircut. And on top of it all it seems like employees are paid a living wage; that may cost me more, but I feel better knowing that I’m supporting a business that takes care of its employees.

Diana cut my hair last Friday and I could not be happier. She not only took her time and made sure I was happy with the finished product, but also pointed me in the direction of a hair product that’s making my hair look great. The staff is awesome and I would really recommend this place to anyone who appreciates a good quality hair cut, and great clothes. This place is really is a one-​stop-​shop for men.

I’m in love!
It’s cute, it’s hip, it’s filled with an incredibly friendly staff who are as fun to chat with during a cut as they are good at their job.
It doesn’t really matter what kind of cut you’re looking for, you’ll be able to get it here, and it will look great.
They’ve got a smattering of hip clothes, if you’re skinny and in the market for some new threads, with some fun accessories to boot.
But at the end of the day it’s hard to beat a place where people know your name and hand you a beer when you walk in the door. It’s my absolute go-​to for my mop-​top manscaping.
Visit Spruce! You’ll love it.

This place is great! The clothing available is great and Spruce offers such a unique shopping experience. The fitting rooms offer several different lighting options so that you can see what each article will look like in each desired setting (beach day, office, bar/​club, hike etc.) It really must be experienced to have a true understanding of how cool it is. The service is awesome, their whole crew is super friendly. Plus, anywhere you can play Nintendo games while you wait to get your hard part is A-​OK with me :) Awesome place!!!

Gotta give it up to these guys. I’ve been to Spruce twice now and had awesome experiences both times. Had a cut with Dane the first time, then Diana the second time. Very happy with both. Much more enjoyable experience than going to the other barbershop down the street, that I will not bother mentioning here. Nice people, cool place, great phone app for scheduling. Will be going back for a long time. Thanks guys.

Went there for the haunted house this weekend. Hands down the best best best haunted house I have ever been to. I loved their concept of using Virtual Reality to get the heart racing and the adrenaline pumping. If you missed it this year, you better ask the owners nicely if they will do it again next year.
Outside of Halloween, Spruce is the place for your gents to go to get some great quality clothing and accessories while getting your hair did or your beard trimmed. My husband loves this place when I make him shave his beard off and he loves the clothes. I have never ever seen him go into a clothing store-​independent or corporate– and like/​love/​need/​want multiple pieces… until Spruce came along. Go there… seriously…go!

If you are wanting a modern and clean cut Spruce is the place to go. Friendly and welcoming staff, You are sure to be taken care of. Spruce has been made with fine details. the longer you walk around the more you appreciate what it has to offer. «The Ultimate» is, well… the ultimate. Pretty much a day spa for men. You can’t help but have an a grin from ear to ear after walking out of being «Spruced» up. Diana you rock!

I’m in sales which makes committing to a hair appointment somewhat difficult. One of my favorite things about spruce is the ability to book an appointment on my phone a few days before! There is even an option to tell the stylist how much you feel like talking! The staff is amazing, the clothes are amazing. I can’t f*&^ing stand asking for a pair of shoes in my size to find out they’re out, its like asking a girl out and finding out she’s got a boyfriend, or that she’s not into married guys? All avoided at Spruce, seriously, this is my first non food review, check it out!

Spruce is the bees knees. If you are looking for stylish clothes, a fresh shave and haircut, and by far the coolest folk in the west you can’t beat Spruce! Please visit it is amazing. I stopped in Spruce last week searching for a friend’s birthday present and all I have to say is this place is AWESOME! I can’t wait until they open a store just for women! The clothes are fresh, the vibe is really dope and the staff is super friendly. If a guy walks out of Spruce looking fresh, I would definitely stop by and see if he want’s to grab a coffee. :)

I created an appointment on the website, but was told that it did not go through once I arrived. They told me to return at a later time. Upon arriving then, they were busy and not able to give me a haircut. Regardless of how good their haircuts are, I frustrated at how I was unable to get one at all, especially after making the effort to show up multiples times. If you wish to end up getting your hair actually cut, I’d recommend somewhere else.
