This place is now called Le Crema Café and they still have delicious crepes and big wooden tables. Hooray!

This is a great little café on 44th. We were pleasantly surprised when we realized this spot was within walking distance from our new house. Moving from a different neighborhood we were hoping we would find a new little breakfast/lunch place. It’s easy to get comfortable here. It’s a nice open space with large wooden tables and has a very warm and rustic feeling. The menu is very nice, all the usual coffee shop treats with a hipster sort of vibe. Which I don’t mind as long as it’s not in a can. Can you say plus one for crepes? Savory or sweet? Pick your pleasure. They also have many sandwich options to choose from. This is a nice café, that I’m happy to have in the new hood.

Again with my tour of coffee places in Denver, I decided on Café Café based on the fact that I knew it had food and I was starving. I made the right decision. I had read about the crepes, but when I walked in I saw a few sandwich options that had my mouth watering(plus they had a few bread/baked good options). I opted for the«Argenito Pork Sandwich» — it was delicious. It was a good sized sandwich, served warm, with nice thick cuts of pork, greens and a chimichurri sauce. You can choose roasted potatoes or pasta salad as a side. I opted for the potatoes, which were good, but it seemed like a really small amount. Still, given the heft of the sandwich, I was happy. My friend got a crêpe, and her plate looked just like the pictures — it was huge. That and the fact that both our coffees were good made this place a clear win for the afternoon. As for the space, if I lived closer, it would be my new home office away from home office. Several large wooden tables filled the room(dining room sized tables for 6 – 8), with smaller tables around the walls with a few outlets, and there were large windows letting in tons of light. My friend brought her daughter, so while not something I normally look for, I know this place also had a few high chairs available. Service was a little slow, but there was only one woman working the counter and making the food, so it’s not like she was taking her time — she just had a lot to do. The music also brought it down a little. I don’t think it was a radio station, but all the music was definitely 80 and 90’s adult easy listening(e.g., Gloria Estefan, Aaron Neville & Simply Red). So overall 4 stars — come for good food & coffee in a nice space, but just bring your iPod.

Also named La Crema café. This café is a great place to start your day off. I met some colleagues here this morning(yes, I worked on a SA) and we thought the café was cute, comforting, and creative. I ordered a bagel sandwich and really enjoyed it. If you use WiFi here, know that there is only one outlet(have your battery full charged.)

I love North Denver. Its really where Denver lives. NoDen has more culture and history in its pierced earlobe than everything south of Hampden combined. So its always nice to find a place that has that great feel. With a local mechanic across the street and the obligatory Mexican restaurant on the corner, it screams local. This coffee shop serves Nova coffee which gives a bonus star regardless of what else happens. And my drink and service were great. The sunny interior, distressed hardwoods without the trite used couch made it a nice visit. A name change may be in the works as hand printed signs seem to cover some of the Café Café signs inside. Regardless, I suggest and recommend — if nothing else for the polite and generous service I received.

I guess I’m on a crêpe kick lately, I can’t seem to get enough. That being said, this place busts out a mean crêpe. I’m normally a fan of a savory crêpe, but for some reason I opted for their True Blueberry, I believe it was called, and oh my goodness, what a pocket of deliciousness they served me! There was cream cheese, blueberry, whip cream heaven on a plate before me, and it took all my strength to resist stabbing my friend with my fork when she helped herself to a bit of my breakfast. I’m not normally prone to violence, so I knew that this had to be a darned good crêpe. The folks working the counter took a second to warm up, but once they did I had a near perfect experience. I love the Novo coffee, and after all of the small restaurants I’ve been haunting lately, it’s nice to have a little leg and elbow room.

I went in this morning and ordered 2 bagels and cream cheese to go — not toasted or anything. It took over 10 minutes and they were not even busy in the slightest. Service is so-so. No one is over friendly or attentive here.

This coffee shop is right around the corner from where my friends live so we usually wander down here whenever I am in town… Their coffee is great. They brew NOVO coffee which makes for a very smooth beverage. I love their caramel macchiato. Their pastries are not much to write home about but their crepes are great. They have funny names and I had a Greek one of sorts which was really tasty. They are huge and hang over the edge of your plate… mmmhhh. The ambience in the place is so so. Nice wooden tables and so — err — dubious art on the wall. I think it is usually from local artists an is actually available for sale but it is not of the greatest artistic value… The folks who work here are super nice and I really enjoy coming here!

Laura L and I wandered over here during one of my last days in Denver to do some Internetting, coffee drinking, and crêpe eating. It’s a nice space run by really charming people. And they serve gigantor crepes here. I could eat only about half of mine before I got all fulled(or fueled) up. This is easily a neighborhood coffee place. When we were there a man that had some medical problems was also hanging out and the staff knew him very well. You could tell he was a regular that comes back because they put him at ease when he was there. I think that’s an awesome thing for a business to do. So, while the crepes and coffee experience were probably about a 3.5 for me the friendliness of the staff made it an easy 4.

We head here just about every weekend. We’ve tried a couple of the savory crepes, but there tends to be no substance — nothing to make the crêpe stick together… so we’ve opted to share toast, two eggs, and a sweet crêpe. Sooooo gooooood. My bf is a chai aficionado and thinks they have the best(too sweet for me).

The first crêpe I ever ate was a delightful turkey-Parmesan invention from Harley Baldwin’s Cart in Aspen 20 years ago. Since then, a few Creperies have opened here in Denver, but among them, Café Café clearly stands-out. The location is great, the crepes are inventive and delicious, and the place maintains the homey, unpolished feel that makes it the perfect place for a relaxing sunday morning treat. For the money, crepes aren’t the best way to fill a hungry stomach, but when you’re in the mood for a delicious treat, nothing beats Café Café.

This place is great, I don’t recommend going hungover– it’s not that kind of place due to families and other super-productive, healthy-vibes people– but any other time it’s wonderful. The sun shines into the café full of tables big and small to share with a large group or aione. They also have patio sets to sit outside during the non-snowy months. The savory & sweet combo is a good idea(from previous review by Kirsten M.) if you are sharing, but I normally still go for the«vegged-out» bagel which is just not as good when I re-create it at home(tag-team that with the raspberry– cream cheese crêpe). The artwork is interesting and changes frequently and the staff, although not overly bubbly, are consistently pleasant and quick.

I really love the crepes here. But 45 minutes to wait for some crepes on a Saturday afternoon. Just isn’t right. The crepes are huge and tasty. The salmon one is good, it comes with cream cheese. The nutella with almonds and bananas is sweet and yummy. But for me to get a crêpe here again, I’ll place the order on the phone and pick it up in 30 min. I have been twice and still the service just wasn’t up to par.

I’ve upped the star rating since learning not to order coffee here and just make my brew at home(there’s also a Starbucks down on 44th and Fed if you are truly desperate). Here’s an order suggestion — Order one savory(the smoked salmon or ham and cheese) and one sweet and then split them down the middle. Bring your dog, sit outside on the patio, read the paper, and enjoy. Bliss.

I LOVE this little local café. It’s close to my work and such a nice change from Starbucks… Their chai lattes are the best I’ve ever had. I’ve also had many lunch meetings here and it’s a great place to gather. Staff are always friendly.

Cute place in the Sunnyside neighborhood to chill on a weekend morning. The space has an artsy shabby chic look, with local art for sale on the wall. They seem to change the art collection pretty frequently, and the often have some really nice stuff. They have both sweet(like dessert-style) and savory crepes. They also have surprisingly good bagels. I’m an ex-New Yorker so I’m kind of a b*tch about my bagels, but I was pleasantly surprised by their yummy bagels. The coffee gets the job done(i.e., its drinkable and caffeinated) but it usually tastes a little on the burnt side. Overall though, if you’re looking for a place to hang out and read the newspaper(or surf the net – free wifi) on a Sunday morning, you can’t go wrong here. Food is good, staff is laid-back and the neighborhood is chill.

Yum. Super-sized crepes and ok coffee. I had to savor every bite after forking over 20 bucks for 2 crepes and 2 coffees. Ouch. My latte tasted like warm milk. I’m not sure what was up with that. They have a good selection of coffee drinks so next time I’ll have to try something different. Crepes were yummy though. I devoured my strawberry filled crêpe in like 3 bites. It was nice to see they use fresh whip cream. Nice place to chill and hang out as well.

My bruddah recommended this joint just a couple of blocks from where we grew up. He said the food was great but the regular coffee sucked. The Novo sign in the window made me wonder about the coffee so I took a Shot in the Dark(I did) Don’t know if the espresso masks the coffee flavor but the nice big mug went down nicely. Well I had the What-a-Pesto crêpe, the wai-fee had the Breakfast club crêpe and the kid had a Breakfast club bagel. I’d eat either crêpe again but I prefer real deal bagels ala the Bagel Store. The crêpe wasn’t a delicate dessert type but was tasty. My pesto version had a decent pesto and was loaded with nice fresh basil, ham, tomato, and cheese the wife’s Club had ham, chicken, cheese and I believe a homemade(or a good store bought that I haven’t tried) mustard. My ususal MO for breakfast food is to taste it and then ask for the Cholula or hot-sauce-in-residence to spunk up the the ol’ taste buds. Wasn’t required(but I did notice that they have a salsa on the menu so next time I’ll go with something slatherable). Troilo’s 66, the Bike shop, the little AG grocery store are all gone but hey, crepes in North Denver. Who woulda thought?
