Blo Salon & Barbershop

I booked a same-​day appointment with Katelynn (as a walk-​in), and what a wonderful salon! The salon is so cute, and Katelynn is a fantastic stylist! I have naturally curly hair, and she did an amazing job cutting it. She has a great technical eye, and she’s young and hip – and did a great job communicating with me, finding out my expectations for the cut, and delivering a great salon experience.
My curl structure looks great, and my hair is so healthy! I’m so excited to have found a great stylist in my neighborhood!

This review is for the stylist I saw last week, Karen Sterling. It was my first time seeing her, going to Blo, actually my first hair salon experience In Denver and I could not have left happier. It had taken me a while to find a stylist because I was dealing with a bit of hair trauma (sooo dramatic i know!) so putting trust into someone for a big change can be challenging… Karen was super easy to talk to, talked me through everything, was concerned with my comfort and gave me a FANTASTIC cut and style. I left feeling wonderful and delighted to have found such an experienced, talented and kind stylist. I fully plan on continuing to see her… plus she gives a killer head massage during the shampoo!

Very cute and clean salon with amazing staff. Love coming here. Parking is ample and its easy to get in + out. Karen is grrrrrreeeat! She matches your personal background, life, style, age, activities with your haircut/​color. Extremely flexible with days and times. They always answer the phone too! You’ve tried the rest, now try the best.

Walked in tonight without an appointment and Brigette snuck me in because she had a cancellation. I’m so glad she did! I seriously needed help with my style was very little help with providing her direction. She gave me a fabulous new cut and color that I love more than anything I’ve ever had done! Blo is a very welcoming place and I’m so glad I walked in.

I followed the über talented Karen from Salon No Dice and love her new location. She is truly able to understand your hair’s texture and what works best for it. I’ve got really thick, coarse hair and she knows exactly how to thin it out so it lays naturally. The salon is conveniently located right on Broadway and there’s plenty of street parking or behind the building. Love that she’s direct and to the point and means business! So easy to call or text her directly to schedule an appointment! I’ve got the whole rest of this year already booked with her every 5 weeks so she can maintain my roots and tame my head of hair!

No matter where Sarabeth goes, there I will be too, every 4 – 6 weeks for a cut, color or both. I’ve been seeing Sarabeth for over 8 years now and she continues to get better every year. Plus, she lets me dream up crazy hairstyles and then works with me and my knobby ol’ head to make sure that they look good. I’m always getting compliments on my hair!
Blo is a good addition to her resume. The place is bright and roomy and the gals are friendly. Plus, there’s tons of easy parking in this area. BONUS!
I’m not sure how it works for your first appointment, but I make my appointments with Sarabeth directly with her, not the receptionist. I’ve never done it that way before, but since I’ve worked with SB for so long, it’s not too weird for me to text her and set up an appointment.
If you’re in the market for a haircut or color, definitely make an appointment with Sarabeth. She listens and will do what’s right for you.

Blo Salon is a cute clean salon with ample parking but this review is all about Annie Armitage-​Mack one of the best stylists in Denver! You name it and she’ll do a fantastic job at very reasonable prices. She’s been cutting my hair for years and I’ve never left been anything other than happy with the results. She does awesome when I get color also. My point is try her out!!!

Karen is a fabulous stylist! I’ve been going to her for about 5 yrs. and followed her to this salon last year. It’s a bit of a drive for me, but worth it because Karen is really attentive to what I want to do with my hair (even when I’m not communicating it well!) I’m always happy with what she does and she’s great to talk to-​making the time go by quickly. The salon has a great atmosphere as well.

I’m super picky about my hair. It’s curly, I can never actually decide what color I want, so i’m sure I’m a pain to a stylist. I had an appt with Karen Sterling… I will never go to another stylist, I have found the «one», if you will. The cut was perfect, my curls looked awesome, and she is unreal with color. I probably gave her the worst explanation ever of what color I wanted, and she came up with exactly what I was hoping for. Not to mention my hair feels in better shape than it did before I went in. Usually with color it jacks up my curls, feels dry. Not this time! Karen worked a miracle on my hair. I feel like I have my own look again. Client for life :) Thanks Karen!!!

I followed my stylist, Karen Sterling, from her salon (See Salon No Dice) to Blo. Karen has always been spot-​on with not only my hair care, but my mom’s as well. She is easy to talk to, which I love as I’m a talker! The atmosphere at Blo is great — seems like a great group of ladies working in there, so I have been really satisfied with her move — love the décor, etc. I’m probably moving this summer and am already planning my budget for coming back for my hair appointments every 6 weeks! When I moved to Denver it took me 6 years to find that special someone that was able to get my Blonde right! Thanks, Karen!

Blo is AWESOME! Best service I have ever had in Denver!!! Holly rocks out my hard to handle hair every time. Gaila and Jessica can style like no other! Yep… Blo has the best makeup artist too Ally! I could go on and on about this place. We all need to look our best and Blo will make it happen!

Gaila is an absolute genius when it comes to hair. I love how she listens to exactly what I want done and just makes it a million times more amazing than I could have dreamed. I tell ALL my friends to harass her as much as I do.

Gaila ruppel is a hair ninja! She can make your hair into a piece of artwork. I wouldn’t dream of going to another hairstylist. Don’t book with anyone but Gaila!

Annie gave me a great hair cut and the best head massage of my life. I’m totally going back for more of that!

I had really high hopes for this salon based on the reviews, but unfortunately didnt have a positive experience.
I called about getting my hair extensions re-​done and had a very difficult time getting the extensions stylist to return my calls. After trying for over a week to get my extensions ordered I finally decided to just go to the salon in person. When I arrived for my 10 AM appt I was surprised to see someone else in my stylist’s chair… When I asked about it, the stylist laughed and said she must have mixed up my appt time. I agreed to wait until she was done… Which was about 30 minutes later. Very frustrating to wait that long for a 5 minute consultation.
The day of my appointment was equally disappointing… The extensions were not the right colors based on what I had explained that I wanted and when she tried to tone some of them they weren’t dry or conditioned before she tried to put them in my hair. I ended up spending the majority of my appointment drying and conditioning my own extensions so that I didn’t end up getting charged for 6+ hours of her time.
What I found most frustrating was my stylist’s lack of concern for my dissatisfaction with her service. I expressed how upset I was and how I had paid her wayyy too much money to be dissatisfied, but all she would offer is to put another toner on my extensions later on in the week. It was completely unacceptable. I won’t be returning and I am disappointed to have thrown money away in going to this salon.

Eliza is my hairstylist. I love her and the super cute salon. I have dark brown hair and love to be blonde and she is the only one so far (i have had a lot of different hairstylist) that has been able to get the blonde I want. I swear I could go platinum, LOL. She is fun to talk to and I look forward to getting my hair done every time. I leave feeling beautiful.

Gaila is also my stylist and she is the most amazing person ever!!! I am extremely picky and I would never think about going to anyone else! She specializes in vivids and has done wonders!
