Don’t advertise that you deliver on Unilocal if you don’t deliver. No longer interested in trying your establishment.

Worst Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. First, the order wasn’t correct, they forgot two things off my order! When I called, I was told I only ordered steamed won tons, not won ton soup and steamed won tons! Really? Well, I paid for both, as well as the Chicken & Broccoli dish that didn’t make it into the bag. One bite of the shrimp lo mein and that was in the trash! It had a horrific burnt taste and the noodles were so overcooked, they were mush! The egg rolls were literally dripping with grease, not eatable either! I will NEVER order from this place again & I hope I help someone else avoid wasting their money… Seriously, $ 40 wasted!

This place needs a serious update. Inside is dingy people are rude and they don’t take debit card. Didn’t even get a change to try the food because they only take cash or check. Really?! Only cash or check get with the times it’s almost 2015. They don’t even have an ATM inside. After seeing the inside and what the kitchen looks like, kind of glad wasn’t able to try it. Definelty will not try placing another order

I recommend a name change from Great Wall to sum dum phuk! because that’s what I felt like after spending 25 bucks on some truly awful Chinese. My last review was taken down so this is a quikie. no delivery, cash only, no atm, etc. etc. I found no authentic flavor in any of the dishes. I have since bought a wok and no longer order Chinese out because of this typical experience. When this review is taken down I’ll write another.

The best thing this place has going for it is the convenience of location for people in the Four Corners/Old Delmar area. Otherwise it is simply mediocre at best. Kingsley’s review of the hot and sour soup is spot on — it is a tasteless, vinegary thickness. Don’t order it. Fried rice is bland also. General tsao chicken, dumplings, shrimp toast, egg rolls are safe bets. No delivery and no credit cards.

I have to say after NEVER having ordered here but living in Delmar for over 15 years, WOW. This place is great! Food is fast but taste excellent! Staff is friendly and it is actually one of the cleanest Chinese Take Out places I have ever been in. Totally recommend.

Best Chinese takeout in Delmar. Been going there since they opened many years ago. Try the Hunan triple crown. A little spicy but just the right amount. Great soup and ribs and the egg roll is not greasy. Worth the drive.

After being out in the Seattle area for a year, I came back to visit my family in Delmar. During the first night of my return, we ordered from here for dinner! Being raised in Delmar for most of my life, I have been in this place so many times, always looking forward to eating there again. It’s a small, hole-in-the-wall chinese take out restaurant in the heart of this quiet suburb of Albany. You wouldn’t expect it to be good but trust me, I have nothing but good things to say about it. The restaurant has been in business longer than I have been alive! So if it has been open for that long, it’s definitely worth going to. The sesame chicken is the best!

This is an old school Chinese takeout restaurant located at the 4 corners of Delmar. The place is order at the counter with open kitchen and self serve table seating for eating in. I’ve been to Great Wall a few times for Chinese takeout over the years. The menu offerings here include the typical Chinese dishes and items including Hunan, Szechuan, and Cantonese dishes. Curry dishes and healthy options available here. The prices here seem reasonable, most dishes priced under $ 10. They offer 26 Luncheon Specials(Mon-Sat until 3PM) served with pork fried rice and soup or soda($ 5.25-$ 5.65). 18 Special Combination Plates($ 6.55-$ 7.50) served with egg roll & pork fried rice are also offered. On my recent visit here, I ordered my favorite C18 Shrimp Lo Mein($ 6.95) with pork fried rice and egg roll for dinner takeout. The food was cooked fresh to order quickly and I had my food order packed and ready to go in under 10 minutes, service with a smile! The lo mein had a good mix of fresh vegetables(sprouts, cabbage, scallions, onions, celery), small shrimp(deveined) tossed with soft noodles. The pork fried rice had a soft texture(just right) with a mix of onions and roast pork cubes(few fat pieces). The egg roll was very firm, filled with a mix of cabbage, ground pork and seasonings. The portion of hot & tasty food was just right for a filling dinner packed into a rectangular foil container. NOTE: Parking on the street and there is also a «very tight» parking lot in the rear of Great Wall(shared with other businesses) which is ideal for passenger cars,

After my 26 years of existence I have yet to find a Chinese Restaurant that can even be compared to the Great Wall. I’ve been eating here for as long as I can remember and every time I do, the diarrhea gets better and better. The staff is beyond awesome. They work hard and are absolutely excellent at speaking English. Your food is done very fast, take-out is phenomenal and the children that work there are as well. The Huang children are always friendly, though quite gassy. They are there to help you. They kind of make me want to kidnap them and keep them in my basement, they’re that enjoyable. The food there is only the best you’ll find! Made with only the finest of ingredients, even though ¾ of the ingredients are unknown. The meats are always tender and keep you full for a good 10 minutes. I can remember one time I was there and this boy with a very large, square head came up to me and said; «Let’s go to Five Guys» and«Can’t spell Elite without Eli» he was immediately scoulded by his parents and I never saw him again. But besides that time I’ve always felt welcomed and invited. Your food is always done in «15 minute» and there’s never a shortage of quality fortune cookies that taste like only the finest cardboard. — Tim

I’ve been to plenty of Chinese restaurants in my day but Great Wall takes the cake. It’s a classy joint located in the middle of town. The furnishings are by no mean lavish; it’s a working man’s restaurant. You can imagine music — la de da de da –Alive and Market Place-y — and violins taking a break up in the air with non-threatening amblings and a wreath of tambourine just lightly jangled… Anyways, the food! As I stated before I am a seasoned veteran of consuming and digesting the delicacy we call«Chinese food»; the latter action tending to be the more difficult of the two. The food is delicious, the Huang family have spent years honing in their culinary skills, and they have mastered the art. The food speaks for itself. Some restaurants you might find a couple strays in the mystery meat, but not Great Wall. Their meats are if the highest quality. The Great Wall encompasses a large variety of traditional cuisines along with recipes with a new flare. The service is great, the Huangs are just genuinely nice people. The Huang children often make appearances in the restaurant, usually hard at work at the register or sitting down to do some homework. It’s always a highlight seeing them in there and watching their faces light up and big grins spread across their homely faces as I hear the shout of «Hello mistah Demers» in broken English. Overall the dining experience is superb and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

This is a basic hole in the wall Chinese restaurant that has been around for decades. It’s one of the few open on Christmas, and the food and prices are fairly average for these sort of places. Not a big fan of their Crab Rangoon.

It’ll do in a pinch and when you just need to eat and don’t have the energy to go anywhere really good or make something yourself. The people are very nice, accommodate your special requests, and get everything ready quickly. Your best bet is to go healthy and ask for steamed vegetables and tofu with garlic sauce on the side. The only downside is that they don’t have any eggplant.
