The food quality has went down hill over the years don’t waste your money just drink the beer and leave

Absolutely, positively, indisputably okay. My girlfriend’s parents live out in Delafield and we used to really enjoy going to the Brewhaus, especially when other family and/or friends were in town, but we haven’t been in awhile. The truth of the matter is that this place LOOKS great. From both the road and the nearby freeway, it looks like a beacon of fun and togetherness that is just waiting to create fond memories of an evening filled with beer and food. Inside is a similar vibe as well. There are televisions for sports fans, but not so many that it loses its feel as an actual restaurant rather than just another sports bar. The beer is great and I love all the variety that they have. Where they lose me, and I imagine many others, is the food. It’s just not very good. The burgers are honestly worse than a lot of places that I don’t have very high standards for, like Applebee’s. The appetizers are okay, but once again, nothing special. The pizzas are poor, the fish fry is also mediocre. There’s just nothing positive to say about the food. I feel like the best strategy for enjoying the Brewhaus is getting a group of friends or family together, going out and having a good time, having a few of their good beers in their fun environment, and then having a few more beers to the point that being drunk allows you to enjoy the food. Overall good, but not special.

We recently moved to the area and decided to give this place a try, I won’t be rushing back. The space is nice, the brewery inside makes it interesting and their beer was good. The food was standard bar fare, nothing special and overpriced.

This is your average Brew House with nothing to special. Great Beer and good times indeed but the food is just average. I would go here for the beer only and then get an app after you had a few pints. They do have good, live music on certain days which is very fun. Oh yea the cheese curds are worth a try, that’s for sure!

This was a standard sports bar type of place where I attended a post work dinner type of event. Let me put it this way, the item I enjoyed most was the asiago cheese dip, which was delicious. The cheese curds also weren’t bad. I was disappointed with my entrée, which was salmon. First the staff did not get my order entirely right, which I understand happens and that’s ok. The topper was the salmon was very dry and lacked flavor. I would consider going for drinks not dinner again.

This place has become one of our favorite places to eat. My wife and I have been here 5 times in the last 6 months, each time ordering something different. Not only have we always left here satisfied, we usually rave about the food. Service has been excellent each time from every server. I’m not sure what a couple of the other reviewers experienced but I’ve had the fish fry and burger and both were excellent. The burger left me craving another the next day. I guess the worst thing I can say is that I’ve had a better Sunday brunch. But that also usually cost 40% more. I will continue to patronize this business and refer it to friends.

We stopped here on a Friday in late September. Downstairs is very loud, the acoustics are poor. We were thankful that we were seated upstairs! Started out with the deep fried mushrooms and a crock of french onion soup. Both were fantastic! The mushrooms were real and not out of the bag, which was a pleasant surprise! Our entrees were lackluster. Chicken Parmesan and the chicken spinach pizza. All in all, I’d suggest this place as a beer and appetizer location rather than a dinner spot.

They have good beer but the food is so plain and flavorless, good place to grab drinks but definitely not for eating

Stopped in for Sunday lunch and caught the end of the brunch crowd. The deep fried cheese curds were good and the portion seemed right for the price. Our waitress was very friendly and did not rush our social gathering. The onion soup was good but the cheese soup was a bit meh. The walleye sandwich was very good — it almost had a sweet flavor. The chicken wrap had nice flavor though it was spicier than expected. Overall a decent place but nothing I’d rush back to… And oh yeah, we drove right by it. It is hard to spot from the road since it is up on the hill. Keep your eyes open.

Way overpriced and always to loud in the place. The food is just ok but that’s what you expect from an Applebee’s not this place. The food has really gone down in quality

A fun visit if you’re local, but not worth a special trip. The Location A bit of a pain to get to in a big building on a hill back on a service road. Visible from the freeway but takes a bit. Once inside this place is huge with seating in a traditional bar, the restaurant side or a small balcony inside as well. They keep this place clean and well lit and that goes well for it. The Food The pizza and chicken wings are pretty darn good actually, the other food I’ve had over the years falls into a more traditional pub fair. The Service This has been a bit of a let down the last couple times I’ve been here and that’s certainly weighing in on my rating. It’s typically slow, and often times performed by people who are pretty uninformed. My last trip our waitress new nothing about the food or drink specials and pretty much admitted she didn’t eat here. Sad service. The Beer They have talent, but don’t brew a lot of styles I like and tend to stick to the needs of the local«cotton mouths». The bigger beers do tend to carry over a bit of sweetness with styles focusing on Belgians for the same reasons. Typically I find something I enjoy every time, but nothing I love.

Nice selection of beers and a good menu. I have eaten here several time with my family when we are in the area and we have never been disappointed. Waitstaff is always fast and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Now the family always request this as a lunch stop on our way through the area. Worth the stop every time. Cheers.

The stars are up for grabs on this one. We were there for a reception in the banquet hall, so I can’t speak to what it’s like to pop in for lunch. After the reception, I’d expect a sit-down experience to be very good — perhaps I’ll find out someday. For the reception, we were brought down to the banquet hall — a nice, spacious room downstairs away from all the other action. It didn’t feel like a «basement», and it was very nicely done with a full bar, dancefloor, and ample room. The food was okay. It wasn’t as fresh as I would have hoped it would be. The appetizers were all presented in big banquet trays over warmers — just what you’d expect. But, with that, you get that«aging» effect of something that’s been sitting in a banquet tray for a while — kinda dried up and not«fresh out of the oven». That being said, everything tasted fine. I enjoyed the potato skins as well as the meatballs. I REALLY liked the bacon-wrapped water chestnuts — always a favorite! Delafield Brewhaus makes their own beer. For our reception, they had four styles on tap as well as Miller Lite. The Pewaukee Porter was my drink of choice — smooth and tasty! I should have tried the Amber, but I was dialed into the Porter. The other choices were too light for my taste that night. I REALLY regret not heading upstairs to see if I could score a Belgian Quadrupel — I must find my way back to give that a try! The service was fantastic. The bartenders were personable and attentive as well as effeicient. The rest of the staff were like ninjas! Plates were magically cleared without ever noticing — it was amazing. They could clear a table without you noticing and without interrupting conversations — that is a lost art, my friends. As I said, I can’t speak to what it’s like to go in here to sit down for lunch or dinner. My wife noticed on the way in that the food looked«really good». If we were in Delafield more often, we’d probably find a way to get in for a meal. Maybe on the way to a Brewer game this summer? They made enough of an impression that we’ll think of them the next time we’re through the area and needing some grub.

3 or 4, 3 or 4, 3 or 4? It kind of depends what you want from the place. And the Delafield Brewhaus is a bunch of things, not all of which would normally go together. Beer wise(and this is a brewhaus), it’s a three. The beer is just ok. Pretty average, and honestly there are corporate beers I would rather drink. Just put in a bunch of Lienies or Sam Adams on tap. It’s a wood fire pizza place, Big wood fire oven, the pizza is better than the beer, but still not a five. I don’t think they fire it hot enough and the dough is just good, not great. The pizza comes out cooked well, but I like my wood fired pizza with a little char in places on the crust, not just some brown spots. It’s a sit down casual place — it does this pretty well. Good staff, lots of seating, decent atmosphere for what it is. Food is good, at least a four, and varied. They really will serve you a rare burger(five points) if you order it, but sometimes it seems like they forget to use enough salt. It’s a sports bar(sort of) Lots of tv’s with sports on, but the tv’s run small. The bar staff can be very fun, and very sarcastic. If you like your bar staff to be quick and sarcastic, all the while paying attention and keeping your glass full, this place does that well. Five for the staff, Four for the sports bar portion. Plenty of seating — got a big party of 20? They can make that work. Just two of you — thats ok also. In the end, a four because of the sum of the parts. As a Brewhaus — just a three.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch for the first time as breakfast buffet was wrapping up. Started with pretzels which were good but served with«from a bag/can» type orange cheese sauce which wasn’t good. Got a chicken wrap and a Reuben one with regular fries and one with sweet pot fries. Both kinds of fries were flavorless and mostly inedible without tons of ketchup. The sandwiches weren’t so great either but slightly better than the fries. The Reuben came with a gross thousand island on the side, which at first I was annoyed that I had to put it on myself but after I tasted it was glad it came on the side. We ended up taking the second half of both our meals home. I was able to doctor them up at home to make them better but really couldn’t improve the leftover fries. Redeeming qualities were service and beer. I can’t remember the server’s name but she deserves a better restaurant. Also the beer was good, though the printed list was outdated and the two beers I selected from it were not available. If they change more often than they can reprint, maybe verbally listing the beers would be a better option? The only reason I’d ever stop back in is for a growler of beer on the way to Madison or back to Milwaukee.

I ordered a $ 13 hamburger here. It was made of two rather charred 8 oz patties on a buttery bun that couldn’t hold it. The bun tasted great but it damn near evaporated after holding my burger for a minute because the burger was so substantial and the bun couldn’t hold up to it. The burger also came with some cheese sauce on it which was tasty but there was nothing exceptional about this $ 13 hamburger. The fries were good, but again, not exceptional. My guest ordered the margareta pizza and it was another«meh.» It wasn’t bad but the tomato slices were super thick and they were pink, not red. the amount of garlic on this pizza was nice though. Service was pretty lousy. The waiter didn’t check in on us and I had to wait a long time for my one free soda refill because he kept zooming by without even glancing at our table to see I was empty. By the way, what’s up with the limit on 1 soda refill? Lame. Also, when I did get my refill, I got the same gross glass that had food all over it because my burger was so mess. NOTFORGIVABLE! Eeew! Atmosphere is nothing special. I can’t comment on the beer.

The Delafield Brewhaus: huge, tricky to get to, GREASY, but worth it. The Brewhaus rests off the highway, but not RIGHT off the highway. You have to take some frontage roads to get there. So if you’re a local, you’re fine, but if you’re a visitor like me, it can be tricky to navigate, especially at night. This place is enormous. Two floors, plenty of seating. When I came on a weekday night, it was sparsely populated, but I imagine that it gets rockin on the weekends. I ordered the sausage plate and some fried cheese curds. The cheese curds were alright, but not great. The sausage plate was huge. It came with kielbasa, bratwurst, a ton of sauerkraut, peppers and onions and delicious garlic buttered spatzle. It was delicious, but too big, and way too greasy. I would definitely recommend this plate to share. There was a nice balance of salty and sweet, which was needed because the kielbasa was a salt bomb. It was good, though. I wonder if there could be a way to keep all the great flavors but cut out a lot of the grease. Anyhow, check out the Delafield Brewhaus if you’re in the area and like German food.
