Not sure what happened with this place. Hadn’t been in a while so decided to have lunch with the family after my son’s baseball game. He and I ordered a pizza. The waiter brought out parmesan cheese that we both used on our slices. My 11-year-old son looked at me and said«something is wrong». I smelled the parmesan and it was beyond spoiled. So I had to send the 2 slices away and he brought out another container(which smelled slightly better but we avoided). After eating the slice of pizza I immediately started having stomach cramps which inspired me to write this review. Service was ok but I should also mention that one of the plates we received for the meal was very dirty. What a shame. I will never return to this mess…

Really the only option when looking for a sports bar in the area. Lots of great TVs but they did have some problems with the signal the last time we dined there on account of poor weather. While I am a fan of the sports bar atmosphere there is plenty of room for improvement here. While they have wide range of beer choices listed on the menu all they don’t list the beer prices. We find this very annoying. We have to have to ask our server about each one to make a decision. Also, they are often out of the beers listed on the menu. Just when you think you know what you want — nope they are out of stock. Then our complaint is the service itself. The servers are very uninterested in actually providing service. On our most recent visit our waiter walked around looking bored out of his skull yet would never look directly at us. Even when we were calling for his attention he would ignore us. We were there to watch the hockey game we practically had to check him to get any service or refills. The food is fine of average sports bar selection and quality. Let’s face it, you don’t come here for the food. We have only tried some of the appetizers and pizza. Certainly edible but nothing to cheer for.

I went here late at night, and not many people were around. When the waitress came to take our order, we told her everything we wanted correctly! She came back with the incorrect order and they wrote it down incorrectly. This made us wait even longer. Terrible service, but the food was okay. I don’t think it’s a good place to go.

The food is mediocre at best. Had the smoke house sampler. Store bought pulled pork. Burnt ribs and liquid smoke chicken. Frozen corn on the cob over cooked and dry. Onion rings and coleslaw bland. Not even close to the menu description. 22+dollars is just taking advantage of the area the restaurant is in. No self respected chef should put their name to this abomination

I had the Ruben Sandwich. A filling portion of above average quality corned beef topped with kraut and thousand island dressing. I enjoyed the sandwich but had to order an extra side of thousand island because it would have been dry without. The side of tots was also a large portion. Washed it down with a Blue Moon beer which hit the spot. The dining area had plenty of TV’s to catch up on all your sports. The service was mostly good and friendly. One we were done, it took a while to get my tab. The food is good and lots of variety. The prices are mostly reasonable as well. I’m typically nearby so I’ll probably be back. Food: 4 stars Environment: 4 starts Service: 4 stars Value: 3 stars

Great service and everyone is friendly. They have a solid beer selection and I love the wings here. Also, BBQ chicken pizza is real awesome

I went to Trax tonight because was really the only option for a later night bite in the north shore close to home. Food is ok. I had steak tacos and had no flavor what so ever. A friend had a burger and no seasoning nothing. Crowd is the divorcees

If Unilocal had a «Boring Bars» category, this would be at the top of the list. It’s a nice place — lots of tvs, good selection of craft beer, great sports décor, and the food is decent, but the crowd is boring! It’s mostly an older crowd, business execs, divorcees, etc. and they’re really, really quiet. I haven’t been here during any games, but I’m praying the crowd is at least a fraction more raucous when there is a game on tv. I wouldn’t label this as a craft beer place, but like I said before, good selection from light to dark. But they don’t have Jack Fire, just Jim Beam fire and Fireball aka antifreeze, and the JB Fire tasted like Diet Coke. Gross. Not going to go back here, unless I need a really quiet place to take a nap.

IPA selection was pretty good but the veggie burger I ordered was 100% flavorless. If you want to sell vegetarian menu items how about you have somebody taste them before ordering patties made out of cardboard.

Megan the bartender and the kitchen is very accommodating and attentive. Even when my crew is 15+ people large and we arrive right before the kitchen closes, we’ve been treated to great service, and great food. One tell-tale sign of excellent service is getting your water/soda refilled without asking, AND without you noticing. Or maybe I’ve had one too many beers. XD Will definitely return again!

Pros: Good TVs. Cons: Slow inaccurate service. Weird green stuff in cup of mayo. Onions on burger when asked for no onions. No ranch when requested. Waitress’ fake nail ends up on table. Lipstick on new glass of water. Sickening. Gross.

Place is a little rundown for the area, the food is ok, but WAY overpriced. $ 11 for a salad with no meat. I’ve only had three different salads here and appetizers. Fried pickles are yummy, but again, overpriced $ 9. Spinach and artichoke dip is ok, definitely frozen(and $ 10). They also charge one dollar extra for milk with the kids meal … A bit absurd if you ask me. Idk what parent will allow their 2 and 3 year olds to drink fountain soda. So my 3 stars is because this place is completely overpriced for mediocre food and the inside is a bit grungy. 4.5 stars for the staff, have only had an issue once. They’re very nice. The kids love this place as you can watch the trains pass by throughout your meal. Have never been on the patio, so not quite sure how that is. Overall, not a horrible place to grab a quick bite at on your lunch break(or happy hour — I’m sure the drinks are better than the food).

My neighbor recommended this place. Where do I start? First of all, I’m a great tipper. Never less than 20−25%. But when we(my son and I) were being seated, the server Michelle gave a little head shake No. She didn’t want us in her station. Then my pizza was soggy and limp. My son’s dinner was edible only because he’s 6+ feet tall and will eat anything. Haven’t been back. Probably won’t be. Food was mediocre at best. Service was not good. No reason to return.

This is a pretty solid place to grab lunch on a weekday. I headed here with three other co-workers. One was already seated when I arrived. Our waiter came by pretty quickly and took our drink order. To eat, I had a buffalo chicken sandwich with tater tots. Everything was pretty good. How can you go wrong with tots? I had ordered my chicken grilled instead of fried, and I was glad to see it arrived cooked correctly. One co-worker had the lettuce wraps appetizer as her meal, and it looked really good. There was more than enough food to make the wraps into a meal. I would order that the next time I go. It wasn’t super busy, but it was lunch on a weekday. I heard it’s a pretty popular place for after work drinks and dinner, because of its proximity to the train station.

A place I have been going to routinely at least once a week since 2007. Although the menu does get boring at times, we keep finding ourselves right back there every week. The food is good but the service is second to none. The bar is always full and the patio in the summer is pretty sweet. Make sure you are a fan of little kids and lots of them because this is a KID friendly zone ! I would have rated it perfect stars if they were to change the menu more frequently.

I was surprised by the fact that this place was not very crowded! Trax has been around for awhile and it’s quite the hit in deerfield. I came here tonight with my dad and had a great time. We were immediately seated and, even better, the booths have their own tvs! I’ve never seen that. I was so impressed… I sort of felt like an old fart. Anyways, on to the food. The food was just okay. Definitely your typical bar food. I ordered the chopped salad with blue cheese dressing and my dad ordered the grilled cheese. I must say they give large portions which is quite nice! I was shocked when they came to serve us. I literally felt like each plate was family size! My salad was just okay, but hey it’s a salad right? I don’t know maybe I’m just really picky on my salads. You never hear people rave about salads, but the salad at wildfire is to die for. You can call me a salad fanatic. My dad said his grilled cheese was alright. Again, nothing worth raving about. Despite the okay food, I can see why people would come here. It has many tvs and a large drink selection. I’ll admit, I may come back in the future.

Great spot if you like a huge menu with a wide variety of food. Parking is easy at night, but during lunch hour it can be a little hard to find, but luckily they have valet service! The food is delicious! I have gotten, chicken sandwiches, fries, lettuce wraps(that are huge and delicious), s’mores, yup you read it right, s’mores that you can make at your table. You get a burner, marshmallows, graham crackers, Hershey’s chocolate. You can get it for two people or four, which is plentiful. Get the four only if you are with a big group, there’s more than enough to go around. All of their desserts are fabulous, but the s’mores are my fave, because where else are you allowed to have a small open flame at hour table to make a delicious campfire treat?! Service is good. The meals come out super fast. The prices are good for the huge portions you get. The best part is in the summer since they have rooftop outdoor seating. It really feels like you are transported to a different place then Deerfield up there, just lovely. Even if the train goes by its still lovely. If you don’t want to sit in the dining area you can sit at the bar area where you can also enjoy food, and watch games on their many flat screens. Come for the food, stay for the game!

Trax gets mixed reviews on Unilocal, but I didn’t experience the same issues as others. Maybe they listened to us Unilocalers?! I came on a Sunday night to watch my team. The place has a ton of tvs and shows even the more obscure games. We sat down immediately and had a nice view of the Green Bay Packers(even when the Bears were playing simultaneously). Our server came by right away with menus and beer specials. The restaurant is really a hybrid of a bar and a restaurant. I’ve only ordered pub food, but it’s always been good. I ordered the Rueben this last time and it was fantastic. We also ordered the new revolution brew that was on special for $ 4 a brew. Although it is a hybrid bar/restaurant there were tons of families with small children. The restaurant was very accommodating to families. We were pleased with the service, drink specials, food and atmosphere. The attire is very casual, plenty of parking, and an overall fun vibe. I’ll be back.

Good food, terrible service. Ordered food at halftime of a soccer game and got it at room temperature AFTER the game. $ 7 for a beer in the suburbs seems a little excessive as well.
