Nichols is an excellent boutique ski & snowboarding shop downtown Dearborn. They provide top notch customer experience while delivering high quality products to suit both level and budget. The staff is personable and extremely knowledgable. They give you their undivided attention. I reside in Los Angeles but come back to winter in Detroit for a few months every year… yes, I’m allergic to happiness(lol). And this season got back into skiing after many years. Immediately went to Nichols and they outfitted me with EVERYTHING I needed… from Under Armor to the perfect fitting Burton snowboard/ski pants, Smith helmet and goggles, Fischer skis, Tecnica boots… and everything else in between. They stock a pretty descent selection of brands… I wouldn’t mind seeing a tad more variety but again it’s a cozy store and can only hold so much. Also location plays a big part in what sells and what doesn’t. As any skier/snowboarder knows this is a sport/hobby that is not necessarily cheap and Nichols prices are competitive(possibly a tad more than some of the larger sporting store chains) but I would much rather pay the extra to support«local shops» like Nichols who has been established for 60 years. They go the extra mile and am glad to be a patron of theirs. :)

Went here after Dunham’s failed me. I was flying out to Utah in 4 hours and needed goggles, under armour, and a snowboard bag. And I only had 20 mins on my lunch break to pull it off. Luckily the workers at Nichols were very helpful and helped me accomplish all that. Now i feel bad for all the times i parked in their«Nichols’ parking only» section when i went to Cheli’s chili next door.
