It just doesn’t get any better than this. Quality everything. Followed them from Westland. Perfection every single time. Wife an I have had at least once tried everything on the menu. Only problem there would be you if you don’t try it PERFECTION

My favorite place to get sushi in the area. The unassuming location and building shouldn’t scare you off. The prices are fair and you get great portions. Sometimes it’s take out only, which you can eat in the dining room if you wish.

We called aged to ensure they were open at 5pm on a Sunday. We got there and she told us it is for take out orders only. Why didn’t she tell me that in the phone??? So we ordered and waited. The miso soup was good. But that’s about it. We got 4 different rolls. The one with baked salmon on top was disgusting. The Michigan roll was decent. I am not impressed… most of the stuff just tastes off. I have never once not enjoyed my sushi(I’m not picky) let alone not finished eating it. We are throwing it away. New York sushi in Livonia will remain our go to.

Toxic sushi… I’ve been there twice and both times I’ve gotten severe dysentery… This place should shut down.

So, Wasabi lived up to the rave reviews here! I strolled in about 9:15 pm on a Thursday for a carryout: I was in & out in 15 minutes. Sushi was fresh & delicious! My fave was shrimp lovers roll; Michigan roll also… I’ll definitely be returning.

I want to give this place a higher review, but the service is super slow. We stopped in on a weeknight and they weren’t that busy but we still waited nearly 40 minutes for 4 rolls. It’s a pretty small place and had only a few people working. Otherwise, the sushi was delicious and the staff very friendly.

Let me say Wasabi was me and my husband’s first sushi experience years ago when it was in Westland. They are our first and our best place we have ever had sushi. We have been to atleast 20 or more sushi places since in every where from NYC, Tennessee, and now we live in ATL and there had been nowhere better. Had sushi today and made me wish I was home in Detroit. This is our top hometown stop when we comeback to visit. Don’t leave without eating the Michigan roll and calamari tempura roll. Owned by the sweetest most hard working couple… they used to remember our order and give us the absolute best service. Never had a carry out order wrong or had subpar food. This place is highly recommended to anyone.

Really quick service. Spacious parking lot, went around 1 and no one was there, 2 other customers came in during the visit. Some of the kids were loud so I guess it’s a family friendly place. Got the rainbow which had delicious unagi and the baked salmon roll which were both delicious. The only bad thing is they don’t give any ginger, I had to ask for it and so did the guy near me at the bar. I guess since it’s called Wasabi they focus and only give that and you have to ask for ginger, not really sure.

Decent quality but really bare bones offerings. Only sushi(Ngiri and rolls) and sashimi. And for those only 8 or 10 of the most common types of fish for sushi/sashimi. The roll selection is much more extensive. Also has the atmosphere of an old fast food restaurant.

This restaurant actually beat out all my other previous favorites! I really love sushi and go at least twice a month with my best friend. We usually spend quite a lot but this restaurant is both a lot cheaper than normal and a lot better in all aspects. They seem to only have one waitress and one chef whenever we go and the place is really small but don’t let that image fool you! The service sushi and prices are simply perfect here and I make it a point to go out of my way just to go here. The waitress has even started to recognize my friend and I and always thanks us for being such great customers to her business!

Best sushi I’ve ever had and everything was amazing. I’ve had the Black Dragon, sunrise roll, forever tuna, fire island roll, spicy crunch crab roll, basic tuna roll and even the sweet potato roll. I travel a lot and try sushi everywhere I go, Dearborn Heights is lucky to have Wasabi Sushi… I live in Dallas but this place is almost motivation enough to move to Dearborn.

Wasabi is pretty good for the area. Service took forever. Wasabi want that hot. I’m just not very impressed with anything but the price.

Much less claustrophobic than the previous locale. Same taste and quality. Happy visits both takeout and dine in. I like a good junked up roll on occasion(sue me purists and snobs), if you like those you will be in luck here. I also like simple selections like chirashi and nigiri, if you like those too you will also be in luck here. Prices here are definitely fair and the food is consistent and fresh. Good soup and salad and plenty of sushi variety to pick from. They even have decent gyoza. Service is nice. The tea is nice and hot. The overall experience is fairly relaxing and happy. Quite a decent choice if you are in the area :).

For the price worth coming in for done sushi. It’s as good as average sushi places but for less. The house sauce is not something I recommend but everything else is worth a try. I like the rangoon roll. Service is ok and wait is acceptable. Worth coming here.

I would give 5 stars but I haven’t has sushi anywhere else. I brought 5, never ate sushi before, family members to Wasabi at 2 in afternoon to experiment with. We threw ourselves on the mercy of the waitress. Told her we were rookies and she could not have been more helpful. We had«Funky Crab Roll» and about 6 other choices. We ate and then ordered second(smaller) round. Everyone was pleased and most said that it was way better than they hoped.(shows we were sushi rookies) Bill for feast was $ 92. Only bad thing to report was that we dined alone.

Best sushi ever! So fresh! Can’t praise them enough! They’ve started a new tradition for us — «Friday Night Sushi!»

This is my all-time favorite sushi restaurant in the Metro Detroit area. It has left Ronin in the dust. If you’re looking for straight-forward, quality rolls, this is the place. The fish and vegetables have been fresh every time. The ginger salad dressing is phenomenal. The miso soup is just salty enough and features nice, firm tofu. The gyoza are a favorite and a must for every trip. When you ask for masago, you get a ton; not just a few sprinkled on. Some of the best spicy mayo I’ve had — and yes, it’s spicy. My favorite rolls are the Philadelphia, the vegetable supreme(ask for some extra gyoza sauce for this one; it really compliments it nicely), and the spicy crunch California with added masago. So good! I want some now. I often come here from Madison Heights. It’s well worth the trip. This restaurant is always clean and has a wonderful ambiance and décor. It’s very inviting. Eat here.

When I was introduced to sushi, my levels of repulsion were unparalleled. Ewww is the only four letter word that I can use in polite company to describe my first response to sushi. Then a coworker told me it wasn’t raw fish and seaweed that I would lke, but rather all sorts of vegetable delightful things. As we moved around the country doing our work, we tried sushi joint after sushi joint. Some where great, some were less than great. But my enjoyment of sushi grew. Then, one project lead us to Wayne Michigan. Woe unto thee, oh Wayne, for you have lost a jewel. Now Wasabi! is on Ford Road near Telegraph and if you work near the area, you should take a pay cut for the ability to enjoy a little piece of heaven at lunch time. I hate you. Ah, thank you my friend and former coworker, for twisting my arm in that cold, forbidding northern land where you made me gulp down such things as asparagus and roe and plum sauce. I love them all now. But Wasabi! is by far the best. The taste and quality make this a place to travel for. My normal meal consists of the Ginger salad, with maybe Gyoza, Egg Nigiri and their wonderful Phoenix rolls. The Philadelphia rolls and spicy California Crunch are awesomeness personified. The Veggy roll can convert a Texas cattle farmer. The Miso soup is fresh and the tofu is firm. The ingredients are just all around fresh and high quality. And I have never, ever been attacked by a Ninja while in their restaurant. They do a vary good job or protecting me from Ninjas. That is always a plus.
