the lava lounge is actually a nice place to enjoy some good hookah and delicious food, although ive been there about a billion time, i must say. sometimes they have their off days, and things are a bit slow. and the price is ok, not amazing though. pretty expensive if you ask me, but of course good hookah will be.

Came here twice around 6−7pm, both times the waitstaff said all the seating was reserved and that the only place that was open to sit was the outside patio. That would be fine if it wasn’t in the dead of winter, how is the entire restaurant reserved when it was EMPTY! First time this happened I asked if it was for an event and the staff says that individual groups reserved. If Lava is holding the reservations for parties coming in HOURS later, that sounds like a terrible business practice. I asked if I could reserve a table for another day and they gave me the run around about how I have to talk to someone who wasn’t there at the time. Both times I came in it was the same story, this was never the case before so I’m not sure whats going on. On the occasions I have spent time at Lava, the staff was rude or not caring to be there.

I came from NYC to visit my friend and this is the first place she took me too. The hookah is AMAZING and the staff is so nice and friendly. The place is pretty big and can accommodate large parties. They always have great music on so it provides a great ambience. Definitely coming here every time I fly over! Greatly recommended!

employees are very friendly and the food is DELICIOUS! the hookah never disappoints and it’s a perfect place for birthday gatherings! The managers are very classy and definitely know about customer satisfaction. Always feel welcome & comfortable when I’m there! If you haven’t been here before you definitely should check it out!!!

I guess … don’t eat here! That is what I got from the reviews on Unilocal.However — because I did not eat here, I was satisfied with my visit. The waitress was nice, the people around us helped set up the hookah as it did not come with pens attached. I’m spoiled in the fact that whenever I went to a hookah bar in Chicago, everything was attached and you didn’t need to work with anything, just start relaxing. It won’t matter though if you already know your way around a hookah. The minus two stars come from the over crowded place and atmosphere, which was pompous to say the least.

Our server Rizk, was very attentive and nice to us, he did everything in his power to give great customer service, which he did. Although this hookah lounge is towards the pricey side, my friends and I did enjoy our time there.

This was my second time visiting a friend in Dearborn and also my second time visiting the Lava Lounge. First of all, I want to compliment the manager for doing such a great job for taking care of the customers and maintaining a well trained staff. I’ve seen the manager go around from table to table personally asking people how their experience is, which you don’t see very often. Also, I enjoyed our server. He was very sweet and accommodated our needs. The food was good as well; I ordered the barbeque chicken wrap and it tasted just like the chicken was barbecued over the grill. Thank you for such a great experience & I will definitely be back and recommend this place.

Being in Dearborn for the first time visiting a friend, she suggested we try some amazing food at a hookah lounge. Knowing the hookah lounges in NYC, I was definitely against going. My friend insisted, we went.
We were sat down and a waiter came to ask what we liked to drink then took our order. Our food came at a timely manner, which we were thankful for because we were definitely starving.
I ordered the cheese pizza and honestly, it was great! I’m very picky about my pizza and this one definitely was worth it.
Now, for the service. Amazing. Our waiter was definitely so kind. My friend is a klutz and she cannot get her food from the buffet without dropping it. So, the waiter was definitely kind enough to help us and bring to her.
I am a visitor and after the great customer service and food, I wish I could bring the whole lounge back to New York with me.

I didn’t like that they put an 18% tip automatically on my bill… all me and my son got was a hookah and a smoothie… not worth a 7 dollar tip… I decide what I want to tip, not you. They even put our smoothies in a togo cup. I saw people outside with glasses. NOT COOL! Won’t be back! We are not of Arab decent… need I say more.

Everytime I’ve eaten here I feel sick. So crowded and the «sushi» is disgusting. I only go when friends have a gathering there and even then I won’t order anything. Only thing that’s good is the pre-​frozen stuff like fries. Food tastes like packets bought at a GFS or Costco, heated and served. And everyone has their eyes everywhere else but on their table with their company.

Writing another review. After going there again I can’t understand why this place is so busy? The booth we sat in was torn in half, with the upholstery coming undone so we asked to be moved to the couches and those were beaten up just as bad if not worse. You get the feeling of dirtiness because the tables and booths always have left over crumbs and smears from the PPl that sat that before you. The service was horrible. I had to ask my waitress for menus, and sides multiple times with my meal. She later on apologized and said she had a rush but we were there around noon and noticed there were only a few other tables around us. The food was bland, the salad had no taste. They charge $ 1.50 for water as well. Per bottle. I would give a review on the hookah but I didn’t smoke that time around.

The atmosphere is nice, hookah is great, sushi is amazing. But this place is so overpriced.
I came here during Ramadan for iftar, there Buffett was like $ 16 I believe, they had lentil soup, pasta, chicken legs, rice, salad, and galaba drink. It did not taste good, and the Buffett area was small and unorganized. So if u plan on coming don’t come durning ramadan if u will break your fast here.
Anyways, there prices are still high. They charge $ 1 or $ 2 for a water bottle. What place charges for water? They have Tim hortons coffee and a small cup costs $ 2, more then how much an original small cup at Tim hortons cost.
There setting area is nice n spacey, and the outside patio is really nice.
I honesty wouldn’t come here again bc this place charges for things that are supposed to be complimentary, or they over charge.
