Today I decided to go try Beirut by night. When I walked in the waitress had seated me down on a booth that was literally falling apart it was horrible! After getting over the fact that I was sitting in a broken booth I then looked at the menu which were missing pages, besides that I just ordered the chicken shawrama dinner which came with rice and fattoush. When my waitress brought my fattoush I clearly told her no tomatoes and my salad had extra tomatoes in it, so basically they lack comprehension skills! When she brought out the chicken and rice, the chicken looks like it was from the day before and I could tell by the color and it was just thrown in the microwave bc it was so hard after every minute went by! I had the worst experience! I wish I would have gone to al ameer, at least at al ameer the owner isn’t filling the air with cigarette smoke while I was trying to eat, the funny thing was it clearly stated no smoking. I would say the only thing I enjoyed was walking out of the restaurant but I would be lying bc as I was walking out the cook waved goodbye to me and he wasn’t wearing any GLOVES and had salad dressing all over his hands i was sick to my stomach!!! A restaurant like that should be shut down!!!

This was a regular spot for me and my co-workers because the beef kabob is always tender and delicious but the last few times we’ve ordered the food has been terrible and the service is unspeakably bad. I ordered a salad with chicken and before I left I asked to make sure the dressing was in the bag because they forgot it before, the woman confirmed. Of course it wasn’t in there and I by the time I made it back to the office because of the slow service, my lunch was over. I called only to be told that I could pick up some dressing later or on my way home. I was appalled that they would think that resolved the situation. I told her that I would be returning the food and I wanted a refund but she said that they would not do that and they wouldn’t offer me a salad the following day either, only dressing. If you call when they first open, the same woman will exclaim«we JUST opened!», they heat the bread and rice in microwave and rarely are things made fresh. Save your time, there are plenty of great Mediterranean places in Dearborn. You lost our business, Beirut by night!

My second time here after having a horrible experience here. Decided to give it another chance. Came with my wife. Took the waiter a while to take our order or even give us water and there was nobody in the place! I wonder why? That was the first thumbs down. Second when we got our food the Beirut by night plate, there was finger prints on the humos. And there was a long piece of hair in one of the kebabs. It was revolting. The food was cold even. You could tell that the rice was just quickly heated in the microwave. Next thing I noticed was ashes in the pita bread?! When I got up to use the bathroom a strong smell of cigarettes was in the air and I looked to the other side there was an old man just smoking when it clearly says no smoking !! Now I only gave this place another chance because a friend of mine used to work there but it’s not even worth it! Bad service, bad food and the place is falling apart. I personally give it 0 stars! I recommend you spend your money elsewhere. McDonald’s will give you a better service.

The place is hit or miss, I really do enjoy it when they are firing on all cylinders. The place is not bad and you really can’t go wrong but Dearborn just has too many places that are A1. Depends what you like and what you are aiming for. The place has good food but the atmosphere can be rather boring. Service is usually on point. I wouldn’t tell anyone not to go there, it’s a nice place with solid food. It’s close to my house and good when we have no clue what to eat. Parking is ample and they appear to be busy for lunch. I have never been for lunch but I hear they have good lunch specials with decent pricing for what you get. All and all its not my first choice but my father in law is a huge fan and we don’t complain. We always order the family combination platters and always happy with the portions and quality.

I just had a late lunch at Beirut By Night. Let me tell you, I was extremely disappointed! I wish I could have given Zero Stars. I was the only table in the place at 2:00pm. And unfortunately they couldn’t get anything right. From being given a dirty glass of water, to a salad swimming in dressing. And also a small hair in the side of rice pilaf, which was hard and cold?!? The Service(Rania), or lack there of didn’t make up for it at all. This is a disgrace to Lebanese Cuisine. I still paid for everything, and gave a 21% tip. Oh, I usually tip 50 — 100% because I also work in the restaurant industry, and have done so for the last 27 years of my life. That’s a shame because Middle Eastern Cuisine is the best in the world. But, it needs to be done right! Anyways, this was my first and last time dining at this establishment. Best of luck.

Service continues to be friendly, yet extreeeeeeeeeeeeemely slow. Regardless if I dine in or carry out, I can count on waiting about twice as long as expected due to slow service. The only thing that keeps me going back is the fact that the food quality is very good.

I stumbled upon this place yesterday while I was in Dearborn Heights. I had an hour to kill and was a bit hungry(as usual). It was about 2pm in the afternoon so the place was pretty empty. Only a couple other tables of people were dining. The host was well spoken and you could tell he really wanted to make you feel welcome. I chose a table by the window and was impressed by the menu selection. Since this was lunch not dinner, I passed on the lamb chops and dinner entrée’s. I went with and order of meat filled grape leaves and the chicken shwarma sandwich. I was brought a basket of freshly baked bread and a whole pitcher of ice water. I always need to ask for water refills it seems, so this was a pleasant beginning. I asked for some garlic paste to go along with the bread and it was brought out promptly. The bread was awesome. It was the small puff pitas but so much softer than other places. My grape leaves came and I was pleased of the generous portion, accompanied by some rice pilaf and tabouli salad. Then my chicken swarma sandwich came right as I finished my first stuffed grape leaf. I tore into the chicken swarma and the flavor just exploded in my mouth. I alternated bites of sandwich, grape leaves and salad, sometimes stuffing into the pita bread. I really enjoyed everything. The waiter came by a couple times to check on me and was so humble when I said it was delicious. I will be back to try more of this menu.

I give it three stars. some of the food is really good, other food is really bad. I don’t know if they don’t clean the grill enough or what, but every time I order chicken from there, my stomach regrets it a few hours later. Don’t dine in, carry out is better because the service isn’t that great.

Food is great but what really blew me away was the service! Ask for Moe when you come in because this guy made me and my group feel like we were in a 5 star restaraunt. My personal favorites here are the tomato kibbee, lentil soup and deboned chicken!

I’ve had my fair share of middle eastern food over the years. The food is decent. Gave it two stars because of the service. Just overall poor service. We were served room temperature coffee, had to pour or own waters, and just not paid much attention to.

I have been here with my family for Iftar last night. The food was good in general even though not the best I have ever had in Dearborn. The restaurant is clean and neat but little noisy for me. I enjoyed the buffet during the Iftar. However I tend to eat slowly and was the last one to finish my meal. My sister and I had not done yet when the waitress came and start to clear off the table. She did not even ask if we’re done with the dishes or need more water which was really rude and extremely awkward. The other two guys who checked on us were very nice but it seems service is not consistent. We not from the area so whenever we come to Dearborn we get many weird looks which can be very annoying at times.

The Food was very good !!! That said I was waiting for a $ 38.00 carry out now I was the only one waiting for the carry out at the time and the young man that took the money was their when it came out of the kitchen. I waited a few mins and asked how much longer it would be for my order. it was sitting on the counter ! Now if the owner reads these reviews you need to take action on your wait staff. That might get you to the fifth star ???

This place used to be great. First time there the food was wonderful and the service was great. This time, I decided to bring my family in for a celebratory meal and from the moment we walked in the service was appalling. It was as if they did not want us there. She was NOT nice and she was on her phone the WHOLETIME. We had to ask for EVERYTHING, our server obviously didn’t want to be there. I had to get up 3 different times to ask for things. Then the food all came at different times, my husband ended up eating by himself because we were done eating our food. The bill was pretty high but although we were highly disappointed and disatisfied we paid and left. Later on I just didn’t think it was right for them to treat us the way they did so I called back to speak to a manager and I ended having their manager MIKE argue with me that I should have talked to him however HE’S the manager and last time I checked management usually comes to the tables to speak to the customers. Well long story short, I asked MIKE when will the owner be in his restaurant so I talk to him and he REFUSED to tell me. He was upset that we didn’t tip his server which she did NOT deserve a tip whatsoever with the type of service she provided. Now, I will be contacting BETTERBUSINESSBUREAU because a restaurant like this needs to be reported. To say that their service was appalling is an understatement.

It’s an average place. Food is ok. Service is ok. Décor is ok. They get food up pretty quick. Lady at cashier was nice enough. It’s a large restaurant. Average place and pretty affordable. Try it out if you are in the neighborhood.

This place was alright a couple months ago, me and my Friend got no service for 20 minutes until she got up and told the waitress we’ve been waiting for service then she came over and brought menus. Didn’t even apologize. I’ve been there a few times and this happened often. The food was good but the service was terrible and it remains to be… So I was forced to come here for Mother’s Day because my mom liked the food here. We arrive and were greeted and got a table then & our waitress happened to be wearing a scarf. Mind you she never told us her name. We asked for so many things and she never got any of them. I was forced to wave down 3 different servers because she did nothing and never checked on us. I told one of the servers there that«I don’t know her name but she is wearing a black scarf can you take over please? We’re not being taken care of» This person goes to the original waitress and tells her I called her a «scarfie» and she comes back to call me a racist?! Are you kidding me ?! When I said nothing of that sort, if she was proper enough, she would have introduced herself like any other professional server. Disgustingly rude, kept saying it’s not her fault when I saw her doing nothing over the counter, lazy, had to tell her to get stuff and she never did. Just terrible service, all of them! I will never be coming here again! made me feel like I was a racist because of that stupid other waitress saying I said something I didn’t! Eww. Trash. All of you in Beirut by Night. No one apologized nothing was taken off the bill they all sat around gossiping about it like children. No professionalism whatsoever.

Well, we decided to give Beirut By Night a try today for lunch. A few other local Middle Eastern restaurants having been coming up short as of late, so we wanted to try something new. We pulled into the parking lot right at 11am, and thought for a moment it was closed, but noticed a few cars parked in the back. We walked in and were seated immediately, and the waitress took our drink orders. At first glance, the restaurant looked clean, but looking down on the floor, pieces of salad and bread were on the floor from the previous night(at least we hope)… The table and seats were clean, so we just let it slide. LOL We ordered a medium hommous, and chicken shawarma pita sandwiches. The bread came out room temperature, and although ok, seemed heavy compared to the other M.E. establishments in the area. It appeared to be the warm pillow bread everybody loves, but was not the fluffy light pillow, but more of a heavy, memory foam type pillow bread. LOL It didn’t have much flavor at all, but the hommous did and it was quite good and tasty. Both of us agreed, the Chicken Shawarma Pita sandwiches were the hottest we have ever ate. They came right off the grill and was still smoking when you took a bite out of it. LOL They were hot, fresh and delicious… In closing, although it was a good experience, the memory foam pillow bread has made me want to take an afternoon nap…

Poor service and dry meat. The seats, floor and table were sticky. The waitress saw we were done and brought one box for us to pack left overs(you could tell we had lots of food to pack). Maybe it was just an off day for our waitress. I just hate waiting a long time for soda refills while watching the waitress chat and eat behind the counter.

OMG what happened Beirut by Night? Last time I gave you 5 stars. This time you are just okay, but I don’t even know if you deserve 3 stars! I ordered the Ultimate Chicken Plate for 2 people to go and when I got it home, eh – the Chicken Kafta was spicy like it had Jalepeno peppers in it. It was also a little mushy, like there was a lot of fat or skin in it — yuch, or it was just plain bad, bad, bad. The Chicken Schwarma tasted a little old as well. Rice was delicious and the kabobs were good. But, you really need to find your high standards again! Fire the cook, if that is the case — you really don’t want people to get sick at your restaurant, do you?

Beirut by Night is a beautiful restaurant with quality food but the service is terrible! & quite frankly, you can find better middle eastern food at Al-Ameer. Their chicken galabba(sp?) was DELICIOUS yet the taste was only ruined by the poor service. Food and drinks took ages & much of my food sat as I waited for requested accompaniments that are status quo at other Middle Eastern restaurants. Additionally, a smaller room is reserved for hookah smokers(didn’t know that was part of restaurant otherwise, I would have avoided bringing my 1 year old!). The smoke wafted into our empty drinks and overly cluttered, never cleaned off table. Lastly, I strongly believe the cook smoked cigarettes as he cooked because the food itself smelled and tasted of cigarette smoke somehow… Overall a horrible meal not made better by a fancy façade…

This place is great. The prices are good, the menu expansive and featuring many omnivorous and herbivorous meal options, and the freshly baked bread is(as should always be the case of Middle Eastern restaurants) simply decadent. The Baba Ganoush is excellent, as well as the Veg Grape Leaves, Mjaddera, and the salads. I’ve been told the Garlic Sauce is wonderful(not vegan so I haven’t tried it) and a number of the Chicken Dinners are apparently very delicious(again, I’ve obviously not had them personally). Inside is quite spacious and seems visually formal but the atmosphere is nonetheless quite relaxed. The lunch specials are very reasonable but the dinners are also well worth the price, considering the generous portions. All in all, the prices are comparable if not slightly better than La Pita(in the heart of West Downtown Dearborn), and the menu offers greater variety for sure. I’d highly recommend a visit, even if just to broaden your horizons.
