I’m a frequent customer at Hamidos Dearborn Heights. I usually get their falafel sandwiches with extra tahini and meat shawarma. I tried their chicken galaba with rice before and it was amazing. Hamidos by far has he best humus as well. Try this place out. Trust me it’s worth it.

We were visiting the area and stopped by at this place. The food quality was very good. Falafel were very fresh and served hot with a lot of salad and pickles. Chicken tawook was alright but the rice was good. Chicken shawarma was good too. Curly fries were crispy and hot.

You can never go wrong with Hamido’s. Consistency is part of their business motto. Fresh ingredients, high quality meats and chicken, and excellent customer service. The only reason I knocked one star off is because I’ve asked for no tomatoes on my salad a couple times to open it and still find tomatoes.

Love this place. Best chicken shawarma I’ve ever tasted. Service is fast and friendly. I’ve eaten at many local middle eastern restaurants and this one is by far the best.

Giving this a little better review, the food is good nice flavor, restaurant is still small, but stays busy most days, lots of take outs. The shish tawook is fantastic. Meat is tender and tasty. Falafel is tasty too, not overly fried like some places, but this can be hit and miss sometimes. Salads are tasty too. Very large so over estimate and order a smaller version. It will still be enough. I found this to be true with most serving sizes. We had a party of four and ordered for 3 and we all had plenty left over for take home. Average is usually $ 10 per head no matter what is ordered. Place can be cramped usually families eat here so expect some kids little noisy at times. Lunches and dinners are packed so plan accordingly. Better for take out for these times so call ahead usually about ½ hr. before pick up due to volume. Orders are usually correct but check, anyway before leaving.

I was really impressed by their good taste and generous appetizers with a meal no matter what kind. It’s my second time I order their meal, and it was a fish this time. Tasty and special tartar sauce with extra large fries on the side. The atmosphere inside is fair and the prices are reasonable :)

Love this place. Have had about half of everything on the menu over the last several years, and my favorites are the chicken shawarma sandwich and the babaghanouj. Other favs include the fattoush, tabouleh, and beef shawarma. Hummus is good, but their baba is the best in Detroit. Looks a little dumpy from the outside, but you get what you pay for, this place is a really good value for delicious food. Ive gone back again and again and have yet to come away with anything other than feeling very satisfied. This is one of our favorite places!

Very friendly service. I go here exclusively when I’m in the mood for Mediterranean food that’s delicious and quick. Their falafel sandwich is a personal favorite, although I always ask for light lettuce. If you ask for a side of pickled turnips and peppers it’s on the house and goes great with the hummus appetizers. I highly recommend this if you like a diner atmosphere and quick yummy middle eastern cuisine! NOTE: the only reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is because the location, while easy to spot is kind of a pain to get to being right at an intersection of a major road.

I usually don’t like to leave bad reviews but I’m fed up with some of crappy prepared food. why would you serve burned onions in a sandwich and lots of it. it taste like char cook didnt have the decency to throw them and make new ones. I guess to save couple pennies. very disapponting!!!,

Perfect place to pick for a last minute dinner. The best part about it is it actually tastes like home made food. Recommend everything!

So if I were to rate the food alone it would be a 4 star rating, but if I factor in customer service and the fact that they do try to rip off certain customers, I have to lower the rating. If you do end up going, order the chicken quesadilla it is amazing! Also, hamidos have probably the best fries I’ve ever had!(And I love fries).

Terrible service. Employees argue with each other in front of customers with no shame. I went with my wife and the waitress gave us the menus and she did not bother to ask us when we will be ready. We figured she must be busy. We looked at the menus and figured out what we wanted then waited for 15 minutes and she did not come back yet. Decided to leave the place after all. The place is probably appropriate for pick up orders only.

The food here is pretty good. The only complaint is that the shawarma does tend to be a bit oily. And also if you have a dining area, make sure that it is well serviced. I wouldn’t sit and dine there but I would definitely recommend take out. Good friendly people that work there.

Tasty goodness — highly recommend the fattoush salad, which I had today. Wow, so crunchy and fresh. I requested chicken on top, which wasn’t the moistest I’ve ever had but it had a grilled taste to it. Simple interior and exterior. Lots of similar cuisine to be found in the area so this place doesn’t stick out like gold, but the staff were friendly and answered my questions well enough. Location is prime being right off Ford. I do plan on returning and bringing my mom to try. Exterior: 5/10, needs fresh siding and paint. Interior: 6/10, some signs look newer but the seating is poor and oddly arranged. Location: 8⁄10 Food Taste: 10⁄10 they do Mediteranean well. Staff: 7/10, the cashier was super friendly and recommended I try the salad with pita on the side instead of a wrap. Overall Experience: 8⁄10 somewhat confusing if you’re going to dine in, I think they’d prefer you to just sit down and they’ll wait on you but I’m not sure.

Pretty good faruj. Just make sure they don’t overcook it. Nice customer service. It comes with delicious garlic sauce and pickles. If you don’t like something make sure to go back and they’ll fix it for you.

I love this place! A friend of mine introduced me a couple weeks ago and now I’m hooked. Their shush tawook is some of the best I’ve had. The chicken is seasoned well and extremely tender. My second favorite is the beef sharworma. They also have incredible garlic sauce and rice. I highly recommend Hamido!

I’ve stopped here for a few informal dinners over the past year and it’s always been pretty tasty. I’m boring so I stick with their chicken shawarma, but what a delicious shawarma it is! For $ 3.50, you get a huge portion of chicken, garlic sauce and pickles(none for me please) wrapped in a fresh pita. It’s heaven. The husband gets the shawarma as well with the addition of their fattoush salad. Mmm their fattoush looks and smells incredible. If I ate vegetables, I’d be all over it. The place isn’t much to look at, and for the love of little baby Jesus, do not ever use the bathroom! Think of it as a Middle Eastern diner. Some cheaper dishes, some moderate ones, but nothing too fancy when it comes to atmosphere and service.
