Wow terrible service and horribly understaffed during the Friday night before Christmas. Nothing like standing around for a hour in the mens departmetnt waiting to get measured for a suit. I did not see a single employee. I then waited in the checkout line for another fifteen minutes and finally got measured then went and made my selection. After that I waited another fifteen minutes in the checkout line to make my purchase because they only had three people working the registers

Great selection of ladies dresses at good prices! Never seem to have enough cashiers working. Today the girl was rude and even forgot to remove the security ink tags. I will have to make a special trip back to have them removed.

J C Penney is changing and I want to think positive for them. This store seemed more than adequate and it’s only a few(7?) years old – there used to be a mall entrance here that I used a lot. Many of their stores are getting a makeover because they just haven’t done more than survive, but they’ve slowly pruned away candy, furniture, auto service, and more since the 1960s. Ron Johnson was going to re-make the company and now, he’s gone within 2 years. The store had customers but no more than Macy’s and Macy’s usually has better sales. What this particular store has going for it is Sephora. In bigger cities, Sephora is a big draw, but without millions of people in the area, they apparently didn’t want to open a store of their own. There should be some reivisions to the store because they’ve planned plenty of upgrades to offer boutique-like shopping with new lines of clothes to boost their sales. If they don’t do something soon enough, they could be gone. Kohl’s and Macy’s are eating their lunch.
