Archie’s is about more than just ice cream and sandwiches. Scott, the owner, has created a place to bring the community together. I’m sure you can get a larger selection of ice cream, or a more gourmet sandwich somewhere else, but it wouldn’t be nearly as enjoyable when not accompanied by Scott and his family. Also make sure to check out Dayton Friday Nights during the summer. Archie’s is the anchor for a weekly town wide celebration around the traditional town square. A car show, live music, food and craft vendors, and good people. Small town America the way it’s meant to be. Thank You Scott for your commitment to Dayton and the people all over Yamhill County.

Really good deli sandwiches. Make sure to ask for the«Harvest bread». Been here twice, Rueben sandwich both times, delicious and very generous portions!

We live in Salem but travel the 25⁄30 miles to make our monthly visit. Order the namesake ’ the Archie’, get the house made multi-grain bread, sit back and enjoy the homey experience. Low price, lovely atmosphere, right across the street from a brand new park with gazebo, excellent food, great story, local business. Stumbled into them when we visited friends in Grand Island. Much love.

Stopped by for ice cream a few times in the evening. As it is off season for ice cream, I was not surprised to see only a dozen or so choices. Pricing was fair, place is cute but could use some tlc. I look forward to the warmer weather and an expanded selection of tasty ice cream. This is a family run business, and everyone is really nice, so be sure to stop by and show your support.

Such a great little small town ice cream shoppe with a vintage touch. The owners, are warm and inviting and the attached deli is great. So glad we have a place like this in our little community.

We LOVE Archie ’ s Ice Cream!!! They have that old fashioned soda fountain feel attached to the Brown Bag Deli where you can get an amazingly delicious meal. All of it from a very friendly family that makes you feel right at home :) I love that the kids in the local schools can earn a free scoop of ice cream by doing well in their classes.

We had sandwiches here, and the y were quite tasty. The drink selection is a little lacking though, a cooler with coke and sprite in cans. It feels more like the kind of place that you get food to take home rather than eat there. Our food was great, and I would eat there again– but I might take it to go. The portions were pretty big, and I only ate half my sandwich– I would gladly have ordered a smaller one if it was an option.

Sometimes there is just a fun place. Archies has yummy ice cream but the attached store brings back fun memories and the outdoor seating is a great spot to end your evening. The Brown Bag has really sandwiches too.

Cute! It really is. The doors that hang from the ceiling are the highlight for sure. It’s a kitschy small town hot spot, but the owners are friendly and the ice cream is great. When the weather is good, they have sidewalk seating. There’s nothing fancy about Archie’s, but it’s got a lot of personality and for that, it deserves to prosper. Stop in and get a scoop or two. Then go next door and check out the antiques and collectables.
