Love the vintage ice cream shop feel and the fun variety of flavors. This is the kind of place we like take guests after lunch or dinner while we’re walking up and down the main street.

Been a fan of this place for many years. First off it’s situated in a historic building in beautiful Downtown McMinnville, Oregon with old time photographs and a old raggedy time playing piano. The customer service is always great and the ice cream is always creamy and delicious! Without a doubt some of the best ice cream I have ever had! Make it a destination when in town!

You won’t find a better Salted Caramel ice cream than they have right here. Great place in downtown McMinnville!

The service is wonderful! I went there when the ladies were closing up and they still let me in to order. The ice cream is wonderful, highly recommend the salted caramel. The building is the old hotel in town. Makes it really feel like an old fashioned soda shop.

This place is phenomenal! Best ice cream shop I’ve been to in awhile. I’ve been here about 6 times so far and I can’t get enough! If you live near or just going through town, definitely drop by and get yourself a nice refreshing treat.

The most impressive thing about Serendipity to me is the way that they support local causes and local people. The server that took care of us had developmental disabilities and he was hired purposely and doing a great job. Posters of local events and fundraisers are plastered all over the walls and windows. Sometimes when I want to find out what’s going on in town or who is going good things, I just cruise down to serendipity and check out the walls. :) The ice cream is delicious too. Anyone who serves marshmallow sauce definitely gets my vote. It’s warm inside. The lights twinkle. The servers smile. The player piano works overtime. I love it. 5 stars.

Uh, yum! While walking by my boyfriend say the sign and immediately directed me to the front door. He chose the Kona coffee flavor and a waffle cone, while I opted for the vanilla in a sugar cone. I had initially tried the sugar free pecan toffee(I think that’s what it was), but it had such a strong artificial sweetener flavor that I ended up just going with vanilla. Sure, that’s a boring choice considering all of the other delicious looking ice creams, but sometimes just plain ol vanilla is the best. thing. ever. And it was wonderful.

Good ice cream at a good price. Small establishment and the staff were friendly. Not a lot of flavors to choose from(prob about 12) but a wide enough variety to make everybody happy

Ice cream is great. Came in on a whim and the girl working that day was super friendly and helpful, letting me try all the flavors. They all were super yummy! I ended up getting a sherbet it was delicious.

Really great service. The girls are super sweet and offered one of my kids a free ice cream for her birthday :) the ice cream is delicious, served in a very old time I’ve cream parlor. Their cookies and brownies and brownies are homemade and fresh. Yummy!

Super cute and homey little ice cream shop. The staff was friendly and helpful. It wasn’t too busy but I can see it getting crowded on a hot afternoon. But that is sometimes the price you pay for delicious ice-cream. Great flavors to choose from. And I love the unique idea that you can get a bowl of soup, bread, and a scoop of ice-cream! My dream lunch!

Well finished date night here with ice cream and as always it is a delightful stop. All of the flavors have been positive on my account and there is a piano that plays itself. Cute shop as it reminds me of childhood. Highly recommend this shop

Well… real small, crowded, loud, sticky floors and tables. Only 4 — 6 tables. When people are at the counter for ice cream, very hard to get in to store. The price is high for ice cream even higher for shakes, they did not know what a ‘malt’ was. The ice cream is pretty good. The service is not good. I don’t understand what the rave is about this place. Probably will not go in again unless there is few people in store. Visited July 2014

Friendly staff and good ice cream. Serendipity has a good selection of Ice Cream. My son is a really big fan of the organ that plays it self in the corner.

I lived in McMinnville, OR raising my 3 kids for 7 marvelous years until I moved to the Midwest in 2010. Located in the wine country of northern Oregon, Serendipity truly lives up to its name. We stopped in to celebrate every special occasion. Graduations, birthdays, new jobs. And it consoled us on the sad days. Boyfriend breakups, lost jobs… thankfully more good than sad :). Any visitors who came to see us were taken to Serendipity. We wanted them to know we were living the good life. It was so good to stop in again, and not ONE thing has changed. They’re still the most fantastic place to go. Thank you, Serendipity!

This may be my absolute favorite ice cream place in the world. It is just a cool place that makes you reminisce of times past. The selection of ice cream is good and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Its in the middle of downtown McMinnville right across the street from McMenamins(one of our other favorites) so we come here often when we’re in town. Gotta love the player piano too :).

This is the perfect place to grab a cone while visiting historic downtown McMinnville. The shop is nostalgic and very well appointed. I noticed they serve food too, but have only had ice cream here.

Perfect day for a stroll downtown! Lovely local ice cream parlor in the heart of McMinnville. Love the basic menu and selections. The service is a eeeeehhhhh depends on the person working that day. I have encountered very great service there and the girl that never smiles.

Had this neat little ice cream shop not been spied by the gang of pre-teen girls after pizza at 3rd St Pizza, I would not have noticed it. It is very small, old fashioned, and had a good selection of sweets and treats. All the girls got small sized ice cream scoops in everything from cones to cups. I had a small scoop of Rocky Road. While sitting back and(attempting) to tune out the banter on who thinks Justin Bieber is cuter, I took in the décor. The piano was incredible! It played some cool music and even the girls thought it was pretty awesome for not being an iPod. I loved all the hard wood and jars full of candies. The large table right in front of the ice cream coolers was great for the large party size, but the smaller, personal sized tables in the back were perfect for imagining sharing a chocolate malt or root beer float. I’ll certainly return!

An absolutely adorable old fashioned ice cream parlour that became a little less charming inside. I guess the vintage setting really had me hoping for homemade ice cream. Unfortunately they serve Cascade Glacier ice cream, which I put a tier below Tillamook and Umpqua. There is a lot about this business to love. The setting is vintage in the heart of downtown McMinneville and they even have a player piano in the main room. This business was also set up to support and employ those with disabilities. So great concept and atmosphere and pretty good ice cream.
