The deli isn’t THAT bad. They have a large variety of bread and a good selection of deli meats. I like sandwiches, and i can say this place is on par with sandwich deli’s in downtown SF.

No, I am not trolling the campus looking for Jail Bait Co-Eds! And I am not here to spy on anyone’s kids to see what they are doing(Well I can tell you, not studying!) And I am not regressing in age and longing for my college days!(Well, maybe, but I went to Berkeley. A Golden Bear, not an Aggie!) I must have walked across half of the campus, and this place is spread out! UC Davis is a bicycle campus. There are more bicycles than students, I think. You can tell the Seniors’ and Juniors’ from the Freshmen’s bikes. The upper division students all have older 15 speed mountain bikes in dark colors with short handle bars. Guys and Gals. The lower division kids(especially the women) have single speed cruiser bicycles with fat and smooth road tires, wide handle bars, and in pastel colors. UC Davis is flatter than a pancake, so who needs 15 speeds? Plus the new cruisers are expensive(for what you get) and are sort of a status/fashion symbol, I guess, even though they were bought at Target or Wal-Mart. Sort of like Uggs. Anyway, the Deli is near the«Quad»(why do only high schools and colleges have«Quads»? K-8 have«school yards, blacktops, fields and playgrounds») BTW, what is a «Quad»? I know in my 24 Hour Fitness reviews, it is like Bi’s and Tri’s, Delts and Pecs. Is that the same here? There are a lot of tables and chairs to eat, mingle and congregate. There are 3 main service bays for food. 1. Grill Bay. Includes grill items, and advertises with colorful signs the Phở Noodle Soups!(The Phở is to offer diversity to the 50% asian students here!) This section was closed at 4pm WTH? 2. Deli Bay. Sandwiches and things. 3. Bagel Bay. Order a bagel of some sort. I went into the Bagel Bay, passing the line of students obediently waiting to order a bagel, and went for a Sobe Green Tea bottle. $ 2.25. No student discount. I confused the student cashier by giving her $ 3 in ones, then finding a quarter and taking back a dollar bill in exchange for the 25 cents, at which point she started to give me back another dollar bill. I told her she could keep the extra dollar. I think she was an Applied Math major. Go Ags!
