I would like to thank Chris the catering manager at Togo’s. We ordered food today for a lecture and had to abruptly cancel at the last minute. Instead of me stressing out about canceling our order, he told me not to worry about. He was very understanding. I will be bringing my catering business to him from now on. That is an example of great customer service!

Perhaps my last review was a little chilly, but it is brutal honesty. There is still nothing horribly special about this Togo’s, but that is also not saying that it isn’t satisfying. Because it is. Today I ordered the«Boom boom pastrami» sandwich. The«Boom boom» part means a spicy sauce. It was tasty enough, but not really what I’d qualify«spicy» to be. This has nothing to do with Togo’s as a business, but a flood of high school kids came in, luckily after I’d ordered and was seated and eating. Thanks for being consistently tasty and thanks for honoring the Unilocal check-in free drink thing.

Sandwich shops are often overlooked in reviews, but the Togos chain deserves to be praised. We consistently enjoy their offerings. When we think of take out for an evening meal we think of Togos in our top three choices. I especially like their chipolte roast beef sandwich. My son goes for their tuna, and my wife for their italian. The one we frequent in the Marketplace plaza in Davis is always clean and fresh smelling. Great service.

Great sandwich joint. The Pastrami is really good. $ 5.00 special is a great bargain. Staff at Davis store are attentive and courteous.

They are still high as all get out. I asked for extra cranberry for my turkey and boy did he give extra! I couldn’t even eat it and it was oozing from the bread. Really overpowered the turkey and everything else. The bread is kind of hard here and I was surprised that there were not much turkey slices on the sandwich. The guy that made the sandwich was pleasant enough but this store is like any other chain – the links are weak.

I am not sure why I am giving Togo’s a 5 star rating except for the respect and love I have for my business partner, Lee Stuart. You see, for some reason related to a strong memory of a happy childhood and teenage years in San Jose, Lee LOOOOOVVVVEEEESSSSS Togo’s. To the exclusion of all other restaurants, eateries and fine dining establishments. And, to be honest, it is definitely better than Subway, but honestly… eh…so if Unilocal gives this 5 stars and if you follow stars without reading the actual reviews, you may wonder what the hell is going on with a 5 star review of Togo’s. If you read this, though… you’ll understand… sometimes you just have to yield to people you love and respect and for that reason Togo’s gets 5 stars. I have to stop by one every time just for Lee, and even if he isn’t with us, it at least makes me pause. Oh, and the key is the #9 Pastrami apparently. Enjoy. Here’s to Lee !

Nothing’s changed. But great job, togo’s, for paying to have my review moved to the«not recommended» reviews section. Keep up the outstanding work. Really, truly, your corporate structure is something to be proud of. Subway and the rest of those horrible corporate chains are shaking in their boots. And special shoutout to you, Matt r. I’m sorry for your confusion. There was no confusion over here. I ordered a sandwich online and this togo’s shop said they wouldn’t honor it anymore. That’s all there was to it. Keep getting paid though, Matt. Your job is to apologize while refuting everything. Can’t a man buy a sandwich without being lied to?!

I used to goto the TOGOs downtown on B ST religiously when 15 or 20 years ago before it shut down. I now goto the West Covell location from time to time next to Dos Coyotes. It is an excellent sandwich, but the price is not a great value compared to what it once was. Chalk part of that to inflation maybe. I used to get a large #23(salami and cheese) for $ 3.50 in the 90s, and it is $ 6.95 now. Togos white bread is excellent and one of the strengths of the sandwich. The meats are generally above average — usually get salami or pastrami. While I still enjoy these sandwiches I do not go as often thanks to the poorer value.

I ordered the soup and mini sandwich combo(which totalled over $ 7) with a chicken salad sandwich. It took them a while to complete my order which I found surprising because all they needed to do was microwave some soup and put some stuff on a sandwich. Upon receiving the sandwich, I was saddened to find an extremely scarce amount of chicken salad on the sandwich. The bread to sandwich content ratio was ridiculously bad. The soup appeared to be Velveeta with some vegetables put in. As for the aesthetic: if you are going to put up Halloween decorations up, go all out or don’t do anything at all. One ghost and several skeletons doesn’t make for a spooky atmosphere. And please splurge for Spotify premium. I hear enough ads everywhere else.

I went in to Togo’s recently and dropped my perfectly good meatball sub on the ground like a complete a**. They immediately offered to remake it. The replacement sandwich(which I assume was similar to the original) was delicious. The sauce was tangy and tasted like real tomatoes, the vegetables and bread were fresh, and the meatballs were tender and flavorful(grow up!). My only complaint is that, even with the drink and chips, I don’t know if the meal is worth $ 12(then again, it must be if I routinely go here over Subway)

Great sandwich place within walking distance of a ton of apartments. Basically Togo’s is a better Subway. The sandwiches are huge for a good price. And it’s nice that they always have the free drink check-in offer. My personal fave sandwich is a French Dip on Sourdough with extra horseradish. I also love their Asian chicken salad. Be warned that they do run out of sourdough pretty often especially on weekends. Usually all the ingredients are pretty good but one time I did get stale bread. Other than that, no problems. Also the service here is constintely above average :) On busy days it can be a bit slower but generally it’s pretty fast.

Typical Togo’s, but when you work at a place where the ingredients are in front of you, you shouldn’t mess up on an order. What sucks is the staff themselves seem very nice and genuine, but perhaps need proper training(or more focus). Last time I went, I specifically said no mayonnaise, as I detest the crap.(All mayo, not just Togo’s) I get home, and there is a buttload of it, even though the sandwich maker repeated to me my «No mayonnaise» request. Today, I joked about getting something I never get, a bigass meaty sandwich loaded with three meats. He even encouraged me to go for broke and get the 9 inch. Fine, why not? Well, I get home, and he forgot one whole meat, so there were only two. So, not only is there a taste missing, but I paid a lot of money considering it is a «fast food» sandwich establishment. As I said, nice staff, but they are in desperate need of retraining

Similar to Subway, except pricer. C and I came here for lunch on 4th of July since we were here for Petco couple stores down. It was empty, but it didn’t matter to us since it meant no lines. Order the large Turkey Avocade($ 8.50) to split and a free self-serve drink for checking-in. They have 4 types of bread, we got the honey wheat which I enjoyed. The avocado wasn’t freshly sliced like Beach Hut, it was pre sliced and meshed with lemon juice incorporated. They have different daily lunch specials. $ 5 for a particular 6″ sandwich and drink. Sunday is the Turkey Avocado. Which I feel you get a better deal at subway with the $ 5 foot long. They have plenty of seats inside and patio seating. *Inside small plaza — Safeway, Noah’s, Jamba Juice, Dos Coyotes, Game Stop, Petco, Pluto’s, Yogurtland, etc. *Check-in for a free fountain drink with a 6″ or bigger sandwich purchase

If you’re looking for a fast but DELICIOUS sandwich in Davis Togos at the Davis Marketplace is you’re place. They have their most popular sandwiches on the board, but don’t be fooled there’s a ton of more options on their menu. My favorite is the pastrami(one of their top sellers) and the turkey avocado. If you’re here for lunch, I recommend the lunch deal, it’s a mini sandwich of your choice and a soup or salad. The sandwich size is perfect and with the southwest chicken salad. You can’t go wrong.

I came here because I just finished an easy 20 mile bike ride in davis and I craved a hearty sandwich and I figured why not try togos. I remember liking their pastrami sandwich and decided to go for it. I haven’t had this sandwich in years but it wasn’t as good as i expected it to me. Maybe my expectations were too high or maybe I shouldnt have ordered a full sandwich and eat it all in one setting. Either way I though the sandwich was okay. The service was fast and good though and definitely satisfied my sandwich craving.

The staff is friendly, there are plenty of options of GOOD ingredients, the bread doesn’t taste or look sad(I’m looking at you Subway), there is a daily special sandwich combo(great deal), and at least in Davis, I enjoy talking to the staff. I just tried the pulled pork sandwich, it is straight pulled pork with Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce(THEBEST) and some good ol slaw. Doesn’t get any better than that.

As far as sandwich joints go, Togo’s is top-tier. The quality of sandwiches here cannot be questioned. Although Togo’s used to be more on the expensive side, they have recently introduced more wallet-friendly items, specifically the $ 3 Sammie, $ 4 Sandwich of the day, and $ 5 Deal of the Day. Although the Sandwich/Deal of the Day is not a «footlong»(but a regular 6″), it is definitely Quality over Quantity. My two favorites here are the Pastrami and the Turkey & Avocado.

I’m actually a big fan of Togo’s. I remember days before ballet class when I was younger and getting a sandwich. Now that I’m in college and reverting back into the days of my childhood, I stopped in here for a pastrami sandwich. There’s never anyone in here, which baffles me, because everyone who works here is very friendly and efficient. The best part of the sandwiches is the bread. The bread is so wonderful, and I usually don’t like sandwiches! Delicious! Yeah, maybe a little pricey for a sandwich, but still pretty good :)
