Def a hidden gem! I am very happy with the unique menu; they offer dishes that normal Indian restaurants do not… North Indian predominance mixed in south Indian and Kashmiri meals. The servers, are crazy busy, but they still took great care of us every step of the way and are super knowledgeable. I would def go back. You can wait for a seat at the bar; only critique: need 4 chairs at the bar, not 3!

Outstanding food, service, and environment. Their lunch buffet is excellent. The Chicken tikka masala is wonderful. Their a mango lassi drink is delicious. Immaculate environment. The only negative is that you cannot take leftovers home after the lunch special.

Best Indian food I’ve had in the entire US — and we eat Indian food all the time. Highly Recommended. Lovely staff. Lovely atmosphere. Great takeout. Great for vegetarians. Enjoy:)

Terrible service dining-in from the lady(owner?). Found her to be very intrusive. I may look past that but in my recent take-out order the crispy papads were half cooked. How do you mess that up? And the entrée had a cup more of oil than it needed.

Our favorite Indian restaurant in Fairfield County, but if a splurge, but delicious. We always get vegetable korma & tikka masala tandoori chicken. Yum!

The brunch is a great way to try new dishes and sides. They make it worth your while with a card which they will stamp upon each visit. After 5 visits/stamps, the sixth lunch is free. Good deal, right? I’ve been going here for years and still haven’t had anything that I really didn’t like. It is a little expensive as a direct result of their popularity and the fact they must pay Darien prices for the space. Still the best Indian around.

My wife and I stopped by on the way home from a wedding in Boston. I always liked India and this place was perfect and delicious. So glad we stopped by and wished we lived closer so I could eat here more often.

If I were to rate this restaurant strictly based on their lunch buffet, it would be a 5 star, without a doubt. However, I rate Indian restaurants based on their chicken tikka masala, and in this case, it is not the best I have found. But, it is still excellent. Back to the lunch buffet: The cost, for the high-quality and excellent options makes this a destination I do my best to frequent for lunch. With the ability to taste and try an assortment of dishes, sauces, and sides, this exceptional food leaves nothing to be desired. They tend to have a chicken, meat/lamb dish, and vegetarian dish(or multiple). They have about 6 – 8 sauces, serve complimentary naan and chicken tandoori, all with cheery, excellent service. The ambiance at this restaurant is quaint, and clean. The outdoor seating gives the opportunity to enjoy the nice weather during the summer, in a laid-back Darien setting. Matched with traditional Southern Indian cuisine, and it is a home run. I cannot suggest any particular dishes here, as they are all great. Just try the buffet a few time a week as they cycle through main courses, and pick your favorite for weeknights and weekends! Make sure to visit, it will certainly be worth your time.

What a gem hidden in a nondescript strip mall with an extensive menu and an impressive wine list. Certainly, by far the best Indian restaurant in the area. Appetizers were a variation of the spinach and cheese concoction but built like 4 volcanoes with a sweet tomato sauce and basmati rice. The calamari salad was an explosion of taste, flavor and texture with the crunch of the cabbage and tamarind taste balancing the calamari to create a mixture of intense flavor. Entrees were the halibut and baby aubergine Each provided a unique flavor and taste that was long lasting but not overpowering. G was our waiter but was knowledgeable about the food and wines and made the evening that much more enjoyable. Must go back!

Stopped here on our honeymoon road trip! The meal was OUTSTANDING! The dining room is small and modern, and they seem to do a lot of take-out business. We think they overheard us talking about our trip, because they brought us two complimentary glasses of wine. The service was excellent and friendly! Wish we lived in CT!

We’ve been to many Indian restaurants and this place is the best! For an appetizer the Sham Savera has a wonderful delicate flavor. The Murgh Dhaniwal(our favorite dish) is so good with the Peshwari Naan. Every special we have had has never disappointed. Trust the waiters suggestions! The service is friendly and attentive, and they have a terrific wine list.

This is probably the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. Everything about this place reeks 5 stars, the service, the food, THEWINELIST!!! Bravo! We walked in on Saturday night around 7:00 and I’ll have to admit the atmosphere isn’t anything special but that was the only downside. We were seated at a table in the front at first and then we were asked by the manager if we would mind moving to a table in the back as they wanted to put a few tables together to seat 6. Sure, we’ll sit at a much larger table. From what I can gather this is a family run business with everyone pitching in to do whatever is needed. One of the things that I was SO impressed with was that wine list! You never expect to see something like that at a casual Idian spot. We ordered a 2007 Sokol Blosser Pinot Noir from Oregon, one of my favorites that I never see on a menu, the mark-ups are more than reasonable as well. On to the food, which was outstanding! We ordered way too much and brought home many containers! The garlic naan was good, although it could have had a bit more garlic for my taste. For an appetizer we decided to try the Coromandel Sham Savera, spinach and cottage cheese dumpling with tangy tomato and honey sauce. Not only was this dish beautifully presented it was unbelievably flavorful! The sauce is definitely on the sweet side though. One of the entrees we ordered was the Kerala Kootu which was a mixture of vegetables cooked in coconut paste cumin and curry leaves. This again was an extremly flavorful dish which states medium spicy but I didn’t find it all that spicy. We also ordered the Goat curry which was slow cooked on the bone with onions tomatoes and spices. Both of these entrees were huge winners and we barely made a dent in the overly generous portions. I’m just jealous that my man got to take all the left overs home to his place! I can’t wait to try more things on the menu!!!

Coromandel is the standard by which all other Indian restaurants are measured. The best. The buffet items are fresh, delicious and there is a never ending variety of foods depending which day you go. The service is great and the servers have gotten to know us ver the years since we go every couple of weeks. A lot of Indian people dine here which is a good sign! Great naan and desserts. Be sure to try the lime soda.

Came here for weekend brunch and was really blown away. Great display and great options. Each of the dishes are distinctive and tasty. I literally tried them all. Includes a salad(greens) option, but, I mean, who’s going to eat that? The space is nice and bright, and there are plenty of tables — which is a good thing since this spot is clearly very popular for weekend brunch. Definitely worth stopping by.
