We ordered from here a week ago, food arrived within the hour. We ordered 2 pizzas, spaghetti and wings. The pizzas were average, nothing spectacular and over priced compared to other pizzerias in the area. Unsure if we will order here again, when there are more options.

Ordering delivery on what is to be an expectedly busy night. Two stars because of how busy they likely were. Suggestions: * Please train the person answering the phone or the automated system that initially greeted me, only to immediately put me hold, not to hang up on me after 7 minutes of hold time. * When I call back and wait on hold for another length of time, please have someone trained to eloquently and politely answer the phone, as opposed to a completely unintelligible greeting. At a minimum, enunciate whatever, «Abburdabudaba» is supposed to mean. * Hire managers that aren’t afraid to come to the phone. * Make your pizza less limp and greasy. It’s far from East Coast, and the only thing you really have going for you is good ranch dressing.

Best pizza in the east bay, friendly service and delivery and great quality — they deliver to walnut creek faster than the local extreme pizza and if they are even a few minutes late they bring dessert to say sorry.

Absolutely outstanding pizza. It’s somewhere between a NY style and Neapolitan, which is just what I like. It is a bit crowded, but I can totally see why.

We went tonight for our son’s birthday. There was a fundraiser outside, so they kindly suggested we sit inside. Our table was perfect, tucked away and quiet. Our server was busy, but made sure we were taken care of. The garlic breadsticks appetizer arrived fast. It’s okay, come with ranch and marinara dipping sauces. Then our Kale and Quinoa salad arrived… it was excellent! Even the kids took a healthy portion. We ordered penne, but it was taking too long to cook so the manager came out and offered us another choice. He was friendly. We ended up with spaghetti and meatballs which was delicious. Then our pizzas arrived, Margarita and Cheese. The Margarita was not what we expected. It seemed more like the cheese pizza with chopped tomatoes on top, it tasted pretty good though. Since it was a birthday they brought out a slice of cake which we thought was a very nice touch. All in all it was a pleasurable dining experience and we will be back again.

The venue is nice and beautiful. Pizzas come in 4 sizes, I had the 10″ small one and it was ok for one person. However, the pizza… Thin crust, it was alright but nothing special. I made the mistake of having mine with salami which did not taste good and was too thickly cut to my liking. Pepperoni might’ve been a better choice. The service was nice. For the price(it was around 21 $ with a soda) I’d say it’s not worth it.

I get sad sometimes when I remember how Amicis used to be. I miss the crispy crust-I ask but it’s limp. For years it was always a good crust. They used to ask parm or peppers. Now they crawl back to there car after you sign the credit card slip. Tonight sucked even more-when u spend 6 dollars on 35 cents worth so romaine and 75 cents worth of Parm u hope to get the best Caesar salad dressing in the world but nope-forgot the dressing. I don’t mind spending the 51 dollars for a great meal but this was worth about 10 bucks. Might as well call Dominos so you don’t have to wait over an hour. Get better-please. I like you

3 stars at best. Pizza was fair would of been better maybe straight out of the oven, we had it delivered. It was a little over done fore our liking. Ravioli… frozen from the store is better. As for delivery. fast and very friendly.

Saturday lunch and destination is Amici’s for wings and pizza. We arrived around 12:40 and only a few in for lunch. This is great because nights get real busy at this place. We sat and was approached by a nice waiter that asked us about our drink choice. Water with lemon says we and next was the food, we will have the flame roasted wings with spicy seasoning and lemon. How about a pizza, good idea we say. We order the Calabria Pizza in a small size. No prob says the chap and away he goes. A decade passes and the wings come to the table. We ask, where is the water? An expression of shame on his face he shot across the room like Mama June getting to the buffet line and brought us two shimmering glasses of water with lemon. The wings had great flavor but lacked any crisp. These wings could have spent another couple minutes in the very hot oven. Suffice it to say we finished every last wing on the plate but again it was almost dinner time. Execution on the pizza was spot on. The last wing finished and here comes the Calabria Pizza. This bad boy features a thin crisp crust with mozzarella, provolone, pancetta and we opted for the green olives — no sauce. OMG, the flavors pop in your mouth. The saltiness of the pancetta, the creaminess of the mozzarella and the brine of the olive brought this dish together. Service is friendly but slow, wings are flavorful but lack in texture and the pizza is just friggen awesome. If service was just a bit better and wings in the oven for a couple more minutes this review would have received a 5 star +++.

I had a great time at Amici’s. Service was great, food was very good too. Went in last Friday night and it wasnt terrible busy which was a plus because we got a table very quickly and our drinks and food ordered in a jiff. The hostess and waitress were both very polite and efficient. As an appetizer we got a gnocchi to split and that was the only thing I wasn’t a very big fan of. It seemed a little bit hard for potato dumplings, and the flavor of the dumpling itself was very bland, but besides that the pizza was phenomenal and the salads were crisp, and while it was a bit pricey, I am eating in Danville and i thought it was well worth the buck. Thanks for a great night out!

I had a large chicken pizza and it was absolutely superb. Perfect. I’d venture to say it was on par with the best pizza I have ever had in my life. I had two slices left over and took it home. Usually what ends up happening is I’ll look at it later and just go «meh» and throw it out. In this case I couldn’t wait to get hungry again so I could devour the rest of this pizza. I’m not sure what they do differently, but you can taste it.

I’m from Philly and been eating pizza long enough to know what a good pizza is. Having moved to California, I haven’t yet found a good pizza place worth the big west coast price tag however, this place is worth every penny and I’d hate to admit it but it’s pretty dam close to east coast pizza, if not better. Give them a shot, I can attest that it lives up to what they aim to be. A good east coast style pizzeria. Just don’t go ordering things that do not belong on a pizza and expect it to be good like broccoli, kale, squash or crap that you Weirdies eat. If you’re not going to order a standup standup pizza, you should go eat a box of dandelions or whatever becomes a trend on MTV. Good pizza, try it.

On Saturday, 4÷5÷14, my girlfriend and I went to Danville to visit a friend. We were craving some pasta and pizza and decided to order Amici’s to go for dinner. I’ve been eating at Amici’s since 2003. The first Amici’s I ate at was in Dublin. The first time I ate at Amici’s I honestly thought it was the best pizza I ever had. I’m not sure if it was due to me only being 19 years old at the time and not really having an appreciation for food as I do now or maybe at the time it was the best pizza around. In my opinion, Amici’s is decent pizza/Italian food. It’s definitely not the best pizza around. So I guess it was the appreciation factor. I’ve never ate at the Danville Amici’s but we decided to give it a try. Atmosphere/Décor: The atmosphere and décor is really nice. This is definitely a nicer more up beat looking Amici’s compared to the Dublin location and few other locations in the bay area. But what do you expect, your in Danville, It’s all about the BENJAMINS baby! Food: We ordered a half baked, half combo/half butter nut squash/ricotta pizza. The butter nut squash/ricotta pizza is a special seasonal pizza they have on the menu. I’ve eaten the Amici’s combo numerous amounts of times. We also ordered the lasagna with meat sauce. When we arrived home, we put the pizza in the oven. When you place an order to go at Amici’s, you have the option of ordering your pizza fully cooked or half baked. I always go with half baked. Everyone knows if you reheat a slice of pizza in the microwave it turns into a greasy, limp, lifeless slice of pizza. No one wants that, right? Well maybe some people do, but not me. So any who, I got the pizza half baked. I put the pizza in the oven at 500 degrees. It cooks really fast cause its already half baked, everyone is thinking, duh! It takes roughly around 5 minutes to cook. Once the pizza is done cooking in the oven, you take it off the rack and slide it right back into the pizza box. The only issue with the half baked pizza is they don’t pre-slice/cut the pizza! You have to cut it yourself. I totally forgot about that so I had to use a huge kitchen knife to cut my pizza. I almost scratched my granite counter tops cause the dang knife cut right through the box. The Amici’s combo was decent. It wasn’t anything spectacular or to write home to Mom about. The meatball, bacon, olives, and caramelized onions tasted okay. The bacon didn’t taste good though. Now on to the other half: The butter nut squash ricotta pizza didn’t work for me. The pizza came with butter nut squash, ricotta cheese, caramelized onions and bacon. It just wasn’t good. The butter nut squash literally had no taste. The best thing on the pizza was the ricotta cheese. Something was off with the bacon this time. It didn’t taste good. It was really fatty as well. The lasagna with meat sauce was decent. It honestly tasted like a Stouffers lasagna you buy in the grocery store. It had a lot of cheese on it but they kind of skimped us on the meat sauce. There were only a few chunks of ground beef. There wasn’t that much meat in the actual meat sauce. Their lasagna and pizzas are super greasy. My plate from the lasagna was covered in grease from the meat sauce. Service: I can’t comment on the service since I was only in the restaurant for a few minutes to pick up my food to go. It seemed like the waiters and waitresses were nice. Overall: Amici’s tries to offer gourmet pizza but I feel like they fall short. Their pizzas are way over priced for what you really get. It’s all about quality and not quantity. Their are tons of better pizza places in San Francisco. If SF is too far for you give Amici’s a try, who knows, it might be your favorite East Coast Pizza. I highly doubt it though.
