Not worth it. The one star is because of the outside seating being an option. The waitress SPILLEDMYMOTHER’S DRINKONHERANDDIDNTREPLACEIT. We had to pay for the drink that was spilled. Ridiculous. She then proceeded to drop the silver ware of the table behind us and the food got all over my sweater. SHESAIDNOTHING, PICKEDUPTHESILVERWAREANDWALKEDAWAY. We were dumbfounded. Food, it was okay. The Stuffies are actually pretty good. I got fish tacos, they were okay. My mom got the Dijion Salmon, said it wasn’t very good. Just don’t dine there. I’ve heard their seafood is great(not our experience, but…) so just get that to go.

Stopped in for an early dinner last night with the family(grandma, two boys, me and the hubs) and had a great meal! The free bread basket was full of warm crusty rolls and herby bread, served with real butter. We went with the spinach and artichoke dip, which was served with house-made tortilla chips. Nice dip, went well with the cider I chose from the extensive wine/beer/cocktail menu. Lots of choices for entrees — our party had fried fish, burgers, salads, and kids meals, and all were great. Our server, Sarah, was friendly and attentive. Because we got there early in the evening(5pm), we didn’t have to wait for a table, but then place quickly filled up. A little more upscale than your typical 99 or NYAJ, but still a place you could bring kids and not feel out of place. We had a great time — good value for the quality of the food and service!

2nd time we’ve been there in 6 weeks. Our waitress, Janice, recognized us from the 1st visit and even remembered what we ordered. No «senior moment» for her! She was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow but I put it down to the food being cooked when we ordered it and not reheated in the microwave. In the meantime we snacked on cheese and crackers so no problem waiting a bit longer for a very nice meal. The bartender mixed a mean rum and coke on both visits. I could actually taste the rum! I hope both the bartender and Janice are there when we go back. I will probably be asked to sit in Janice’s area.

Danversport Grille & Bistro is a great place to eat. Lots of variable entrees to choose from– salads to seafood. Awesome food, atmosphere and Service. A favorite place to eat when visiting the North Shore.

Danversport is wonderful even in the winter. Our food was excellent! I ordered the Zuma Chicken sandwich which came with a side of the most delicious chipotle sauce I’ve ever had! My husband ordered a spinach salad topped with salmon(yes he is a picky/healthy eater) and he absolutely loved it too. Our boys got kids meals which were served in an adorable paper boat. The atmosphere was modern and casual. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We helped ourselves to the complementary crackers and cheese in the bar area. I guess you can only get this addictive cheese at lunchtime. We will definitely be back in the summer to try the patio seating with a view of the boats.

Recently we chose the Danversport Yacht Club as the venue to host my daughter’s wedding reception. It was a fabulous experience from start to finish. The functions managers, Paul and Ron were very experienced and helped me to choose a wonderful menu for the guests which included a cocktail hour, champagne toast, appetizers, cheese and veggie table, choice of entre, salad and dessert. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. My guests were amazed and delighted and raved about the food. The room sparkled and the entire arrangement of tables and food including wedding cake table was beautiful and inviting. The wait staff were professional and attentive yet unobtrusive. The entire experience was impeccable and I am very happy that we chose Danversport for our daughter’s wedding reception. I highly recommend this venue!

I first set foot in this place(down under the main building) around thirty years ago, and it has never once disappointed. The food and beverage service at the bar is fast and professional. Each year in February they do a «customer appreciation — price rollback», so the joint was mobbed on a Tuesday for lunch. There are eight unique draft selections at the bar, including Newbuyport Brewing’s Plum Island Belgian White and Wachusett Brewing’s Bella Czech Pils. The Fried Flounder Plate… light, golden-brown, and piled-high…has become a North Shore legend. Also on the roll-back menu were Chicken Piccata, Baked Scrod, and Prime Rib. This spot is very popular among the senior set, who always know fine quality at a great value.

My husband and I decided to go there last night. It was a Thursday evening in January so it wasn’t very busy. We asked for a high top in the bar area. We were seated promptly and then NEVER acknowledged. We sat and waited for about 15 minutes. Not one staff member came over to say they would be right with us or even pour us some water while we waited. We have been there many times and we know the service is slow but this was ridiculous. To top it off and quite frankly what really made me mad was that the owner was sitting at the bar the entire time and NEVER looked up from his drink… which looked to be a club soda with a lime. We will not be spending our money there any longer and I told everyone I know about this experience. Had it been busy I absolutely would have cut them some slack.

5 stars for the view, during a gorgeous summer day. 1 – 2 stars for the food and the indoor décor. If the food was better, this would be an amazing venue!

My review is of a very limited nature. I went here with a travel group and to give them their just due — they succeeded in producing a decent meal for 36 people. I had a fish bake of scrod, scallops and shrimp. Have I had better meals;Of, course I have. But all considered they did a good job. They also have sense to offer you cocktails, beer or wine on your nickel if you should so desire.

We were happy to find this restaurant in our neighborhood. The food and service was decent the first time we went, but then got worse each successive time we went! Scallops that were really under cooked, rice and potatoes that were lifeless and tasteless, and salmon with so much salt that you couldn’t taste it. After three additional attempts, we are now done with this restaurant. Looking forward to giving our money to people who put care in what they cook.

The food was great, but the service was slow. My party was sat in a corner of the restaurant where we could not take in the ambiance, nor could we see any other people. Granted, there was a wedding dinner rehearsal going on on the outside dining area, but still… the restaurant should be taking steps to prepare for that, not passing their inability to service the rest of the establishment onto its patrons. The meal took an hour for dinner to be served and no one bothered to check up on us to make sure that we were all right or if we needed anything. By the time the meal arrived, I was already full from eating the rolls. This was inexcusable and at least 2 people in our party were ready to cancel their order and leave. Once the meal was served, we hardly ever saw our server again, except when she placed down the check. I recommend this place for the food and the view, but be prepared to wait, wait, wait for your meal…

The last time I was here was my senior prom in 1977. There have been many positives changes since then not the least of which is their Grille and Bistro. They have dinning both inside and outside. 1. Service was good but a bit slow. This really is the only negative here which I attribute to understaffing. On a beautiful day with only a few tables occupied outside the wait was 30 minutes so we opted for eating inside. Clearly not a space issue so it must be a staffing issue. I was in no real hurry but if you are I suspect the lag time between ordering and the food arriving may be problematic. 2. They have a extensive and interesting lunch menu. I had pastrami on a pretzel roll which was fantastic. By the looks of the other orders everyone was happy with their choices. 3. These guys pour a solid cocktail. 4. Prices are very fair for the quality. 5. The atmosphere inside is nice and comfortable. 6. Vast parking lot so no issues finding a spot. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the considerable changes here over the years. Buck up the staffing and this will be 5 star establishment.

We attended a wedding here and were really surprised by how good the food was. Appetizers were plentiful and the dinner buffet featured a great carving station with beef. Other buffet items ranged from OK-good. The lower level featured a large dance floor but unfortunately didn’t take advantage of the water views. We were welcome to go outside whenever we wanted and take advantage of the water views on the patio. It’s a little strange that they feature 2 weddings at one time here but the staff is helpful in pointing you in the right direction. I believe they stagger the weddings so depending on the time you arrive, they know where to point you. We attended the 2nd wedding of the day and during the quiet moments of the ceremony we could hear some music faintly from the other wedding. Other then this minor gripe everything else went smoothly and we had a great time!

When making a decision for al fresco dining, The Bistro & Grill” at Danversport Yacht Club fits the bill. The patio and grounds are absolutely beautiful especially on a warm summer night. When I phoned for a reservation for 8, I was told that they do not do reservations for patio dining. that it’s a 1st come, 1st served kind of thing. Upon arrival, we were brought out to a large table all set up for our group, which was a wonderful surprise! The wait staff were very attentive. We all ordered our drinks, and I did ask if they still served cheese and crackers. I was told that they had ended it, which was somewhat disappointing– but no big deal. The bread/rolls made up for the absence of the cheese and crackers– all were warm and very good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals they ordered. Again, the wait staff very attentive, refilling water, drinks, and making sure we were comfortable. I will add that in all the years I’ve been coming here, I’ve never had a bad meal. it was such a nice and relaxing evening that it seemed a shame to have to leave. I will be returning though with more friends, in 2 weeks for one of their, «Party On The Patio» nights!

3 rd banquet here and the service is always the same. Waitstaff with frowns throwing your food on the table like they would rather be any where but here. I had to ask for my salad as the rest of the table had theirs but two of us did not. Not only did it take 10 minutes for the salad to come but it also came with no dressing and then within minutes my hot dinner was pushed onto the table as well. The salad dressing came 5 minutes later so I said«not much point now«the waitress Kaylee snatched it back and stormed away. I would hope that a wonderful establishment like this would improve on their staff. Oh wait we just got out cupcakes but no plates no napkins no coffee and wow all the wait staff has disappeared !!!

We went to DPYC for dinner with a small group. It was a positive experience. We had almost written it off due to declining service and food; saved it for only outdoor seating in good weather. BUT, recent Unilocal reviews have pointed to more positive views so we gave it a try. DPYC has renovated and trimmed down their meneu. Some of the old staples are gone like the turkey dinner, liver&onions, stuffed chickedn breast, etc. There is no more cheeze and crackers before dinner arrives. There seemed to be a reasonable selection on the menu allbeit priced up a bit. They do have entres and sandwiches, and good drinks of course. Everyone said the food was delicious. The bistro steak and the pasta dishes were well liked. I had the fish&chips; thought it was a bit greasy. DPYC has also worked on the presentation. Many of the plates are not round but long rectangle. Fish&chips came in a box with paper that looked like newspaper. It does put a bit of the whimscal into the experience. And the service was really good too. So all together it was a good experience, better than we expected. We will go back again to see if they keep up the good efforts.

The«Grille and Bistro» has undergone some significant changes over the past several years, and is definitely worth checking out! The restaurant has been around for a long time but they renovated the interior to give it a much more modern vibe. The best part of the renovation is undoubtedly the outdoor patio, on which they are able to offer waterfront outdoor dining(one of very few restaurants on the north shore that has this!) The menu changes seasonally and they always have creative new additions. They offer all the same classics that they used to, but have added some fresh new ideas, as well. We recently went on a Friday night and were blown away by the live music playing in the bar area. The prices are reasonable and the quality, value are consistent. Go soon for a delightful night out and you will be pleased!

I went to a wedding at the Danversport Yacht Club a few weekends ago. It was picture perfect. The staff, venue, and food was above and beyond. Let’s start with the staff… all helpful, friendly faces. Non intrusive, happy to joke around, and working hard. Bravo! The location? Can’t get better than that. The inside is very beautiful, and if you look closely, you’ll notice the details. including beautiful wallpaper. The outdoors could use a little sprucing(we noticed the wedding trellis needed some paint) but over all, so gorgeous. We were in the upstairs area… a big room with a wall of windows, and a cool ceiling. There was an outdoor patio for us to drink on, and we also had appetizers outdoors. It was gorgeous weather, but while we were inside for dinner, there was a big thunder storm. It was gone by the time we finished… so we headed back outdoors! Great view of the water and boats. The food was really what pushed it over the top. While the fare was typical wedding… stuffed chicken, filet mignon, the execution was impeccable. Everything was well seasoned, hot and delicious. There were passed appetizers of meatballs, spring rolls, and coconut chicken. There were also cheese plates, which had a good selection. Our dinner had a salad with strawberries, italian wedding soup(amazing), hot rolls, and filet mignon with broccoli and mashed potatoes. They used salt and pepper like pro’s…as they should. If my wedding wasn’t already booked, I would go for the Danversport Yacht Club. I wish I had known before!
