I always loved this place but overtime it has not been a pleasant experience especially last night. I walked in with very hungry children and ordered two pies and pasta. At the counter I was asked twice if i was taking it to go or staying I said we were staying and then asked a third time as we were sitting at the table and I said again no we are staying. We all grabbed drinks and sat at the table. After 25minutes everyone was starving and I asked the waitress how long and she said not much longer. about 40 minutes later the kids couldnt take it anymore and my mom finally went to the counter and the very tall guy with the salt and pepper hair RUDELY said its been here for 20 minutes. At that point I said I cant believe you see me sitting here and I have been asked three times if we were staying and you never came to the table. I then brought my pies in a box to the table and no one offered to bring plates, nothing. I asked the very rude waitress if we can have plates and very unhappily gave them to us. The staff was so rude that I will never walk in there again and give them my business. I still cannot believe how rude everyone was knowing thay made a mistake and didnt want to help make the situation better. I guesssome people are very miserable at their jobs and dont care about building a better business, especially when there are many other places like Vera’s, Stanziato’s which give great customer care and welcome you the minute you come in the door.

This place is great. Their pizza is easily the best I this area. I moved to LA several years ago and this is always a place I have to hit up when I come home. The staff is great and always greet us with a friendly welcome. I would(and do) recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for good pizza, sandwiches, salads, or Italian food in genera.

The food was excellent… the prices were excellent… two entrees for $ 29.99…you can’t beat it! Staff was very friendly and attentive… I’m not sure why the other reviews did not reflect this… it was a great eating experience… I will be coming back…

Mediocre pizza at really high prices. Rude staff and a décor that makes me feel like I’m eating at a community center. Just go to the food court in the Danbury mall right next door.

Sinapi’s is simple italian food with generous portions and affordable prices. I read the reviews and was worried people would be rude but the opposite was true in my experience. Everyone was friendly and it seemed like they knew a lot of the regulars and that it was a family run place.

The guys who own this place are rude as hell. But the Buffalo Chicken pizza is pretty good… Kinda pricey.

Great options for slices. Nice guys behind the counter. Good casual place to relax a bit, good for kids. Counter service, you order in front of the kitchen and self-serve soft drinks. Lots of variety of slices that they heat up in the oven nice and quick. Tasty garlic knots. Worth a pop in while you are shopping for a quick bite and a break. I had a chicken marsala slice which was really good.

I live in the area and I’m very familiar with the food and help in this place. If you are looking for five star Italian in Danbury, there are plenty of other places to go nearby. This isn’t that place. I would recommend sitting down and ordering fresh pizza or food or whatever it is you came in looking for. The women that wait tables are extremely good at what they do and the food is standard, very good quality Italian. Is it unique? No. Is it fast and reasonably priced and consistently good? Absolutely. My kids drag me in there whenever we need a quick bite to eat and I have yet to be disappointed. If you are a pizza snob and like Ray’s pizza from NYC or the like, don’t go for slices. Waste of time. You need to order a fresh pizza from a waitress. This is not a good place for pizza by the slice!!! Stick with a waitress or take out and you’ll be fine.

Good pizza in a convenient location if you are shopping at Christmas Tree Shop, Barnes & Noble, Toys R Us or other stores in this shopping plaza. It is thin crust, NY style and you can order pies or slices. They also serve some other Italian fare, but never tried anything other than the pizza. Would not make a special trip to eat here, but again will do to trick if you are shopping in this plaza.

My favorite pizza place in town! Friendly staff and pizza with just the right amount of sauce, cheese and grease! I’ve been eating here my whole life and even after moving to Boston, I make a point to visit each time I’m home in CT. Big menu and all of it is good! Just fantastic

I have been going here for 18 years. I read the reviews on the place and feel the need to add my unsolicited two cents. Yes, it does have the ambiance of a bowling alley, and yes the man behind the counter is lacking in custom service skills, but the food really is good. The man behind the counter that everyone complains about is from Italy, served in the Italian Army and has a hard time hearing. He is in his seventies and is at the restaurant every single day working his butt off. If you engage him in conversation he is quite kind and loves to hear your stories. My favorite dish here is the pasta fagioli, a «must try» if you go. The prices are quite reasonable, the servings are abundant. I suggest getting take out and finding another atmosphere in which to enjoy your meal.

This is by far the best pizza in the area, this place has been a staple in the Danbury area since the Mall has opened up. You would have to be silly not to think the food was not good here. I would advise all to go in to have a slice of pizza and enjoy it. You will not be disappointed.

I have to admit that I’m a bit of a pizza snob. The sauce, crust and cheese ratio is everything when it comes to good pizza, and if a restaurant can make a mean cheese pizza, then they have won me over. That being said, I’ve found Sinapi’s pizza to be really inconsistent. Some days the slices are better then others, but they are consistent in the area of rude employees. If you venture over to Sinapi’s around, say 12 noon, the pizza is far better than the pizza around 3pm. My guess is because the 3pm pizza is left over from the rush of unsuspecting customers who work around right around the bend. But then again maybe they aren’t unsuspecting and just enjoy mediocre pizza. Anyway, back to the inconsistency. I had a slice about 4 weeks ago and the crust was nice and crunchy with the right amount of cheese although the sauce can use some tweaking. Maybe a lot of tweaking. I had another slice just this afternoon and it reminded me of a pizza that comes out of the freezer section at the grocery store. Needless to say I didn’t finish my slice and wasted $ 2.50. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. It’s bad enough that the pizza isn’t anything to write home about, but then you are being helped by rude employees who make you want to reach across the counter and smack them.

Pizza is good. Prices are pretty good. Toppings are plentiful — good ziti, lasagna, chicken parm, chicken marsala pizza — nothing too, too, creative. Service is a little odd — trust me, they must be doing something right because the place is very popular and they are always busy. I just, personally, don’t like seeing my pizza being man-handled by sweaty guys in Hanes undershirts… but it hasn’t stopped me from eating there!

Best pizza in the area. I’ve been going there for over a decade, and the food is consistently good. Excellent if you want a quick good bite. My favorite: Ziti pizza(pizza with baked ziti as the topping — yum!)

Rude, arrogant help. Food is OK. The man serving the pizza gave me pizza I didn’t want and then told me it was all he had.
