Listen, I don’t leave reviews for anything, good or bad experiences, but I had the GREATEST experience here with my girlfriend, I couldn’t help myself but express how I feel. The food was delicious, perfectly portioned, and decently priced, and the service was top notch! Definitely recommend!

Della is fantastic!!! We go to Della every time we make it over to the Danbury mall. Which is usually about once a month. The cavatelli bolognese is spectacular. Service is fantastic. Mike is on top of everything and makes sure our visit is special every time we come in.

I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant! I drive by this almost every evening, and it’s always packed. So I decided to drag my family there. We were all pleasantly surprised! The servers were amazing– never waited for a thing with them, and they always kept our glasses full, appropriate silverware, and table clean! Everything was amazing. I studied in Firenze for four months, so my taste buds know a thing or two about authentic Italian cuisine. I got the Risotto con Funghi and actually teared up as I ate it. That good. The pasta dishes were great as well– tasted freshly made(but may need to fact check me on that one). Definitely a great place to go for a celebration with friends or family!

The food is great, try the oysters on the half shell. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and Carla can mix a drink, especially an espresso martini, like no other. Great place and deserving of 5 stars. Sat night. Had the calamari and clams in the half shell. Great!

My friends and I were in town for the American College Theater Festival this past week, and one of our typical traditions is to do a group dinner the night of the awards ceremony! Since one of our advisors has a serious soy allergy, she is limited in which restaurants she can eat at. Luckily, Della Francesca fit the bill! Della Francesca is much fancier a restaurant than we typically partake in(we’re more the Unos’ or Olive Garden type – broke college student friendly, essentially), so many of us had to really watch our wallet. Still, the pricing was on par with the average North End restaurant in Boston, meaning that most options wavered between $ 19 and $ 23. The seafood was the priciest, and chicken and plain pasta the cheapest. I found that by ordering a soup and salad(pasta fagioli for $ 6 and and Insalata Della Casa for $ 7), I received ample food and was quite content by the end of the meal! I’m certainly glad I did – the soup especially was fantastic. It was creamier rather than a broth, filled with white beans and perfectly al dente pasta, often difficult to find in soups. The salad had arugula, spinach and mixed greens, topped with nuts, bleu cheese, and a vinaigrette. I probably would have been just fine with the soup, but I’m ultimately satisfied with both of my choices! In terms of food, there was nary a complaint from the 17 of us there – taste, portion, and presentation were all incredible! I was very impressed with the service as well – I’m sure it’s difficult to handle a huge party like ours and they were very attentive, constantly filling our water and asking us about our food, My one significant is with their handling of allergies. Like I mentioned, my supervisor has a soy allergy, and I didn’t hear her interaction with our waiter but my friend sitting next to me had a very difficult time discussing her serious shellfish allergy. She was trying to ask if they could cook her chicken on a separate grill if they didn’t already do so and he continued to cut her off and dismiss her concern quite rudely without hearing her actual questions. He could have been having a poor day, but an allergy is nothing to brush off. All in all, pretty good!

I give this place 5 stars because it deserves it. In the six months that I got to live in the New York area I went to many Italian restaurants looking for food that taste like REAL Italian food. Like the kind I have eaten in Tuscany, Sorrento, Florence… While visiting friends in Danbury I stumbled across this place and we decided to give it a try and it was awesome. Delicious!!! It is not cheap. The four of us ordered nice plates and two nice bottles of some of their best chianti. It was about $ 260 and it was worth it. I hate paying a lot and feeling like the place was mediocre afterwards. But when you eat here you are still thinking about it a few days later. I have eaten here twice and the flavors have been consistent. The same Italian server has served us both times(I think he might be the owner) and both times he has given is excellent service. The place is quite enough that you can have nice conversations. If you are looking for a nice once a week Italian restaurant or celebrating something nice I recommend this place.

So let me start off by saying that I live in Danbury and love going out to eat. This place is by far the best place I’ve eaten. Della Francesca is my new number one favorite restaurant. The food is amazing. I was taken so off guard on how good it was. Made me want to go in the back and thank the chef. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars was because of a rude comment that was made by our server, Michael. The bus boy and the manager were great. All and all I had an amazing experience. Ps: I tried the chocolate lava cake. Not so great. No lava inside the chocolate cake. Cake was pretty dry.

WOW!!! From the moment we walked into this restaurant they made us feel welcomed. Besides the the professional service the food was spectacular. I love Italy and since I go there once a year I can truly say their mushroom ravioli was authentic. So creamy and tasty just perfect paired with the ruffino Oro Chiati wine … hmmmm hmmm its to die for! The staff was so attentive to us. I will definitely come back when I’m in Danbury again.

The food is okay. Nothing I’ve ever eaten here has blown me away. The reason for a one star rating is the service. The service is by far the worst service I’ve ever had at any restaurant. We waited two hours for dinner to come out. I’ve eaten here before and this is always the case. The icing on the cake tonight was that one of our meals was forgotten. Everyone else almost finished their meals before the forgotten meal finally came. We had to complain to get the item removed from the bill. When they finally agreed to remove the meal, the waiter came over to argue with us. I will never eat again at this restaurant where the staff has no respect and zero customer service.

Such a beautiful place for a romantic dinner, which our family called an «experience» instead of just a dinner. The food was amazing and the waiters were very kind, would definitely recommend.

Saturday 8 March 2014, the bar was not crowded since it was still early for the bar/dinner patrons; the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. We received great service from our bartender Denise(5 stars); we ordered the Bar Anti(Pasti) Classico it was fresh and with tasty cheeses and meats(very good). Denise was very good so good in fact that she sold us on in my opinion some of the worst pasta primavera(Tagliatele Primavera), it was overcooked not just the pasta but also the vegetables. My boyfriend had the chicken parmesan, the flavor was not unlike canned sauce packed with sugar, and the penne was also a bit overcooked and tasteless. We will not return for dinner, perhaps to visit the bar and have a few drinks and nothing else.

Della Francesca is amazing, and easily one of the best Italian restaurants in the Danbury area. This restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, excellent food, a great wine selection and a very friendly staff. This restaurant is perfect for special occasions, for family gatherings, or just for a great lunch anytime. Service was fast, friendly and very attentive. I strongly suggest the Pollo Salsicia, and cannot wait to return again.

I come here every time I’m in town visiting family. The service is amazing the owner almost always comes out to greet us and they are just incredibly professional and efficient. My water glass is never less than half full, something I always appreciate. Now let’s talk food. The veal is amazing. The Sea bass is amazing. Try any one of their fresh pasta dishes and you will be in love instantly. Every experience I have had here has earned five stars. I am going to try to convince my family we should come again before I leave next week.

We had their Prix Fixe Menu for our Rehearsal Dinner last month. We sat in the semi-private dining room in the back. There was a plethora of food choices. Everyone had a plate of antipasto, salad, pasta, and dessert(tiramisu & mango sorbet). For the entrée, we had the option of salmon, veal or chicken. Everything was delicious and presented beautifully. The sauces on the entrees weren’t too creamy or heavy. The service was outstanding. The wine menu was exceptional. We would definitely come back again.

GREATSERVICEANDGREATFOOD! BESTITALIANRESTAURANTINTHEDANBURYAREA! since i have been here about 2000000 times I can basically tell you about the entire menu .(.if its able to be done gluten free). some of my favorites consist of the lobster and king crab appetizer. It is already prepared and ready to eat so there is no struggle getting the meat out! I also LOVELOVELOVE the coconut shrimp and especially the sauce that comes with it ! You cant go wrong with the seafood dishes at this place. I love the seabass but also LOVE the veal. the veal is pounded so thin and it just melts in your mouth. The seabass can be prepared different ways, but i like it a little spicy. the Chicken caesar salad is really good too. How hard is it to make a good caesar salad? ITSNOT… but the chicken is what does it for this dish. the flavor has a lemon zest taste and is also pounded so nicely and has not even a little bit of dryness to it! It can be fancy in the dining room so if you are looking for a nice place that is quiet with a beautiful atmosphere, this would be my choice on millplain road.
