Burger was a little on the dry side; good prices, sweet potato fries were excellent. Felt foolish having to do these tiny zig-zag moves(6 times) to reach the register when there wasn’t even a line. Could have just waked 2 paces and been there.

Finally tried this place, sampled the other location in walnut creek, lets just say walnut creek’s was better staffed and food prep was better. At the daly city location I sampled there #2 double char double patty burger with cheese, lettuce, grilled onions, mayo, tomatoes, and some other stuff sadly I was not impressed, line was semi long about 12 people in front of me and seating was limited unless you eat outside, where there was plenty of seating I honestly believed the walnut creek restaurant was better, super greasy, patty was just ok, flavor was overpowered with the excess of lettuce and excess cheese on this burger, the fries were standard no frills there either, if I do come back it will probably to try the salads??? Yes I know it was that unappetizing. If your looking for a filler, and dont care on taste or quality, try there burgers If you want a real burger just head over to red robins in san bruno or the counter in san mateo if you like chains they do a better job and are consistent. Ordered togo, 5min to get home, sadly I dont think I will be back Food ** burger chain, poorly executed, super greasy, overpowered with cheese and lettuce for the double char burger Price$$ Service **** they are quick and efficient I will give them that and very helpful Ambiance **** nice setup on inside and outside seating would be ideal it daly city has hot weather sadly it is always foggy and cold in dc

Finally decided to try this place. Ive heard mixed reviews so i was hesitant at first. My boyfriend and I came in on a saturday afternoon. The place was pretty packed but we managed to find a table. Theres seating outside with heated lamps but we are in Daly City and it could get really cold sometimes. I ordered their original char burger and added avocado and bacon with sweet potato fries on the side. My boyfriend ordered a steak sandwich with sweet potato fries as well. I loved what I ordered! I tried some of my boyfriends steak sandwich and I didnt really like it. It sort of lacked taste and the meat was tough. Our fries though! So yummy. This place is yummy and will satisfy your burger cravings.

I’ve had their charburger before and it was pretty good. But their burger taste similar to in-n-out’s but in-n-out will always be better. This time I wasn’t craving a burger so I got the tri tip sandwich. The sandwich was surprisingly good although it just consisted of small pieces of steak, mayo, and lettuce on a sourdough bread. But I still rather choose in-n-out over this place.

This is a nice spot for fulfilling your burger/sandwich cravings. The selection they have is decent and the cashiers seem to always ask if you want specific toppings which is great for those that are picky. The environment seating is pretty well thought out, with nice outside seating. Some things that could be improved on was the line to order. When it does get a little packed, the line stretches outside the door and sucks when it is a hot day. Overall the location and food is great and the pricing is reasonable compared to other burger places. Update: I always have to remind the cashier to give me a soft drink cup after ordering.

I think the Habit Burger is just okay. Me and CL got the free cheeseburger coupons otherwise we wouldn’t even go there. I got the cheeseburger which was decent and also the tempura green beans. I don’t know maybe it’s just me but I like to have tempura with tempura sauce and not ranch. It didn’t taste right to me. Also there’s not enough seating in this location. We had to wait for people to leave before we got a table. And people were waiting for us to leave as well. On the plus side, their sweet potato fries were good and crispy.

Santa Barbara is my favorite place in the entire world!!! So The Habit Burger is very special to me! This location was great. The cashier was friendly and I loved the outdoor seating specially cause it was roasting outside! I recently had the Charburger w/cheese(protein style) along with a side of the Tempura Green Beans! Omggg I forgot how amazing those were. that ranch sauce though!!!

Tried Habit due to the free promotion that was running last month. So after a few of us had entered and had a disappointing Easter Egg hunt near by, we decided to use the promotion for lunch. So I began ordering a 3 of the orders on mine, not knowing my wife had her own. So the guy stated that the orders had to be run up separately, so I let him scan the 1st one and he moved to the next. After the 2nd order I see my wife ordering her own, but since I had 3, I ordered mines. During the 2nd order I asked for a drink too, so he said he’ll add it to the next order. He ended up scanning all 3 barcodes and when asked about my 3rd order he says it was on my wife’s. After the food arrives, there was only a total of 3 when 4 barcodes scanned. I asked the manager who referred me back to the cashier who now denies scanning 3 barcodes. At that point, I said it wasn’t worth all this trouble for a $ 3 burger. I tried contacting Habit on Twitter, but got a generic reply of how they were sorry. The burgers tasted somewhat between a cross of McDonald’s and In&Out. Won’t be coming back. The parking lot is horrible and this place has no seating.

This place has a great seating area out front and inside. The menu has the usual stuff, broiled flamed burgers, fries and shakes. I tried it for the first time and i actually liked it. I got the burger with cheese, fries, and a drink. I have to admit, it’s not like other burgers. The flavor was there and I was impressed. The cashiers are very helpful if it’s your first time and they walk you through the order.

I go here sometimes because it is very close to my house. The service at the cashier counter is usually pretty slow. Even when the line is short it usually takes a while just to order. The cashier has to tell you that they need a minute to yell out your order to the cooks before you are able to pay for your order. The place can get pretty packed so save yourself a seat! There is also outdoor seating with heat lamps which I think is pretty cool but can also be a bummer in the Daly City rainy weather. The food itself is not bad for a quick burger fast food place. I like that they have a variety of options and the tempura green bean fries are unique. The food prices are decent and they offer special coupons for people that are members online! I definitely hate parking here… the lot is shared by a ton of other stores and restaurants… it can be really hard to find a spot!

It was a 12 o’ clock weekday and it was time for me to decide on what I should eat for the day. I came across a dilemma. Should I eat healthy and dine at Panera or treat myself for a juicy burger and fries at the Habit. You can see where I’m going with this, I obviously chose to eat at The Habit. OHBOY, was it a great decision! In order to compromise my decision in choosing a BURGER rather than a SALAD, I opted for a Kid’s Meal. Thus, practicing«portion control» didn’t make me feel as bad for consuming a high caloric meal. At around $ 5.00, I ordered a Kid’s Meal which included a Charbuger with cheese, fries, apple juice and fruit gummies. It was just the right amount of delicious and satisfying. Now on to the burning question… Is it better than it’s rival competitor, In-n-out? I would have to say, no. As much as The Habit’s Burger are good, it’s just the little brother to the big brother that rules all things, In n Out.

This restaurant has definitely been a hit since it has opened… making the other side of serramonte mall way more popular. I usually order either the Mushroom Char or Teriyaki Char and a side of Tempura Green Beans & ranch. The burgers are stuffed and the green beans, in my opinion, taste better than their fries/sweet potato fries!(and also makes you feel a little healthier too!) Whenever I place my order, they always say«let me go give your order to the chefs»… but I think its just for show lol cause I’ve totally seen the person taking my order walk to the corner and walk back without saying anything. But nonetheless, the workers there are alway really friendly!

Really decent burger joint In the shopping plaza near Serramonte. I love their onion rings and mushroom burger and a side of ranch sauce! Sometimes it may seem like there is a long line but the wait actually is not as long as you would think. This place is definitely worth a try if you haven’t been here yet.

One of my favorite fast food places! I love the variety that’s available — burgers, sandwiches, vegetarian options, salads, options for kid meals, shakes/malts, yummy sides, etc! I usually opt for the teriyaki char or the BBQ bacon char with added avocado! The sauces are a good amount; not too overpowering but good enough to give the overall taste some flavor. They have amazing sides, specifically the tempura green beans and sweet potato fries! The onion rings are good as well… regular french fries are nothing special to me. I love how they offer ranch for dipping too! The shakes/malts have great texture and flavor… not impossibly thick and not too watery thin. Only gripe is that the line and wait can get long. Also, hunting for a table may be hard too, depending on when you go. Service has always been outstanding — never have I encountered anything short of excellent customer service!

I decided to finally give The Habit in Daly City a try when I had a craving for a bacon burger, especially since I missed having any bacon on International Bacon Day this past weekend. I’ve been to The Habit in San Mateo before a couple of times, but both times didn’t really impress me. This time around though, the DC location didn’t disappoint me. It was probably because at San Mateo, I wasn’t really ordering the right burger catered to my own tastes. Their Original Char was good but didn’t blow my mind. However, with this visit to Daly City Habit, they hit all the right notes for me with their BBQ Bacon Char and Tempura Green Beans, with the latter I never knew they had before, even in San Mateo. BBQ Bacon Char – bbq sauce, bacon, grilled onions, pickles, mayo. Opted with no lettuce and no tomatoes. I opted for no lettuce or tomatoes just like how I do my burgers at In-N-Out and Five Guys. This was definitely a good burger! Much better than the Original Char I had at San Mateo Habit. The bbq sauce had a good sweet hickory flavor, the grilled onions added even more sweet flavor, and they put a good amount of bacon. The best part was that my burger wasn’t dry this time like it was at SM Habit. I enjoyed every bite! Tempura Green Beans – Oh man, these are so good! And they come with a ranch dipping sauce! These took me back to my days at TGI Friday’s! I always ordered these there. Unfortunately the closest location to me closed down(San Mateo), so it’s great to know I have a spot nearby my place to pick these up for snacking or to pair with my burger. Luckily for me, I stopped over at around 10pm so I didn’t have to deal with those long lines and parking woes during peak hours. The location is nice, especially with their outdoor patio, which I do think is sort of an odd option because weather there can get really chilly, especially at night. But since the weather has been nice as of late, now would be a good time to take advantage of it and enjoy a burger outside. I have a newly found respect for The Habit at the Daly City location. Though my go-to will always be In-N-Out, Daly City Habit’s late hours, solid burgers, and Tempura Green Beans have gained my attention and I will surely be back for more.

A decent addition to the Gellert Square Marketplace(is that what that area is called? I live nearby and yet I don’t know lol) especially since the only place that had burgers around that area was McDonalds. or Elephant Bar at the mall. I’ve tried the Habit Burger Grill in Elk Grove and I thought it was pretty decent. Pros: — Spacious interior — Parking lot is vast, so there’s almost always parking somewhere. — Simple menu consists of burgers/sandwiches, salads, sides, and beverages — Available seating indoors as well as outdoors — Service is fast and efficient — Since it’s inside the plaza, you’re near a lot of stores now. Cons: — Slightly pricey. You could get a similar meal at In N Out for a cheaper price. — When ordering salad, you MUST remind them to add dressing… which is weird since normally you should already know to add the dressing into the bag. Overall a decent place to go to if you’re feeling a bit lazy to head over to In N Out :).

I normally don’t review chains but I felt I would make the exception for The Habit. I read somewhere that The Habit was voted the best place to grab a burger or something to that effect. In any case, I knew I wanted to try it someday. Last week I had the opportunity to finally see if the hype had any merit. While the specialty burgers were calling my name, I decided to stick with the #1 combo to have a fair baseline. In the end, while the burger was acceptable when you stack it up against In N Out the price point and flavors easily goes to In N Out. I believe I spent close to $ 8 at The Habit while the same combo would be around $ 5 at In N Out. Now granted, the patties are similar in In N Out, I’ll take flavor over quantity. The abundance of outdoor seating is a nice touch, just wish all the car traffic wasn’t there! Overall Thoughts Next time, I’ll try double patty or the specialty before I rule out The Habit

Was craving a burger so this spot popped up on my Unilocal list. Ordered a simple Charburger, no cheese, only $ 3.15! Enjoyed it immensely, so juicy and fresh ingredients! And they have an open jalapeño/hot pepper bar next to the ketchup station where you pick your order up. The girl who took my order couldve been a little more friendly. The other staff made up for her shortcomings. After you order they give you those buzzers that buzz and light up when ready. Not bad, waited maybe 10mins… so delicious! Located conveniently in the Gellert Marketplace(at the far left end across from Sprouts/Bed Bath & Beyond). Parking can get busy here during lunchtime, but it’s a big lot so there should be something after a small hunt. I got here on a Thurs @11:45am and there were a few stalls open towards the end near Sprouts. It was so good I ordered a double char burger to go so my honey could try it out. I ate a third of his burger and it was still yummy at home(after popping it in the oven). I hope to come back for more!

Love Love Love. Yum Yum! Need I say more? This place is very comparable to In N Out Burger. Super fresh and such a great addition to the neighborhood. But they should put out a warning. If you’re in a .5 mile radius of the restaurant you will want to go in because the smell this place produces is off the hook! I think we went here maybe 4 times in the first month it was opened and have had to take a little break based on the tightness of our pants. Just writing this review reminds me that I need to go back! So, moral of the story. Eat it!

Yummm I love The Habit Burger!!! Probably my favorite out of all fast food burger chains(yes, even over in n out!!!)! Whenever i’m craving a burger this is definitely the spot. You can even smell them cooking the meat from outside! I’ve had the teriyaki char, the mushroom char, and the bbq bacon char, and i’ve gotta say, I think the bbq bacon is my favorite! The bacon is always crispy and the bbq sauce makes the burger really good. The patty is a good size and cooked well, and the bun has crispy edges! Sometimes I splurge on cheese but I find that i’m still satisfied without it when I order the bbq bacon. All the burgers here are very inexpensive too. My bf and I ordered 2 burgers with sweet potato fries and tempura green beans, and our total was around $ 16. So affordable! One of the things that stands out is definitely the tempura green beans! Get a side of ranch and they’re the perfect fries substitute… I even like them better than fries! I’ve tried the sweet potato fries as well and they’re really tasty too! I still wanna try the onion rings because I’ve seen them before and they look soo good, but I can never stray away from the green beans! Also, something about the Habit is that they try to make the burger actually look like the burgers you see in their ads! They make sure that every bite has one of every element in their burger – not like one bit is all bun and tomato and lettuce and then the next you have the burger. Everything is pretty perfectly stacked! The service is always friendly here and I like how they pickup your tray after you eat. The employees at the cashiers are good at giving recommendations too!
