If there were ever a nationwide chain store for phở, this would be how the concept is properly done. I agree with another reviewer here that if a phở place can do better, it’s shows dedication and skill. The ones that do worse in the same geographical area would probably be eliminated. The noodles, soup, meat are all set at a ratio that is exactly average among all phở restaurants. The flavors are very standard, and serving time is fast. If you take a peek at the kitchen while going to the bathroom, this place has obviously turned making phở into an efficient and clean assembly line. Anyone who is trying phở for the first time would be well advised to make this his first stop. For being the first or one of the first super standard phở restaurants, this place deserves 4 stars.

new location! they’ve taken over a previous phở restaurant and made it better. all the essentials are still there; unfortunately they don’t have special items like bun bo hue. ordered a beef stew egg noodle and fresh shrimp rolls. kevin’s noodle house never fails! this location seemed to deliver bigger portions than the one in Westlake. im assuming it’s because it’s less crowded here so they have more time and focus to make their food taste even bettah! only con is they’re in the same plaza as ranch 99 and parking in this plaza is hell.

I got agree with the reviewer from 5÷15÷16, the ‘phở’ quality lacks in this place. My shrimp plate barely had any shrimp and my husband’s dish, had very fatty very very thin slices of pork. We both were left with a TON of rice to consume for a whooping $ 10 dollars per plate. I don’t know you, but I’m not happy when I pay $ 10 for a plate of rice. My dish was probably worth $ 5.(I say next time better go across the street at Trader Joe’s and buy one of those microwavable rice packets, pour some sauce and pay less). Lastly, the service we both agreed, was rushed. We felt like a herd being pushed to order, pay and leave! And since we came with a child, we got put on the farthest corner of the place along with the other couple with kids. NOT going back again.

came again with my wife, and this time it’s not a full house like last time. again, the service is very fast, and also VERY courteous… I mean, how many waiter/waitress from a Vietnamese restaurant hand you a requested small bowl with both hands? the bowls are very big, and a LOT of noodles. my wife’s beef tripe bowl barely had any beef tripes… and our beef are very overcooked, we thought we ordered the«rare» beef. i’ll leave it at 5 stars because i wanna encourage the service here… but i hope the phở quality picks back up a bit…

The Westlake location is a bit better, but this one is less crowded the times I come. I much prefer Ben Tre both in SSF and Millbrae, but sometimes when I go shopping at Ranch 99 — Kevin’s does the job. The portions have shrunk for sure. At the end of the day I’m meh about this place — and you just frankly can do much better with Phở elsewhere. That said, it’s decent.

So glad this spot opened up so my boyfriend and I don’t have to deal with Westlake’s crazy wait time anymore. We never have to wait upon arriving to this location and their staff are a lot nicer than Westlake’s. Although they’re nicer, they have a hard time understanding you if you’re trying to request for something(like extra sauce or to go box). You’d have to repeat yourself a few times or signal it with your hands for them to understand. My boyfriend’s go-to is #1, but the broth is either a hit or miss. I like ordering their vermicelli(#54), but I noticed they gave larger portions when they first opened compared to now. At one point they gave such a small amount of BBQ chicken/pork and all that was left were noodles. I ordered vermicelli to go once and they definitely skimped on the meat as well. Other than that, people here are attentive and service is quick.

Good Phở Great Price awesome service clean everything and new, very nice. You have to see my pic of the large seafood bowl. That thing is the size of my torso. It looks like a college food challenge gig and it even tastes good! Spring rolls were fresh, sauce was good, real tea cups with a big pot of tea. My kind of phở! It’s new it’s big, and being from Esj I get shocked at clean restrooms and clean utensils and tables. Even our new places age quickly. Now here’s something I’d never seen at a phở place, I barely start to make my way to the restroom and like the entire enthusiastic staff was like how ya doing watchya need can I get you anything? And like the water dude is practically running at me holding the pitcher, I’m giggling uh, I need the restroom and everyone’s like right this way! Okay if the food blew my socks off I’d give 5 stars but it was good so I’ll give 4. Today’s staff gets ten for being a phở team I’ve never seen. 4 stars

I knew this place for a years and often coming here for lunch and dinner… It WAS one of my favorite«noodle points» in the city. But is NOT now. Guess today its my last time. Why? Because the service there getting being worst. And each time then I came and ordered the Beef Noodle Soup, the meat becomes less and less. Just a noodle and few smallest pieces on top. That’s ridiculous! I’m asked for supervisor, but they sent for conversation one old mostly English unspeakable server who said«Is no supervisor there»… For my question, — «How many ounces of meet have to be per serving» he looked at my bowl and said: «You tried…» and just left!!! I was like — WTF??? Resume: I will not come again. Bad service, dirty tables, unqualified personal and(most important) — NOMEAT in the noodle…

Considering how this is their sixth(and newest) location in the Bay Area, one thing is clear — whoever this Kevin fellow is, he clearly knows his stuff. If that wasn’t enough proof, you really don’t have to look far for more; for so many people, Phở Huynh Hiep is seemingly their«go-to spot» for phở and the like. Although, unfortunately, I can’t say that’s the case for me… While I may not be as impressed with their food as other people, everything else about this place is pretty solid. If you’ve been to any of their other locations, things will look all too familiar — lots of big tables, relatively quick service, a line that generally moves pretty quickly, and servers taking orders on tablets(they’re the most technologically advanced phở joint I’ve been to). Most importantly though, the menu is just as extensive and diverse, with just about something for everyone. Since I was feeling pretty hungry, I wanted to get something heftier than my usual order of Phở Tai Nam. As such, I opted to try what is essentially their house combination —(#2) DACBIETBOVIEN — Special Combo with Medium Rare Steak, Well-Done Brisket, Flank, Tendon, Tripe, and Beef Meatballs(Large, $ 9.75). Compared to others I’ve had, this one falls right in the middle. The ratio of noodles to meat was spot on and there was a fair amount of both. Plus, the noodles had just the right texture to them. However, I can’t say that anything about it really stood out. The broth had a decent amount of flavor to it, but it wasn’t very rich and felt a little flat to me. Beefy, but not much else to it. While they aren’t my default spot for phở, I will say that Phở Huynh Hiep is a sort of standard that I measure other places against. If you can do better, you’re pretty good(and vice versa). However, I certainly appreciate how convenient they are and their consistency across all of their locations(I’ve been to three of them and they are all about the same, so you know what you’re going to get). Then again, perhaps I shouldn’t expect anything less from a near empire of phở.

Order hũ tiu nam vang dry and yet they didn’t give me the bowl of soup to go with it even when the server said that he was going to give me one. I asked the other servers if I could get the soup and they looked at me as if I was speaking in another language… I was speaking in Vietnamese to them btw.

Excellent Fast Service! Very efficient, server/host uses an iPad to take orders. Good portion, can order order phở in size small, med, large. Rice plates are excellent also. Fried egg roll was so-so. I wouldn’t order it again but everything else was great!

If you’ve been to the one in the Westlake area, this place foodwise is exactly the same. And that’s great! They’re phở is what you might expect, but delivered at great efficiency. I also think their rice plates are pretty good. They also have a nice variety of drinks and smoothies. The place is fairly new and clean. It’s not necessarily phenomenal, but if you want a solid phở place to go to when you’re craving it, this is the place!

Outstanding A real Phở Place new to the ranch market in Daly City. I like the fact that they are clean, close and quick. They take your order overran iPad. Repeat your order to you, and quick as you can look over your shoulder someone is placing your order into a bag. I do enjoy the fact that they place all the ingredients into a separate package so you can add the broth later. This keeps the flavors from mixing.

I’m not saying I was devastated when the old Phở closed down but I’ll admit it did leave a bit of a void: a hole in my phở-zone layer if you will. But Phở Huynh Hiep has stepped right in and now it’s business as usual. The continuity from the old to the new place is amazing and really rather comforting. And that warm bowl of phở and broth is as comforting as it ever was. In fact, I’ve been liking it so much that I’ve yet to order my usual rice plate and have stuck with phở every time I’ve gone. The food comes out fast. The service is efficient. And the prices are just right. Yeah, I’ll be back.

Cheap bowl of phở or bun for less than $ 10. Pretty spacious restaurant with plenty of seating. I got the Bun with grilled pork. The pork was seasoned and cooked well, with a decent proportion to the rest of the dish. The rice noodles were a good texture. My friend got the Phở and enjoyed it. There are also rice plate options if it just isn’t a noodle day for you. This is a great place to go if you are looking for some cheap vietnamese foods with quick service.

Walked in and was immediately greeted and sat. I think they realize that many of their patrons are regulars at their other locations because within 30 seconds or so I had a waiter come over to take my order. Luckily, I am one who orders the same dish most of the time so this was not a huge concern for me. Phở arrived promptly and was piping hot. It had good flavor, but I felt that the broth was lacking a little something. The basil leaves provided also looked like it had seen much better days. It was still a good lunch though. Kevin’s Phở is present now wherever I choose to do grocery shopping(19th Avenue, Westlake, now Skyline). I’m not sure if this is a potential stalker relationship or not… but I openly welcome it.

This is one of the better Phở places in the Daly City in my opinion! Whenever I eat Phở, one thing that I’m always looking for is good broth and the broth here at Kevin’s Noodle House was flavorful! It was a rather chilly and windy day when I came here so naturally, the restaurant was crowded with people. We had a party of 11 but we were seated promptly. The table, condiments and utensils were clean which is SUPERIMPORTANT to me! I hate it when you go to a Phở restaurant and it looks like the utensils haven’t been washed properly(ugh…gross!). The food came out within 10 minutes of ordering, which is pretty standard at any Phở restaurant. I ordered beef stew with rice noodles and Vietnamese iced coffee w/pearls. The stew broth had a nice but not too oily flavor and they gave me a generous portion of beef(about 6 – 7 pieces)! The noodles were slightly chewy but soft(which I love) and with a sprinkle of lime juice and a few basil leaves, this bowl of deliciousness warmed me right up! The coffee was strong and sweet and the boba had a nice consistency. I also got the spring rolls which were meaty and filling! Overall, I had a good experience at Kevin’s Noodle House. It’s always going to be annoying trying to find parking at Skyline Plaza but if you’re craving Phở, this is the place to go.

Warning: I did not get phở so cannot say anything about its phở but I will not be coming back to tell the tale. This place is Located right next to the ranch99 supermarket. I came here because I needed to fill my stomach before grocery shopping. I didn’t have much expectation(given this was in a mall) but the food actually was worse than what I expected, hence the lack of stars. The place is clean and well-lit, but it smelled of bleach and cleaning products. That already set me off. I got only one thing, stewed beef plate. I asked for an extra fried egg. The food came on a plate filled with rice. So much rice that I felt bad for wasting rice. It was pointless and again, when you see places give you a giant plate of rice, it usually does not bode well for its actual cooked food. The beef stew came in a soup bowl where there was one chunk of beef and pretty much just some bland broth. Granted the meat was at least tender. But it was a very small amount of meat and it being edible is as much as I can say about it. The fried egg was the worst part. It came on a separate plate and… the bottom was burned black and the top was raw. Having smelled the cleaning product in the air the whole time, I refused to put the egg into my mouth or into the rice or the stew. Yet I felt bad because it’s an egg that almost appears edible and I am paying extra for it. So the whole meal I sat there eating a small piece of cooked beef with big gulps of rice and keep glancing at the egg thinking: should I try to eat it? Some part of it? Will I get sick if I eat it? Will I regret if I don’t eat it? It was stupid to ponder over one single burned undercooked egg. It is even sadder that that is the memory I will associate with this place — forever. Good bye this place. I cannot come back to you. The memory of that egg, asked for but abandoned, dumped together with plate of wasted white rice, will forever be associated in my mind with you.

Kevin’s noodle house has always been my go-to place for phở so after I found out they opened a new location, I was so happy! Came here the other night with a friend for dinner. We were immediately greeted by a server and seated too. The service here is on point because we looked at the menu for like 2 mins and another server is already ready to take our order! I got the small phở tai bo vien, and honeydew milkshake with pearls. My friend got the medium #2 and we shared the shrimp spring rolls. I would say that the phở here is even better than the other locations. The broth was so flavorful and enjoyable. I felt like I could like live in it LOLL. Definitely will be back!

I usually go to the Kevin’s noodle house in westlake center or Irving. Now there’s one closer to my bf’s home! Yay! They’re phở is consistently good The spring rolls are very small and disappointing tho. Definitely not worth $ 7+
