Pricey but the food we ordered was very good. It was even delivered($ 1) to us so I give it 3 stars. Maybe when I go for Dim Sum the rating will rise, but it could also drop…

Came back after at least a year and they seem to have slower service. We came in early Sunday as a group of 4 but was not charged a 15% service fee as noted by other visitors. The food was okay overall but luckily they did have a few dishes that stood out. The pineapple bun filled with custard was nice and fresh, albeit small piece of pineapple inside, was nice and is rare to find in other dim sum places. Also their baked char su bun was also flavorful and fresh. The service for tea was quick which was nice but the amount of food being pushed around on carts was few and far between. When there would be carts they would have the more expensive plates that people seldom order and the staple dim sum plates were also few to choose from. It’s too bad they do not have a way of picking the dim sum you want as well as have the carts as a way to supplement the amount of dim sum being served. Only did we finally leave around noon did more variety come out :/Keep in mind we sat right where the food came out of the kitchen which is usually the best place to sit for dim sum. I recommend coming here early for dim sum as the wait can become long maybe due to the lack of carts with food. But just keep in mind you won’t have much to choose from.

I haven’t had dim sum in San Francisco(or Norcal in general) in years, so it was almost nostalgic to be waiting 30 minutes or more for dimsum on a weekday lunch. Service was very brisk and efficient, and our teas were always refilled right when we emptied the kettle. Food came out fairly quickly, though keep in mind it’ll be in no particular order(we received desserts first!) Portuguese Egg tart: Super crispy and flaky exterior, fluffy interior. This is the dish to get if you like egg tarts(or if you want to try!) Beef ball: This was actually a bit bland for me, even with the dipping sauce. Not my cup of tea. Siu mai: Juicy and yummy, you can’t go wrong. Taro ball with meat: The crispy exterior is VERY greasy, so do be warned. Ha gao: Pretty plain, this wasn’t much to talk about. Sweet pea leaf and crab: There was crab? I swear I was eating shrimp. Chives and shrimp: I pretty much got this confused with the crab dumplings. These were very tasty though. Shrimp«crêpe»: Pretty plain, though they put black fungus into the crêpe along with shrimp, which threw us off but also made it more interesting. Ham sui gok: Less meat than I was hoping for, and also very greasy, but it wasn’t nasty or anything. The list goes on, but in general consensus, things that were fried were always very, very greasy. Some of the buns(almond cream bun) skimped on the inner cream filling, and most of the items didn’t really stand out. It’s kinda-sorta a 3.5 stars, but I’ll have to stay with 3 due to the grease and the mediocre flavor of their classic dishes. I’d probably still come back though(when not eating dim sum in LA).

A authentic Chinese restaurant. This place is like a Chinatown Chinese restaurant out in Daly City. Don’t expect a fine dining experience you’ll be okay. If you come here Saturday Morning you’ll see tons of Chinese people. Literally. I think a good indicator of a good Chinese restaurant is the amount of Chinese people in them.

The wait wasn’t too bad on a Wednesday morning. But turn the damn heat on! I had to keep my winter jacket on the whole time. It took quite a while for the food to come out. But once it did, the food continuously came out. It was quite delicious. I enjoyed the shrimp crêpe and the Shu Mai was really good. I loved how hot all the dishes were. They make them fresh after you order. That’s probably why the food takes a while to come out. The service was mediocre. But what can you expect at a Chinese restaurant? Lol. As long as it’s not overly terrible, it’s all about the food bruh!

Another reviewer is right. We had a table next and were walking to our table… she then said, oh, some other party took it. Looks like the«friends» of the owner just decided to sit down on an empty table? WTH! She looked pretty annoyed, but it seems that it was normal to her. Other than that, the Dim Sum was pretty good. Except that I’m still waiting for my noodles that I ordered.

Came with the hungry family for dim sum — left irritated, dissatisfied and upset. Food was decently-mediocre, but the service was atrocious, unorganized and straight up BAD! We ordered additional dishes(lobster noodles and green beans) with one of the manager/waiter in the suit&tie, but somehow that order never made it onto a ticket for the kitchen. Needless to say we didn’t get our food.

My go to dimsum place, and it’s pretty standard. Good food at good prices. Expect a line and to take a number on the weekends. I usually always order the same items every restaurant I go, and I’ve been here multiple times– no bad incidences yet and I’ll keep coming back.

Worst dim sum experience I’ve EVER had. First mistake: coming at 10:45 on a Saturday. It was packed, the host said it would be a 30 minute wait but luckily we sat within the next 10 – 15 minutes. Sat down, and we were ready to feast! First strike, our plates were dirty and one of them had a little piece of food still on it. But we were in a good mood and let it slide. We were looking for shu mai, chicken feet, crispy shrimp ball, and the BBQ pork rice rolls with sweet soy sauce. The crispy shrimp ball was easiest to get, everything afterward was a struggle. We were finally able to get some shu mai after a few tries. Everything after that just plummeted down the drain. The cart pushers eventually just walked by us without even looking. I had to frantically wave at a lady walking by, and asked if she had chicken feet, without stopping, she just said later and didn’t even show us what else she had! I cannot tell you how many times we heard them say«later.» The same lady I asked for chicken feet from, gave two orders to a party next to us and said«later» when she came around to us. Yes I understand you may have ran out, but if we’ve asked you so many times then I would hope someone could just bring some for us! We didn’t have ANYTHING on our table, we had our bodies turned looking around for carts. And when people finally came by, it’s like they tried their hardest to avoid eye contact. We didn’t even freakin have soy sauce on the table for crying out loud! We had to ask for that too! I had to ask two people for red vinegar, AND the second time I had to get up and go to the stand to ask for it. For the 45 minute duration that we were there, I think we had food on our table for 10 minutes. We asked one of the higher position gentlemen workers if we could order from him because we striked out the past 9⁄10 times, but he said no, we could only get food from the carts. But why is it that another worker was able to take food from a cart and bring it to another table? Ok cool, so we give it another try and waited for food. Still no luck, same people came around and say«later» to what we asked for. Not to mention everyone has a terrible attitude. I’m Asian and I know not to expect the best and nicest customer service from Asian restaurants, but they were flat out RUDE. Fast forward another 15+ minutes without food on our table, we gave up on chicken feet and just ordered another round of shu mai. I cut my pieces in half so I feel like I have more food, and luckily I did because I found a nasty ass hair in it. Called the manager in the black suit and tried to order through him after explaining that we were a bit frustrated we’ve been waiting for 30+ minutes, showed him the hair in our food, and he said we have to order on the cart and he can bring us a new dish. SCREWYOU. Can’t accommodate a guest and let us order through you after we’ve had terrible service and found hair in your food? Disgusting. I have a lot of patience and rarely get upset, I held my tongue as long as I could in the restaurant. Never ever ever ever ever coming back. I’m just gonna stay with my go to dim sum place back home in San Jose, where they are friendly and willing to accommodate customers and let you order through them. Please pay attention to your food and cut it in half to make sure there’s no hair!

Dined here last night as part of a wedding banquet. They managed to shove about 300 into the restaurant for it, if that gives you an idea as to size. Look, it’s a Chinese restaurant. Service is on par with other Chinese restaurants, which is to say, minimal and not friendly in any way. The food was middling at best. Nothing really blew me away here. Most of your staples were run of the mill, and some things were just plain not good. What was termed to me as «long life noodles» had little flavor and were limp. If your life is supposed to be long I hope you don’t have to eat these noodles throughout. The birds nest soup was another miss, which is a shame since it was likely the most expensive course and simultaneously the most revolting. Ironic that bird’s nest is basically bird spit and we all felt like spitting it out. Not a place I’d choose to go to again on my own dime or if it was up to me.

Ok I’ve been here 33 times and I have yet to write a review for this place. Overall, the dim sum here is not bad, it’s better than average. Even my cousins in SoCal like this place and we all know just how much the food is better in SoCal. The service is always pretty good and the dim sum doesn’t disappoint. I normally get the beef crêpe and the beef balls here. For dessert, i ALWAYS have to get the coconut pudding with taro. It’s like the best dessert i’ve ever had at any chinese dim sum place(including Hong Kong). I’ve been here for dinner, but i don’t like their dinner entrees. They add too my sauce to the entrees, which i didn’t like. So if you are coming here for lunch on a weekeday come before 12, the best time 11:30. For weekends, come as early as possible !

This place is pretty cool. I initially wanted to come here to try dim sum, but came at dinner time, and learned the hard way that dim sum is typically a breakfast thing(I had no idea). Anyway, I had dinner there and it was great! I was pleasantly surprised that the food wasn’t super greasy. The food was really flavorful and the staff was really friendly. I went back for dim sum recently and had a great time picking items from the carts they are pushing by you. The egg tarts were my favorite. So yummy. I would definitely recommend if you’re in Daly City/Westlake area and need a Chinese food fix.

Decent place for some good dim sum at a reasonable price! My family and I have been coming here ever since they remodeled their interior to something more nicer and before when they used to wheel the dim sum carts around and you had to stop them if you wanted something. Nowadays many dim sum places have a checklist of what they offer and you write the quantity of each thing you want. They have all your standard dim sum staples that are delicious, such as shrimp and pork dumplings, random greens, pork buns, egg tarts, chicken feet and rice noodle rolls. My personal favorites here are their fried taro and beef rice noodles! I also realized they have REALLY good pudding for dessert; we ordered their green tea and coconut/taro flavored pudding. Every time I’ve been here, there’s always people and somewhat of a small wait but never too bad. Come on a weekday afternoon to avoid huge crowds!

If you want to experience«the worst customer service» this is the place! Here are list of negatives I’ve experienced today!(Actual experience may varied!) 1) When first seated, the server asked me what tea I would like. I asked for Chrysanthemum tea. Her response was«That’s $ 2 per person charge!» I know all chinese dim sum restaurants charge for tea… so I don’t get why she have to made it sound like I didn’t know! So I told her«OK!!!» 2) Majority of the dim sum ladies pass by you silently. Like they hope you won’t bug them to serve you! Over 6 carts passes by without a word of advertising what is being served! I don’t know what kind of training these employees get! Terrible management for sure! How am i suppose to try their food if i don’t know what they are offering??? If seems like i have to flag them down and ask each and everyone of them! When i asked they have the most nasty attitudes!!! Eewwwwww 3) Employees there love to chit chat. Very unprofessional ! 4) No menus on the table. So I have no idea what food and pricing charges were. 5) Food was average so that gets 3 stars. But the service was terrible so minus 2 stars! Feel free to share your negative experiences!

I barely ever go through the process of going on Unilocal and taking the time to write a review. However I am so disappointed by this restaurant, I just had to! The food was AWFUL! I paid 39 $ for what I could have paid 10 $ at L&L We ordered lemon chicken and orange chicken, but what we received was some plain no taste thin breaded(more bread than chicken I may add) with a small, small container of ‘sauce’. I will never be going again, service was bad(hostess was very rude), food was bad and we didn’t even get fortune cookies! Lol

Food is ok but not great like I have to eat there. I ordered a pan fried noodle togo and specificly asked for NO peas and change to bok choy instead. What I saw after I got home was whole container full of PEAS!!? Wth, theres no even one bok choy. I called the restaurant and the lady said«I put it in the computer already». So what? Shouldnt she check the order before giving it to the customer? Make sure you check all the food if you order togo!

It always makes me sad to visit a restaurant that has such low ratings on Unilocal(okay maybe my definition of low is three stars) and it’s actually really good! The service is super prompt and friendly, and I’ve never had to search for a waiter, even though the restaurant is pretty big. They bring salted peanuts before your meal, and their tea is godly! I don’t usually notice the tea at Chinese restaurants, but I like this one in particular. Just a warning with the food, it’s a little salty but because I like salty Chinese food, I’m a fan of everything my friend and I ordered. King Wah has such long names for everything, but I’ll tell you what l ordered. Family-style, of course. Fried Oyster with Bean Curd Clay Pot($ 13.95) — This is my FAVORITE dish. The fried oysters are huge and the the bean curd falls apart in the clay pot. This is a very saucy, savory dish… that also contains chunks of duck, I believe. Assorted Seafood over Bean Curd in Basket($ 12.95) — Great soup to start with, and I would definitely order this again next time. They are very generous with the seafood. String Beans in Dry Spicy Garlic($ 12.95) — I’m a sucker for spicy string beans in garlic, and this dish is no exception. This was my friend’s favorite dish. The string beans are perfectly crunchy and just the right amount of spicy and garlicky. Salted Pork Mustard Green Clay Pot($ 11.95) — Not a huge fan of this because it’s basically pork and greens swimming in a salted mustard broth, but it’s a good flavor contrast to the other clay pots in terms of texture. I can’t wait to come back here and try more things on the menu. Glad I finally found my go-to Chinese restaurant in Daly City!
