Anyone who would rate this place above one star should be castrated. The ambiance is mediocre at best. The food is substandard. The gumbo was the WORST gumbo I’ve ever tasted. The wedge salad looked like it had bacon bits, clearly had dressing from a bottle… Raises a few questions as to where the 8 $ cost comes from. People on the strip must be desperate to look trendy. Much like the people of the area this restaurant has the luster with no substance, costs too much to be so blah.

$ 6 house wines is pretty hard to beat in Dallas, but the food here didn’t really do much for me. The menu is an eclectic spread of flatbread pizzas, meat + cheese boards, and sandwiches; but nothing here really stands out and screams«EATME». They do have a fairly built out wine menu, but I didn’t think the food options really paired all that well. I might be missing something here, but I’ve never had a glass of Pinot Noir while eating a pizza(until last night haha). Their meat board needs more punch and quality as well. Cheeseboard was pretty on point though, so 10 points to Gryffindor for that. I will say that their service is pretty phenomenal. Waiting staff is really friendly and takes the time to hang out with you if you want instead of listlessly wandering in the back. I would totally come back for their house red and cheeseboard.

I enjoyed my visit to Winslow’s. It’s conveniently located and I was able to find free parking in the rear of the building. The menu is relatively small, but the food is fresh and very good. They have a full bar and nice wine menu, as well. Our server was attentive, quick, and helpful with the menu. I had the Tuni Ahi to share as an appetizer. We enjoyed it very much. For my main course, I ordered a special sandwich of the week, the St. Charles. Its grilled chicken with lettuce, tomato, cajun aioli served on a nice bun and a side of your choice. I really liked the sandwich. Overall, I would definitely come back when visiting Dallas again. There was a line out the door of the place across the street, but it has a different look, feel, and menu. Give Winslow’s a try. I think you’ll like it.

Nice little casual wine bar style spot. Plan to park in the lot behind the restaurant as front spaces are always taken. The bartender was handling the entire restaurant when we were there, but service was always fine. Good selection of wines by the glass, cheffy sandwiches, and pizzas. Pizzas were very tasty even if they could use another minute in the oven. It’s a low key, easy spot to dine at.

Stumbled here late, sat at the bar and was blown away! Omg. I lovedddddd their chicken salad sandwich. So amazing. I’m still thinking about it on Cali. I don’t like Dallas much but if I’m ever back I’m stopping here first!

Total bang for your buck. My fiancé and I were looking for a reasonably priced new dinner place to try and Unilocal led us here. We were somewhat disappointed with ambiance. Bright lights, uncomfortable chairs… BUT(and a huge but it is), the food and service was excellent. Seriously delicious food and even better prices. They have a happy hour like no other with 30% off of wine bottles and discounted cocktails, wine by the glass and beer. Small plates and pizzas are their specialty. «With each season comes a fresh harvest of delicious ingredients for our Culinary Team to incorporate into new recipes. Chef de Cuisine, Kelly Burton, creates small plates, sandwiches and pizzas that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate…» For starters we ordered the steamed mussels(the red currey coconut broth was good enough to drink, and rivaled that of Vickery Tavern– my other favorite spot for mussels). And for entrees, we split the the flavor-packed Jim Bowie Pizza(bbq chicken, smoked cheddar, jalapeño, applewood smoked bacon & bbq sauce) and the Rosemary Roasted Pork Loin(fresh mozzarella, salsa verde & caramelized onions). Both were impressively good. Our tab with beer and wine came out to a cool $ 60. We were stuffed, satisfied and pleased. We could have paid twice as much and gotten mediocre food. This place is a solid, reasonable, tasty choice.

We had been meaning to try this place and finally did. The service was great and they had a great wine selection. We had the cheese plate and the pizza and both were really good! I’m happy there is a place on the strip like this. I can’t wait to return!

So good! I got the ahi tuna salad and it the best one I’ve had in so long. The tuna was not fishy at all. The dressing was amazing. I paired it with the soup of the day which was broccoli cheese with a siracha swirl. Service was great too! Everyone was so friendly. I tried my friends pizza and that was yummy too. I’ll be back.

Needed a relaxing dinner after a long weekend and this place hit the spot. The staff was very wam and friendly not pushy or annoyed that it was close to closing time. Food was great very good flavor combinations that hit all the right spots.

To be fair, I like a lot about Winslow’s. It’s great to have a quality restaurant on «The Strip», and the service has been fantastic during all three of my visits. I’m sure I’ll be back. Here are the issues(which I truly hope are just the growing pains of a new business): 1) Although the menu and quality of food is pleasant, the prices are far too high for the area. The average price for a drink on the strip is about $ 6-$ 8, so Winslow’s is insane for asking $ 10-$ 15 per glass of wine. $ 14 for a pizza that isn’t much bigger than a singular slice? I don’t think so. Skip the overpriced/underwhelming dessert. 2) If your restaurant is DEAD mid-week(and I mean dead, literally zero tables), perhaps it’s too early to cut off your happy hour specials? See issue #1 to better understand the lack of traffic. 3) The place is tiny. There’s nothing they can do about this, and as long as you don’t plan to bring a large party, this is a minor issue that they can’t do anything about. 4) Don’t expect to find a parking spot during peak hours. This is the same issue everywhere on The Strip. Still, the pizzas aren’t bad, and I’ve had a good sandwich and decent wine. If you visit the Cedar Springs Wine Walk, make sure to spend and extra few minutes at Winslow’s and grab a bite to try them out.

While the menu is not extensive, the chef keeps it fresh by creating daily specials that are creative and delicious. However, the most important thing to note is their brunch mimosa special. For $ 11 you get unlimited mimosas that are made the right way– a glass of champagne with just a splash of OJ. The intimate size of the restaurant and luxurious white decorations are resemblant of Miami. Great addition to The Strip.

Love the staff here. Very friendly and accommodating, not to mention they describe the food well and are very open to pairing your food with a good drink, cocktail or wine. And then there’s the food. Had their pizza/flatbread, the mussels and a couple of their desserts which are just enough to finish off your complete meal. It’s intimate place, the closer you are to the pizza stove, the warmer it is but the bar is very social or you can take an intimate seat in the booths. Not to mention the vibe is chill so you don’t have to worry about the strip invading your dinner. I’ve become a fan of the people who work there and the food so I’ll be back for sure.

I’m a firm believer that wine is the best compliment to any food out there. So, whenever I can find a restaurant that offers good wine choices, I instantly become a fan. But, it’s the service and food combined that can make or break a place in my opinion. That brings me to Winslow’s… The restaurant is small and doesn’t take reservations, so depending on the time and day you visit, you may have to wait a while for a table. When we went on a Friday at 6:30pm, the place was fairly empty; however, an hour later, there wasn’t an empty seat in the house. Our waitress took a while to show up, but once she finally made it to our table, she was amazing. She explained her favorite wines and food items off of their menu and kept us engaged during her whole spill. The only thing that I thought about in the back of my mind was why she didn’t offer us any Happy Hour deals. Perhaps, they don’t do HH on Friday’s, because I know they advertise HH until 7pm on their Facebook page. My fiancé’ and I ordered a few glasses of wine and two entrees to split. The first entrée that came out was the Winslow’s Salad. I am not sure I have the appropriate words to influence any and everyone to order this salad; so, just do it. The salad was simple, but yet, extraordinary. I really think that what made this salad was the effervescent vinaigrette. I can’t wait to come back and order this salad again. We knew we also wanted to try their panini special of the day, but couldn’t decide on what side to get, so our waitress was nice enough to have the kitchen give us a small side of their Potato Salad and Orzo as a «sampler» side! The Chicken Pesto Panini was out of this world. It was crispy on the outside and warm and cheesy on the inside. The Potato Salad was light and refreshing. The Orzo was very delicious. Overall, I had a really good experience at Winslow’s and I am definitely going to return!

I stopped in this week for dinner with a friend and her son. I recommended it after visiting the Winslow’s in Ft. Worth and absolutely loving it. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, the service was professional, the atmosphere was relaxed and very nice and the food and wine selections were great. We shared the hummus and a 3 cheese plate… the cheeses were simply amazing! I enjoyed a wedge salad for my dinner and my friends had the sliders and the margarita pizza with in house, homemade mozzarella — that’s legit!

I was hungry tonight and thought I could solve my problem by thumbing through my bookmarks when Winslow’s jumped out at me. So I hightail it over to Cedar Springs and walk to the end of the block when suddenly a new place struck my eye. I thought to myself, «I should check THIS place out after Winslow’s» until I realized that it actually WAS Winslow’s. The place is very trendy looking, one of those where you can’t see a single light fixture, but you know the light is sneaking in from sooomewhere. There’s a beautiful backlit bar filled sky high with wine bottles, a pizza oven with a fire roaring in the back, and even some furniture out front to relax with your libations. Food options aren’t really that extensive. There’s a brunch(which I’ll have to come back for), a few pizzas, a few sandwiches, and quite a few«small plates». Their drink menu consisted almost entirely of wine(they have 3 beers on tap). I think this place is designed ever so slightly more for drinking than eating. Anyway, after hearing the recommendations I went with the Jim Bowie(which is essentially just a Hawaiian BBQ Chicken pizza). I thought it tasted good, but it honestly wasn’t anything too special. It’s not my favorite kind of pizza traditionally, though, to be fair. Service was great, the rest of the menu looked really enticing, and the place has a nice feel to it. I’d love to come back sometime, have a glass of wine and try their Ahi Tuna Salad.

Winslow’s is a new eatery that is still in it’s «soft opening» in the ‘gayborhood’ of Dallas. The name comes’ from the owners dog. I figured it would be appropriate to bring my dog and try it out, so we sat outside and the waiter was kind enough to bring us a water bowl for my pup. My friend and I weren’t too hungry — so we decided to just order the cheese plate and the charcuterie plate to pair with it. The brie cheese was def. one of my favorites I’ve had, and they had another one i forget the name was that had a honey mustard seeds with it. The charcuterie plate had assortments of proscuitto, breasola and other assortments. It’s also served with grilled bread which tasted really fresh and accompanied well. All in all, a great dining experience with really friendly staff. I’ll come back more hungry next time.

Welcome to the strip Winslow’s! You’re like a breath of fresh air! From the welcoming sofas in the entranceway, to the tasty & healthy food, topped off with a sweet waiter — I salute you. The prawn appetizer & yummy chicken salad sandwich my husband & I shared made me want to come back for more. Maybe I’ll have the pizza(made in your real pizza oven) next time. Now there’s finally another eatery as cool as Hunky’s in our hood. Make time to visit Winslow’s, eat in style and have fun!
