I’ll never go to another Thai place in Dallas! Nancy makes authentic Thai food that tastes amazing. I keep going back to the hibachi bowl, but I’m trying the Thai basil wings next! Great hospitality– Nancy and Jason treat you like you’re their family! Love the location too because it’s never overcrowded.

Worst food ever repulsive smelling… run the other direction… I think I was served 10 day old microwaved pad Thai noodles

This place was very unsuspecting. Didn’t have any idea the food would be so good! Drunken noodles to die for and the fried brisket. is oh my gosh!

From the goyza(we went through 3 orders) to the fried brisket, to the drunken noodles — it is AMAZING! We started with one plate of drunken noodles to share and had to get a second. I was 5 minutes down the street and ready to get more!!!

Jason and Nancy have created a diamond in the rough! Don’t be fooled by the location, this food is legit! We had the drunken noodle and the green curry… so delicious! We brought our bottle of wine, which they were happy to open and pour for us at no charge. Great people watching and really got to know the owners while dining. Casual and friendly. Don’t miss out on this greatness!

$ 10 for a half filled bowl of curry? I gave it two stars because what was there was good, but I won’t order from here again.

The food was really good. I’m not a huge fan of the overly sweet offerings at many other thai restaurants. This was more savory, and they really brought the heat when I asked. I had an opportunity to meet the kind owners. I really hope their business booms. If I had one suggestion, I think the portion sizes could be a bit bigger. I could easily eat an entire entrée, while at most places one dish lasts me 2 meals.

I really wanted to like it. But the tofu was taken from the package straight to the sauce without further preparation. To compensate for the spiciness of the curry, they thinned the sauce to a watery consistency Most red curry in local restaurants has a slight sweetening to it. Theirs did not. No refills on water, though they apologized that the curry would be overly hot. Owner collected money plus tip in advance at the table. We’re in a liquor store, so they sort of expected we’d walk over to the coolers to get a drink and bring it back to the table.

Uptown Thai is an undiscovered gem hidden within an unassuming convenience store across from Fireside pies on Henderson. Their homemade Thai food is out of this world amazing and better than any other expensive restaurant in Dallas. When I ate there last weekend I had the opportunity to speak to the delightful owners of this establishment. They informed me that this is a brand new place but their family has been cooking Thai food in Dallas for quite some time. Their mom prepares everything from scratch and only purchases ingredients that meet her scrupulous standards. Uptown Thai can make any dish to suit your taste buds. You can request how spicy you want and they will get it right while packing each dish with complex flavor. We went in a group and ordered multiple plates to share so we could try everything. We started with the spring rolls and Gyoza — the spring rolls were fresh and crunchy and the gyoza were perfectly proportioned and addictive. It came with a sweet Thai chili sauce and a homemade soy sauce blend that I just wanted to drink. In fact, as weird as it sounds, I would drink every broth and sauce that came to our table. No meat or noodles required. Next we had the Thom Kha soup which is incredibly delicious — we chose shrimp to complement the spicy coconut broth. One of the owners said that they like to add noodles to this soup and make it a one dish meal. I am definitely going back for that. Chicken pad Thai seems simple but I have been disappointed by other places. Their pad Thai is quite possibly the best I ever had. The red curry is also incredible. Someone asked for it to be very spicy and they got their wish without sacrificing flavor. I normally don’t ask for it to be so spicy but I could not stop eating it — soooo good. I ordered the green curry — words can’t describe the extraordinary flavors in this dish. And since we shared we ordered the Thai Basil rice which was tender and delicious. They will deliver through Grub Hub. I wish I lived close enough for them to bring it to me!

I stopped by to get a quick bite to eat. I had the fried rice with kimchi fried in it. The fried rice is so delicious that it’s making my mouth water while writing this review. Be careful of Momma’s chili pepper oil. Eating a lot will burn your mouth. Otherwise awesome customer service with a homely atmosphere.
