Went here for a friends birthday; which they were very accommodating to our party of about 20 people. The restaurant is not that big but they do have a room on the right for big parties which is nice. The service that we received was on point and the staff was very courteous. Sadly, I couldn’t say the same for most of the food. I ordered myself the stuffed chicken wings and pad see ewe. The stuffed wings are one of their signatures and you should definitely try it. It’s quite good. They take a whole wing and stuff it with herbs and spices and the texture is similar to that of a meatloaf with a sweet and tangy sauce on top. The pad see ewe is a different story. I ordered the combination and came away disappointed with what I got. I’m a guy that usually leaves nothing left on the plate but on this one, I just couldn’t finish it. The dish overall was dry and kind of bland that I had to add extra soy sauce on it. I also ordered a Thai tea(a staple in any Thai restaurant) and recommend that you pass on it. It tastes like watered down powdered Thai tea with not enough cream/coconut milk. When they brought it out it was already fully orange(no hint of white or dark orange like most Thai teas). On top of this, my friends also had complaints about their food(yellow curry and tom yum soup). The complaints were that it was too salty. Being a salt lover myself, I tried their dishes and agreed that they were a little on the salty side. The reason I gave this establishment two stars instead of one is because their service is great and their stuffed wings are pretty good. Other than that, there’s not much here in terms of food and atmosphere. There were quite a few misses on flavor and décor. My first experience here just wasn’t good and given the location from where I am, I will probably not be back.

They can make just about anything vegan. Red curry is delicious. But let me tell you, their Tom kha is the best! You won’t be disappointed. Their service is also very good, sometimes slow, but you’re eating out, don’t be in a hurry! Atmosphere is quirky, I love this place!

Best Thai joint I’ve found in Dallas thus far. If you can get larb right, you already have half of my heart. Service was impeccable. The outside is a little eh, but if you’re not afraid to wander in, you won’t be sorry. It’s a cutesy little interior filled with quiet ambiance and great food.

I went at 5pm on a Saturday; I needed to dine early because I was traveling that night. There were no other customers and no hostess. I called to the back and they responded, then I waited almost 10 minutes and got no service so I left.

Ten stars. Sakhuu is the best Thai food I have ever had, and will continue to have. The décor is simple yet elegant, topped off with a painting of the Fox McCloud from Star Fox in rull regalia, which is just as epic as the food they serve. The stuffed chicken wings are a must. Just get them. They are devine and have yet to be replicated by any other thai spot I’ve visited. I always get the pad woon sen with ground chicken. It’s soooo good I have yet to explore the rest of the menu. My friend always gets the pad thai for the same reason. But I’ve seen other guests with various plates and it all looks amazing. The peanut sauce is addicting. Wait staff is always courteous and friendly, even when it gets a little busy. This place is a staple for a great dinner before a night out on the town. The only downside is I live in Austin now and Sakhuu has totally spoiled me.

Nice lunch special!!! For 10 bucks you get a drink, app and a meal. The veggi egg rolls are super fresh and sooo tasty. Very good! They make everything to order. When my food came out it was a healthy portion. Definitely a good lunch find!

From start to finish, a great meal. Perfectly cooked, great flavors in all of the dishes. Very attentive service and our server was eager to make sure we had the right amount of spice for our tastes. Definitely my favorite Thai place now. And it’s BYOB!

I must say everything here is good. The happy hour is nice if you want to try something new on the menu. The wings are very tasty and for some strange reason reminds me of boudin. The pad Thai is very good and all of the dishes are tasty and they customize to order. I do recommend getting 4 to 5 on your dishes it’s not too spicy

The food is excellent and the price is awesome. They have a complete lunch with appetizer, drink(including Thai coffee or tea) and entrée. The green curry with ground chicken is spot on. Get you some!

Came here with Paul H. with super HIGH expectations. Like wayyy high. I thought the food was going to blow my mind. I was a little let down. Maybe it was because they were super understaffed(one guy running around and the other guy cooking) but man, the food we were served did not match the high rating this place has. I was expecting every dish to be on point. The green curry and the red curry were lacking depth and the curry sauce was on the thin side. The beef in our drunken noodle dish was very chewy. The stuffed chicken wing was very impressive looking– but it was missing texture. It was like eating a soft chicken meatball. Maybe that was the chef’s intention. The star of the meal was most certainly the Tom Yum Soup. They were more than generous with the portion and I can definitely see why my coworker orders it every time. Overall, I think this is a better place for lunch because they have a pretty good lunch menu and you don’t have to wait an hour to get your food.

What a nice discovery for lunch not to far from Uptown. Enjoyed the lunch special during my visit today, Red Curry with fried egg. Very small location and we arrived early for a good table for four. I recommend this little family run restaurant, great food!

I was the only one in there, and the host/waiter was so charming, telling me the history of the place. He recommended the stuffed chicken and I took the bite. I understand to is a favorite, and it is quite impressive looking, but it tasted like fried chicken skin swimming in overly sweet sauce. I’m not a fan. He was very accommodating when I said I didn’t like it. Instead I ordered the Yum soon sen with ground chicken. It was room temperature, when it should have been cold. I asked for 4⁄5 spice(because I’ve had unbearable 5 before) and it didn’t seem to have any spice at all. Overall I was pretty disappointed. I won’t be back, but they are certainly nice. I wish them well.

Décor: 3.5÷5 –friendly to large parties –dining split into two rooms Service: 2⁄5 –understaffed on tuesday night, our meals took over an hour Food: 2.5÷5 –Stuffed chicken wing was okay. The stuffing was too ‘mushy’ –Tom Yum shrimp 16oz is enough to feed 3 – 4 people. There were 9 shrimps. I’d say its a great deal for $ 10. –Drunken noodles beef was overcooked and chewy. –Overall generous portions but don’t expect it to be 4.5 star good.

We picked up Sakhuu Thai to go the other night since I was in the mood for Thai, but didn’t feel like going out to eat. I’m a huge fan of Thai food and I’ve learned to like a certain taste, and when I don’t get that flavor that I’m looking for, I’m turned off. This is what all we ordered for two’s sharing: Fried Vegetable Eggrolls The rolls were wonderful. They had a really good taste to them. Basil Fried Rice with Shrimp The only thing I liked about this dish was that they didn’t leave the tails of the shrimp on. I really don’t like having to peel my own shells when I’m trying to eat. The rice itself had way too much ginger in it. The ginger was so overpowering that I couldn’t taste any other flavors in the meal. Pad Se Ewe with Tofu The noodles were extremely dry and tasteless. The meal was supposed to come with eggs, but I didn’t see any eggs in the entire dish. I would never ever order this again, and normally I really enjoy this particular meal from places. Being that I can enjoy Thai food at other restaurants so much more than what I did from Sakhuu, I don’t have any plans on ordering from here again. The two entrees failed in many ways.

Hubby and I recently visited this place, and this is now my favorite Thai place! It was totally worth the 45min drive! We started off with the Tom Yum(3 stars) it was perfect! It wasn’t lacking any spice or sourness. Probably some of the best Tom Yum I’ve had. We happened to drop in on a Saturday afternoon and they had happy hour. I was skeptical of the $ 1 fresh roll(I got it with chicken) but it was actually really good and filling! I wanted to get more, but seeing how we ordered the large bowl of Tom Yum(which between my husband and I, we killed it!) I had to limit myself… For our main entrees my husband got the green curry(5 stars) and I got the pineapple fried rice to share with our little toddler. The Green curry was a hit with my husband, and so I had to give it a try(I’m more a red curry fan) the green curry did not disappoint! It was full of flavor and spiced just right! The pineapple fried rice was a little different from what I’m used too~ I felt like it lacked the curry flavor and was missing the cashews and raisins. It also had a lot of peas and carrots, but don’t get me wrong, it was still yummy! We definitely plan on going back and trying some more of their dishes! The owner is also super friendly! Thanks for making delicious Thai food!

Small little place on Bryan and Fitzhugh. Mom and Pop(boyfriend/girlfriend actually) restaurant with a limited menu and decent lunch specials. Their spice level is a bit Americanized, but, if you ask you can get it as hot as you can tolerate. One time when I was in a dude asked for a level 20! That may be TOO hot for my hole! I like level eight. They are BYOB and have a glass fee of one dollar for wine. You wanna dirty their glass, you gonna pay. LOL! The stuffed wings are definitely the star of the menu here. I have never had anything like them ever. Somehow they manage to scrape out the chicken meat while leaving the skin in tack. Next they dice and chop the meat and mix in some cilantro and onion, then, they stuff the mixture back into the skin and bake and fry. The skin is crispy and the filling is soft but not mushy. Simply delicious. Would make a good lunch for one or a perfect appetizer for two. Three dollars off during happy hour. The main dishes I’ve had here have been pretty good. The Gra Tiem was pretty tasty, but, it had a bit too much sodium, and, the garlic powder didn’t bring out that special garlic flavor I was hoping for. Also, when I ordered it I asked for fresh tofu and add green onions. They fried the tofu. My waitress caught the error before she brought it out and had them re-do it. They never added the onions. The waitress did offer to bring me some on the side. The Pad Peawan was simply delicious. I got it with combination meat. The meats were typical of all Thai places. Meaning, nothing special. I think I would have enjoyed this dish better had I gotten it with soft tofu(which is 99% my normal) or Veggies. Also to note is they got a little heavy with the pineapple. I think they could stand to tone the sweetness down just a smidge. It was borderline too much for me. Overall, yeah, I am a fan for sure. The stuffed chicken wings are crack to a «Ho. I think their soups are a bit pricey, but, I will go back and try the Tom Kha. My gut feeling tells me, their gonna nail it. These guys keep the menu simple, but, you are guaranteed to find something you’ll like. Especially if you’re a Thai foodie. They have curry, fried rice, noodles, and, stir fry’s. Also a couple of cold entres. Get it spicy, or, get it boring. Your choice.

Probably one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Dallas. The menu isn’t huge which is sometimes nice because everything on there is perfected! I’ve tried all their Pads(thai, kee mow, se ewe, woon sen) as well as all their curries(red curry is my fav.) and I love the fact that it’s not super sweet. Sometimes at Thai places, the cook tends to add too much sugar but this place nails it! We go here a lot and I love the two servers that I always see, Ron and Tia(sp?) because they take great care of all their customers. So shout out to my two favorite servers ever! Great papaya salad, stuffed chicken wings, soups, but most of all… I am absolutely addicted to their chili oil. I usually order the dish with 5 spicy but like to get some of the chili oil on the side for more heat. They actually make it in house and it’s just the perfect heat to me. It’s a slow heat, meaning, you’ll eat it, all of sudden start sweating and then by the time you realize what you did, the heat just goes away leaving the flavor. Which makes you crave more. Oh yeah, BYOB, no cork fees. BOOYA!
